I joined the Army in 1985. I actually stayed an RI resident (and paid RI income taxes, and my hometown property taxes on my trucks) until I got to Fort Hood, TX in 2007. I realized I was going to retire in TX so I changed my home of record to Texas. It was like getting an instant 7% pay raise, not even counting that it only cost me $60 to register my truck and I didn’t pay property tax on it.
Best of all…in Texas, unlike RI, the person I vote for usually wins.
Think about Fairfax’s disappointment, He was #2 (still is the bathroom variety),his tribe had rallied behind him to push him to an unearned #1 position, then his past indiscretions caught up with him. He is probably just another criminal now, sweating about when the hammer will fall. Now, he has to wait, and wait, trying to remember how many other women have cause join in, knowing that one way or another he is going to end up bankrupt and disgraced. There is one place he can go where being a criminal or jailbird is a badge of honor.
