CNN’s Chris Cuomo Tests Positive for COVID-19

CNN’s Chris Cuomo Tests Positive for COVID-19

Will broadcast shows from his basement while recovering.

https://youtu.be/uDj-ZR4LI64

CNN’s Chris Cuomo announced Tuesday that he tested positive for COVID-19 saying, “I just hope I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness!”

Cuomo is self-quarantined in his basement where he will record his shows.

He tweeted a brief statement:

More from CNN:

Cuomo was most recently at CNN’s offices in the Hudson Yards neighborhood of New York City last Friday. He anchored from his home on Monday, and interviewed his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. The two men traded brotherly barbs about the anchorman’s basement live shot location.

Governor Cuomo spoke about his brother’s positive test result at New York state’s daily briefing on Tuesday.
“This virus is the great equalizer,” he said. “My brother, Chris, is positive for coronavirus. Found out this morning.”
The governor called Chris “my best friend” and added a little bit of the good-natured ribbing they’re known for: “He’s young; in good shape; strong -— not as strong as he thinks, but — he’ll be fine.”

All politics aside, this sucks. Sending Andrew Cuomo well-wishes for a swift recovery and safety for the rest of his family.

Related side note; share with all the DEMS you know.

“….strong likelihood Gov. Andrew Cuomo is being positioned to be recruited as the consensus nominee at the DNC convention. That scheme is 100% on track to be executed; and that plan would involve Andrew Cuomo saying exactly what he is saying in this interview; and then later he is recruited by the DNC club leadership and super-delegates. [Oh, and the club can pull this off… easily.]

Cuomo cannot hint he would be open to such a possibility because the democrat voters, who don’t understand private political club rules, may suddenly realize their precious “democracy”, vis-a-vis an election process, is really just a hall of mirrors.

March 22, 2020 – The ‘good cop bad cop’ routine with deBlasio just seemed a little too scripted… Then the framework of a usefully constructed contrast narrative started to become clear… Then, as if on cue, all national broadcasts started being interrupted for maximum exposure; again a little odd.

A deep, very deep, connection to Bloomberg reappeared as a little flashing light in the corner of the picture… Then the Murdoch’s started to shape the landscape; curiosity piqued… Followed by positioning that seems a little too centrally located in the political sphere.. Then Hannity and Bannon started singing his praises. Well, Bannon doesn’t exactly have a good track record of judgement… I digress. But it really wasn’t until the CIA started publishing their endorsement that things possibly started making sense. WATCH:

      Not the real important ones.

Why exactly does a hospital executive need to be in the office, when everyone who can work remotely is being told to do so? What is it that he could do from the office that he can’t do from his home in Florida? How would his flying back to NY help even one person? Especially when he’s over 70 and thus officially vulnerable?

This is just pure envy at those who have Florida homes that they can work from.

Milhouse, you miss the point again, the captain of a ship is supposed to go down with his ship, he should be at the hospital overseeing it’s operation, making sure they get what it needs

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | April 1, 2020 at 2:55 pm

He is overseeing the hospital’s operation, he is working 12-hour days making sure it gets what it needs, what more do you demand of him and why? How would his physical presence help?

the captain of a ship is supposed to go down with his ship

Why? As some sort of sacrifice to the gods?! This is something only collectivists could think of. I can’t believe I’m hearing such an evil, bloodthirsty idea seriously proposed on what’s supposed to be a conservative site. I think you just want to see him die because you are full of envy and bloodlust and hate the rich.

        Idonttweet in reply to 4fun. | April 1, 2020 at 9:26 am

Yes he can do his job just fine from his house in Florida, but you have to acknowledge that the optics of this absolutely suck. Especially if you’re a mid-manager who doesn’t have a ‘waterfront mansion’ someplace to which they can flee.

I’m sorry, but if you’re trying to have a positive impact on the morale in your company, this is a bad way to do it.

Milhouse in reply to Idonttweet. | April 1, 2020 at 2:56 pm

Optics?! That is what a hospital in crisis should be worried about?! I’m sorry, if you have time to worry about optics you are doing OK. And if the hospital is doing that OK then he should definitely not risk his life to be there.

When I was in practice, I tried to figure out who were my worse enemies. If you were a successful doctor you had a long list. I considered my fellow doctors, but as bad as they are, they were just an annoyance. Then I thought malpractice lawyers, but when you get to know them you realize that they are idiots. What I found were that the real enemies, those that could harm my practice, my family and my reputation were hospital administrators. They are bad. They can and will (for no reason) give away critical information regarding your practice, hold you back from success it you are not a chosen one, do terribly unethical actions to feather their own nest, in short, it you did not need one individual it would be the administrators. By the way, a graft was composed a few years back showing the increasing cost of medicine and put number of doctors and others on the graft. The number of hospital administrators correlated with the cost perfectly.

          Milhouse in reply to david7134. | April 1, 2020 at 2:58 pm

A graft? Sorry, not following you.

But make up your mind. Either he’s not essential and the less he works the better, or he is essential and the work he’s doing from home is vital and should be appreciated. You can’t have it both ways.

          david7134 in reply to david7134. | April 1, 2020 at 5:12 pm

          M,
Thank you for pointing out my error with graph. I notice that you hang out here saying a number of things, often not correct or lacking in proper knowledge. Now, 2 years ago, I caught an illness from a patient and came as close to death as one can. This ended my career. I did have brain injury and do have difficulty with on occasion with word use. Most people seem to understand the gist of my message, obviously you have difficulty with that or are trying to show some strange superiority. I presume the latter as you appear to be a bully. The other reason for the switch between graft and graph can be the Kindle I am using, I have already changed 10 words. As to my main message, if you do not understand my comment, but others do, then perhaps you need help.

          Milhouse in reply to david7134. | April 1, 2020 at 8:09 pm

Sorry, I am not a mind-reader, especially when I can’t even see you. You wrote about a graft and I tried to understand what you meant by it. I tried to make the sentence make sense, but could not. How should I know it was a typo?

Will his mom pop into the basement from time to time?

buckeyeminuteman | March 31, 2020 at 3:08 pm

Broadcasting from his mother’s basement.

“Chris Cuomo announced Tuesday that he tested positive for COVID-19”

Join with me, won’t you, as we send Fredo a great big,

“Ahhh. What. A. Frappin. Shame!”

JOHN B in reply to fscarn. | March 31, 2020 at 11:19 pm

Do you really believe he tested positive? Oh, he wouldn’t lie about something like that–when he lies about everything else.

And while average citizens are triaged as to who gets tested, how did he get tested so quickly? Not real.

healthguyfsu | March 31, 2020 at 3:09 pm

I hope Andrew didn’t rib him by calling him Fredo

2smartforlibs | March 31, 2020 at 3:24 pm

Make your brother some sauce.

Fredo?

I hope his family is OK.
And I wish him a prompt recovery so that we can go back to calling him Fredo.

It a hoax. I don’t believe anything until I see the paper work. I wish the reports would at Fredos brother if he has been tested 2 Zillions now.

Agreed. Cuomo is a known liar and propagandist. Show me proof or it will be considered as fake.

      notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital in reply to locomotivebreath1901. | March 31, 2020 at 5:28 pm

      They Fake Everything else.

I’ve got a local TV affiliate in my city that is infamous for their criminal activity.

I’ve long said they are so LOW they would even FAKE a major anchor having cancer, just to increase their ratings.

Not saying they did that, but they’re that LOW.

Fredo Coumo contaminated CNN’s NYC headquarters and his governor-brother makes twenty year old jokes about internet basement trolls.

And Dark City’s “SHUT IT DOWN, SHUT IT ALL DOWN” Mayor DeBlazio?

They’re cool as insincere cucumbers, but the rest of us? We’re supposed to shelter in place like shocked shivering atom bomb children in a 1950’s Rod Serling ‘Red Scare’ teleplay.

And so have 130,000 more important people.

Yes! Been having issues for several days.

    oldgoat36 in reply to Exiliado. | March 31, 2020 at 7:50 pm

It feels so scripted, like, “Oh look, my little brother, now has this disease. I can speak first hand on how deadly and horrible it is, with authority.”

I don’t know, I am finding this far to convenient, and notice his symptoms are practically nothing, he is the same hate filled nothing only broadcasting from his mother’s basement. Right.

The first thing I would do too, go over to Mom’s who is quite elderly, and risk her getting a disease which is far more likely to kill her, rather than staying home sequestered in a bedroom. Nope. Gotta get Mom in the conversation, even if it kills her.

If this is all true, it speaks to not only the stupidity of these two mobster connected phonies, but also their handlers who think no one will notice the risks they are taking for Mom.

    These are adults?

      Milhouse in reply to oldgoat36. | April 1, 2020 at 12:27 am

Um, how does his Mom come into this? Where on earth did you get the idea he’s even been to see his Mom, let alone moved into her basement? Seriously.

It’s all very well to joke and invoke the stereotype about fanboys living in their moms’ basements, but you do understand, don’t you, that metaphorical mothers can’t be infected with a real-life virus?

SuddenlyHappyToBeHere in reply to Milhouse. | April 1, 2020 at 2:31 pm

Milhouse, are you a 4th Grade teacher?

          Huh?

Nonsequiturs R Us. We may not make sense, but we do deliver pizza.

Seriously, I don’t see any way to read oldgoat’s comment other than that he somehow got the idea that Cuomo is literally in the basement of his mother’s home. And that’s just a completely bizarre idea to have. There’s nothing in the article, or in anything else reported about this, that could lead to such a conclusion. His mother isn’t even mentioned. Someone who didn’t already know that she’s still alive would never find that out from this story.

I wouldn’t wish the Wuhan virus on anybody, not even Fredo, but some victims are less concerning than others. Will this be a wakeup call for him? We’ll have to wait and see. It’ll be a grand opportunity to stop being a jack@$$.
.

The Friendly Grizzly | March 31, 2020 at 5:32 pm

He could move to southern Nevada, and change his name to Art Bell.

In other news… He tested negative for ‘journalist…’ 🙂

Will broadcast shows from his basement while recovering.
****************************
will anyone really know the difference?

A New Yorker contracts coronavirus. And this is news?

Fredo, you’re no MENSA candidate, but try to remember that karma is spelled with a “k.”

Dude. Take a few sick days. No one will notice.

I am skeptical he is short of breath and expect he is just feeling flu symptoms.

He is healthy as a horse and a gym fanatic that we saw in the famous Fredo tape.

Sorry but I don’t trust known liars who have an agenda to report accurately the severity of thier illness with the political games they have already played.

Hang in there, Fredo. I’ll watch you as much as I never did.

Got irony?

Maybe he should have been paying attention to the briefings instead of looking for a gotcha moment

OH Deplorable | April 1, 2020 at 8:55 am

Living in his basement? That sums up the whole of CNN right there.

Yacantfoolme | April 1, 2020 at 9:32 am

As long as Chris Cuomo’s family is relieved that he is quarantining himself in his basement, it would be great if they would lock him in there and disable all ability to communication with the outside world for a couple of weeks. The rest of the nation could certainly stand some relief from his BS rhetoric.

Much as I disagree with CNN’s political stance, I wish Mr. Cuomo a speedy recovery, and that the people in his famiy will all have their immune systems making the necessary antibodies and adjustments.
