Hillary Clinton Triggers Transgender Rights Activists

Clinton: “There are women who’d say [to a trans woman], ‘You know what, you’ve never had the kind of life experiences that I’ve had. So I respect who you are, but don’t tell me you’re the same as me’.”

Hillary Clinton has been on the receiving end of some very harsh criticisms in recent weeks from transgender rights activists after statements she made about the movement to the British media on two different occasions.

Her first set of remarks, made to the Sunday Times of London a month ago, were in response to a question from journalist Decca Aitkenhead on whether or not a person with man parts and a beard should be considered a woman if that’s how they identify:

“Ye-esss. Yes,” Chelsea replied.

Her mom, meanwhile, looked “uneasy,” journalist Decca Aitkenhead wrote.

“Errr. I’m just learning about this,” she said. “It’s a very big generational discussion, because this is not something I grew up with or ever saw. It’s going to take a lot more time and effort to understand what it means to be defining yourself differently.”

And while Chelsea, 39, said she supports children being able to play on sports teams that match their gender identity, Hillary, 71, appeared conflicted.

[…]

“I think you’ve got to be sensitive to how difficult this is,” Hillary said. “There are women who’d say [to a trans woman], ‘You know what, you’ve never had the kind of life experiences that I’ve had. So I respect who you are, but don’t tell me you’re the same as me.’ I hear that conversation all the time.”

More recently, in an interview with the BBC on Tuesday Clinton told interviewer Mishal Husain women who were born women had “legitimate concerns” about their life experiences and those of men who identify as women being viewed as the same:

‘I do think there is a legitimate concern about womens’ lived experience and the importance of recognising that – and also the importance of recognising the self-identification.’

‘This is all relatively new. People are still trying to find the language for it, trying to sort it out. I think in the right mindset this can be understood, but it’s going to take some time.’

In the aftermath of Clinton’s comments, trans rights activists told the failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee that the time is now.

LGBTQ magazine Out.com led the way in criticizing Clinton, accusing her of being in the middle of a “TERF rebrand.”

TERF stands for Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist. It’s used as a derogatory term in transgender circles, but it’s actually another name for feminists on the left who oppose certain transgender rights on the basis that they effectively nullify women’s rights.

LGBTQ Nation was similarly unhappy with Clinton’s answers, noting “Clinton did not explain why recognizing transgender people as the gender they identify as takes anything away from (cisgender) women’s lived experience.”

Transgender activists also took to Twitter to express their disappointment with Clinton:

https://twitter.com/aedison/status/1195020202704080896

This tweet, on the other hand, summed up things nicely:

https://twitter.com/Krisptina/status/1194797128754745345

Yep. That’s about where we are now.

The outrage from transgender activists is rather telling when you consider that Clinton has been considered an ally of the trans community since she was President Obama’s secretary of state.

It just goes to show you how even liberal women who support LGBTQ causes but who deviate even slightly get ostracized and villainized. Nothing short of total surrender to their demands is acceptable, which is something tennis great and LGBTQ rights pioneer Martina Navratilova learned the hard way earlier this year.

While I agree with much of what Clinton said on the subject, I have very little sympathy for the backlash she’s received. Clinton has spent much of her political life accusing people who disagree with her on feminism and women’s rights of being misogynists and sexists, no matter how legitimate their arguments were. If you stepped one toe out of line, you were the enemy.

In a sense, she’s being hoisted by her own petard on this issue. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving person.

The problem with trying to be totally PC is that you can never be PC enough. There will always be others who think they are more PC than you are, and they will try to shame you. It’s better to ignore what’s PC, and do what is right and never apologize to the PC Police.

At some point, PC is going to require you to step off the cliff of logic and reason and commit intellectual suicide.

O’Brien smiled slightly. ‘You are a flaw in the pattern, Winston. You are a stain that must be wiped out. Did I not tell you just now that we are different from the persecutors of the past? We are not content with negative obedience, nor even with the most abject submission. When finally you surrender to us, it must be of your own free will. We do not destroy the heretic because he resists us: so long as he resists us we never destroy him. We convert him, we capture his inner mind, we reshape him. We burn all evil and all illusion out of him; we bring him over to our side, not in appearance, but genuinely, heart and soul. We make him one of ourselves before we kill him. It is intolerable to us that an erroneous thought should exist anywhere in the world, however secret and powerless it may be. Even in the instant of death we cannot permit any deviation. In the old days the heretic walked to the stake still a heretic, proclaiming his heresy, exulting in it. Even the victim of the Russian purges could carry rebellion locked up in his skull as he walked down the passage waiting for the bullet. But we make the brain perfect before we blow it out. The command of the old despotisms was “Thou shalt not”. The command of the totalitarians was “Thou shalt”. Our command is “Thou art”.

If they have their way, the only way you’ll (if you’re a man) be able to prove you’re woke-enough is to suck a “trans woman” off. And no, I’m not being hyperbolic.

Good Hillary, now go have another gallon of wine.

We are already well past that point with all this trans lunacy

Pro-Choice (PC) is a selective, opportunistic, and notoriously exclusive quasi-religious philosophy (“ethics”), which is internally, externally, and mutually inconsistent.

The whole point of the PC exercise is to corrupt the ability of the body politic to think and communicate. The more time spent over surprising and browbeating people over the definitions of words, the less for consideration of genuine issues.

Meanwhile, over at The_Donald, there has been a swarm of troll posts designed to “show” that subreddit to be violent and racist, obviously in hopes of extending the quarantine and getting the entire sub banned.

Left to themselves, The_Donald is cheerful, with a rowdy acceptance of all comers who love America.

Oddly enough, they also report that their nemesis, the Politics sub, which usually is a lefty fever swamp, will sometimes revert to a normal, congenial discussion. This is said to happen when David Brock’s posters go offline for one reason or another.

That’s not an exaggeration: Brock runs something called ActBlue, which is parallel to Obama’s group OFA. With a little advance planning (us a different IP, screen names etc, duh) you can join that and eventually be invited to become one of their trolls. It’s not random, there’s even coaching in how to appear to be a ‘concerned conservative’.

Hillary Clinton unloosed so much viciousness into our national dialog with her campaign of character assassination against Donald Trump, that the Democratic Party still has not recovered from the loss of the last Presidential election.

The Party is not even recognizable, any more. Donald Trump was an inexperienced businessman who ran on the platform that the American citizens have wanted for the last thirty years. Had she run on that platform, she would probably have beaten him, or maybe even Barack Obama, before him. Instead she chose to make lying, slander and intimidation against American voters the basis of her campaign against Trump, and now the Democrat Party cannot seem to find its way back to sanity.

I really don’t care that she has been on the receiving end of a little blowback. She earned it.

Yes, different life experiences. Megalomania v.s. Gender Dysphoria.

She’s not the only trigger. Also trans/homos who have judged the impurities of trans/neos (and trans/bis) and labeled them weird and justify diversity and exclusion, a progressive blemish on the transgender spectrum (“rainbow”), but conforming to the politically congruent (“=”) sociopolitical construct under the Pro-Choice quasi-religion (“ethics”) in spirit and practice.

Their objective is to destroy the consciousness that there is an objective reality, that there are things, any things, that are objectively true.

Look at the bigger picture. If all it takes to be something is to “identify” as it, then anyone wanting to sneak into the US just has to “identify” as an American and he can walk right in. Or he can “identify” as the queen of Pottsylvania and demand to be treated in a manner befitting royalty. Or he can “identify” as an airline pilot, walk into the cabin and take the controls. (After all, flight training is a mere “social construct”.) Or he can claim to “identify” as Jack Nicholson and attach his property. Schiff can “identify” as the President and move into the Oval Office. It’s absurd.

The other pernicious concept is “lived experience”. The idea is to invalidate what anyone thinks about anything if they didn’t live that “experience”. Murderers or fraudsters can’t be condemned by a jury unless it’s made up entirely of other murderers or fraudsters. Ridiculous.

Nothing short of total surrender to their demands is acceptable

They’re just following the Gay Marriage pioneers. What worked for one group of irrational extremist activists can work as well for all the others.

So why can the Left use bigoted terms like CIS and TERF where they are labeling others against their will in a negative and hateful bigoted fashion. If mislabeling others is a hate crime then that is a hate crime.

Uh oh! SOMEONE is flirting with a trip to Ft Marcy Park!!!

The more this cancerous being is allowed to slither the streets in freedom, the longer our justice system is beclowned.

there are men, there are women and there are the mentally ill

For once, I actually agree with her.

I have no idea what the hell those people are tweeting about. And I have no intention of learning their language.

What is “transgender equality”? If it means they have the same civil rights as anyone else, I’m okay with that. If it means competing in women’s sports, it is lunacy. It doesn’t matter how much hormones or surgeries transgenders have, they are the same gender as the day they were born.

I’m so sick of this ‘Trans’ crap. Get the psychological help that you need and STFU.

This doesn’t mean that I hate you or that I am ‘phobic’. It means you have a problem and it needs to be addressed by a trained professional. You also don’t get to beat the snot out of women in athletic events. XX in one line, XY in another line. This isn’t complicated, or at least it shouldn’t be.

What Hillary Clinton says about anything has already been said, and by someone who does not desperately belong in prison.

It’s amusing—and sad—that she honestly believes anything she says, thinks, or feels about…anything, actually—has any weight at all. She’ll never again be in a position to wield power be over anyone, and the degree of influence extends now only to where she shops and eats.

“Caitlin Jenner is a Russian asset!”

People who are spayed or neutered move from “he” or “she” to “it”. They may look like a “he” or a “she”, but they are an “it”, incapable of sharing sperm or egg in sexual intercourse.

Hillary sold American uranium to the Russians. Does that make her a Russian asset. I think it does.
