Mitch McConnell gave a powerful speech just before Trump’s acquittal, which Nancy Pelosi apparently refuses to accept.
Here’s McConnell’s money quote:

George Washington University Law professor and self described Democrat Jonathan Turley is calling for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to resign if she can’t maintain the dignity of her position.
“While many will celebrate her trolling of the president, she tore up something far more important than a speech. Pelosi has shredded decades of tradition, decorum, and civility that the nation could use now more than ever.
Turley is an un-woke white male with patriarchal supremacist tendencies. He is also sexist by his comments. Hum… I am missing some more negative points about him … but I’ll let the super-woke step in and complete the diatribe.
Perhaps Pelosi should reconsider her actions in light of 18 U.S. Code Article 2071 (b) which states:
Pelosi mutilated and destroyed the official copy of the SOTU that Pres. Trump gave to her (and she accepted) as required under the Constitution. Seems to me that this could be a basis for removing Pelosi from office as both Speaker of the House and Representative.

Oops, my bad. It was all wishful thinking in any case. AG Barr is simply useless and will overlook Pelosi’s transgression of the law as he’s overlooked the criminal behavior of every damn democrat currently in Congress.
His path to ultimately defecting from the Democratic party has started.
It really makes no sense. Pelosi is playing to a small radical hate Trump group that will never vote for him anyway. She should be looking at people who might or might not be Trump supporters and appealing to them. Something else is going on.
It is incomprehensible to the people that hate Trump that they are not in the majority.

That was actually a good speech by Mitch.
I caught part of McConnell’s remarks to the press afterwards. He’s a canny political guy. He knew this was an entirely political effort by the Dems. As such he treated it as a political matter; he wasn’t going to let the Dems push him around. There was never any question that Trump would actually be convicted by the Senate.
So part of his focus was to ensure that his Republican Senators did not have to take any “tough” votes which might impair their chances at re-election. McConnell was taking care of his troops–Pelosi not so much. Who’s the better politician? Who achieved his or her goals?
Nancy you’re a rookie.
Nancy achieved her goal of impeaching the President. she wasn’t appealing to people still capable of thinking for themselves. She was campaigning for the rabid brain dead left NPC’s that are out there and not locked up in a mental asylum.
Mitch did good. I think he even maneuvered the dems into a situation where if they would have allowed witnesses it would have been at their behest with no one but themselves to blame when the Biden’s took the stand. No way would they only allow witnesses picked by one side.

Ouch. That’s gonna leave a mark. Nancy Pelosi ripping up the state of the union speech is the most contemptible action I’ve ever seen taken by an elected leader.
It should become the de-facto go-to visual of desperate frustration.
Perhaps two stalls in the ladies room with one hand passing the SoTU to the next stall.
She didn’t show disrespect to trump. She showed disrespect to the country. Why did she rip up the SoTU? Because there was no copy of the Constitution nearby.
If you really want to see Nancy Pelosi lose it, win back the House in 2020!
