“The risk of having hundreds of people return from their travels to the campus is too great”
This is amazing. Amherst is not only going to remote, internet based classes, they are sending the students home.
? Big news. Amherst College is closing down. Remote learning will begin after spring break. Kids must be out by Monday. They’ve been told to pack up as if they’re going home for the summer. #COVID2019

“We know that many people will travel widely during spring break, no matter how hard we try to discourage it. The risk of having hundreds of people return from their travels to the campus is too great.”
So they’re shutting down because they can’t count on their students to spend the week on campus.
Hmmmm, so in addition to the Kung Flu being a convenient excuse to a) cancel Biden events where he might implode and b) cancel Burnie events where he might advance, they are also c) assisting the economically challenged liberal arts colleges by reducing their expenditures for the next few months. I am sure none of those schools are offering refunds of tuition or room and board fees. “But if it saves the life of one child.” Totally shocked that they haven’t played that card, yet, but the day is young.
