Black Lawmakers Urge Biden to Pick Harris as Running Mate
Biden polls well with black voters.
Two old white males lead the Democrat primary polls and by a lot. So black lawmakers have started to push frontrunner former Vice President Joe Biden to pick Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) as his running mate if he wins the primary.
Politico reported:
“That would be a dream ticket for me, a dream ticket!” said Rep. Lacy Clay (D-Mo.). “If she is not the nominee, that would be a dream ticket for this country.”
Harris is everything the 76-year-old Biden is not. The freshman senator from California is younger, a woman and a person of color. As Biden gets dinged for his bipartisan bromides, Harris is winning applause from progressives for her merciless cross-examination of Trump officials.
Democrats are also desperate to boost black turnout in 2020, blaming the drop-off from Barack Obama’s wins as one reason for Hillary Clinton’s defeat.
“Either combination there, I’d love,” said Rep. Anthony Brown (D-Md.). “I think he’s going to look to balance his ticket so that the ticket itself is more appealing. … I think it would make sense and it wouldn’t surprise me if he picked a woman of color.”
Harris landed in second in a recent Economist/YouGov poll. In South Carolina, Harris is at 10% while Biden placed first with 46%.

I wrote in a previous post that Harris comes off as snobby and condescending with a holier than thou attitude in Senate hearings. She also played the race card to excuse her low poll numbers. That will not sit well with American voters considering we have grown tired of failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton blaming misogyny for her loss.
However, Biden polls well with black voters. In a Morning Consult poll, 35% of black voters chose Biden. Harris only had 8% while Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) had 2%. A Quinnipiac poll found that 42% of nonwhite voters chose Biden while a CNN poll had it at 50%. Once again, in those polls, Booker and Harris had less than 10% of those voters.
Biden has the ability to blend in with any crowd, which is why he could give President Donald Trump a run for his money. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) is not wrong when he told Politico that “Biden is very comfortable in African American circles” and “he’s just right at home” with them.
It would not shock me if Biden picked Harris or even Stacey Abrams. I think he should pick Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), but as I said before, race and sex take precedence in the Democratic Party.

They’d be an ideal pairing; history tells us that Harris would be receptive to Biden’s groping.

Presuming for a nanosecond that Plugs Biden could win the nomination and then get elected, we should want Horizontal Chameleon Harris to be the VP while Joe is 77+ Years Old having suffered in 2008 two (2) aneurysms; SO THAT WE GET OBAMA 2.0 WHO HAPPENS TO BE HER BUD AS HE THINKS SHE’S THE BEST LOOKING PROSECUTOR IN THE USA??
