Trump Will Hold Second Summit With Kim Jong Un in February

President Donald Trump will hold a second summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un in February. From Politico:

The announcement came minutes after Trump met with a top North Korean official in the Oval Office for over an hour. The North Korean official was reported to be carrying a letter for Trump from his country’s leader, the latest of several missives the two heads of state have exchanged.“President Donald J. Trump met with Kim Yong Chol for an hour and half, to discuss denuclearization and a second summit, which will take place near the end of Februarym” the White House said in a statement. “The President looks forward to meeting with Chairman Kim at a place to be announced at a later date.”The location will be announced at a later time. Vietnam and Thailand have both been floated as options.That the North Korean official is in Washington at all was itself noteworthy. North Korean officials in the U.S. are generally barred from traveling much beyond New York City, where they have an office at the United Nations.
