82-Year-Old Massachusetts Veteran Assaulted for Holding Trump Sign

An 82-year-old man living in Fall River, MA, was holding a Trump sign in a public space. A passing car eventually stopped, the young male driver got out and allegedly beat him, kicked him, and tore up his sign.

And the left is now saying we need to disband police departments.

Alexandra Leslie reports at WPRI News:

Trump supporter attacked in Fall River: Suspect’s ‘face was so filled with hate and anger’A man allegedly attacked for holding a Donald Trump sign later spoke out about the assault.Charlie Chase, 82, said he froze when a man pulled over and started screaming at him.“The guy, when he came at me, I had never seen a horror story … that the face was so filled with hate and anger, as his was,” Chase recalled.Fall River police say the assault happened Tuesday evening at the rotary by North Main Street and Airport Road.Eyewitnesses allege the man was angry because Chase was holding a Donald Trump sign. They told police he screamed at Chase, then ripped the sign in half.“According to the other fella that was with me, I didn’t know that he had lifted me up, but he apparently lifted me up and flung me down on my back on the ground,” Chase added.Police identified the suspect as Aidan Courtright, 27, who later turned himself in.

The left’s hatred and anger intensifies by the week. Watch a video report below:

Here’s another from WPRI:

Mr. Chase is already back to holding his sign in public:

On the bright side, Chase got a phone call from Donald Trump Jr.

Tim Weisberg reports at WBSM News:

Assaulted Elderly Trump Supporter Receives Call from Trump Jr.Just days after being allegedly being beaten down for his political beliefs, an elderly Fall River man received the call of a lifetime thanks to WBSM’s Howie Carr Show.Charlie Chase, an 82-year-old Air Force veteran who was assaulted Tuesday in Fall River while holding a sign in support of President Donald Trump, was a guest on Carr’s radio program Friday afternoon to recount what happened to him. During his appearance, the retired teacher-turned-political activist received a surprise call of well-wishes from the president’s son, Donald Trump, Jr.“I just wanted to say I saw your story, and we’re sorry you had to go through that,” Trump told Chase. “We really appreciate the support and stuff like that shouldn’t be going on in America. I just wanted to say thank you for that support, thank you for your steadfast loyalty, for your service to our country. It means the world to us.”“I have to thank you guys,” Chase replied, audibly becoming choked up with emotion. “You don’t know how much you mean to us. Thank you.”

It’s great that this story has a happy ending, but it doesn’t change what happened. The left is acting out in anger and violence.

Are these the actions of people who think they’re winning?
