Who’s Up For a New Documentary Series About Hillary Clinton?

Hillary Clinton simply does not want to go away, and her fans in the media are happy to keep her hanging around for as long as she pleases. The streaming service Hulu is about to release a new documentary series about her.

Imagine this scenario: The year is 2011. In the three years since Obama has become president, John McCain has given countless television interviews, during which he has suggested that Obama’s presidency is illegitimate and that he has been installed by a hostile foreign power. An entertainment company then decides to do a series about his life, his dedication to public service, and what could have been if his political aspirations had been realized.

That’s pretty much where we are now with Hillary.

Lauryn Overhultz reports at the Daily Caller:

Hulu Teases Trailer For New Hillary Clinton DocuseriesHulu shared a trailer for a docuseries starring former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The docuseries titled “Hillary” will premiere on March 6, according to a tweet posted by the streaming service. The film will also premiere at Sundance Film Festival in January.“Executive produced by Burstein, Howard T. Owens and Ben Silverman for Propagate, the series gives viewers an up-close view of the woman who has permeated American culture for more than 30 years and her historic presidential run,” the synopsis for the docuseries read. The series will have four parts and will focus on Hillary’s life during her time as Secretary of State, First Lady and a presidential candidate. Hulu conducted interviews with Hillary, Bill Clinton, journalists and friends of the family.

According to Lauren Piester of Eonline, Hillary wanted to tell her story:

Why Hillary Clinton Decided to Tell Her Story In a Doc Series on HuluHillary Clinton is telling her life story to Hulu.In a new documentary series, premiering in March, Clinton revisits her entire history, from growing up in a Chicago suburb to speaking at her college graduation, to meeting Bill Clinton in law school, all mixed in with what eventually happened when she ran for President in 2016.Clinton was on stage at the TV Critics Association winter press tour on Friday with documentarian Nanette Burstein to talk about the series, which is also heading to Sundance Film Festival this year. The very first question was, of course, why she wanted to do this and if anything was off limits.”There was nothing off limits,” she said. “As Nanette will tell you, this did not start out as the film it ended up being. It really started out as a campaign documentary, because we had about 1700 hours of behind-the-scenes footage, some of which is in the movie.”

Here’s the trailer, if anyone wants to watch:

Hillary tweeted this out to promote the series:

There has been some speculation that this is just an effort to stay relevant so that she can parachute into the 2020 race if the current Democrat field implodes.

Is it really a coincidence that this is coming out just as impeachment proceedings against Trump are about to begin and Democrat primary voting is just getting started?

At this point, I almost hope she does run. If she got beaten by Trump for a second time, she’d never be able to show her face in public again.
