Pawn Stars Creator on Why Capitalism Beats Socialism

Pawn Stars is one of the most successful shows on television right now and the creator, Rick Harrison, was the featured guest on Life, Liberty and Levin this weekend.

Harrison is a self educated man who never graduated from high school and didn’t go to college. He has done extremely well despite this and he definitely leans right. Among the many topics he discussed with Levin, was the left’s fascination with socialism.

From the FOX News Insider:

Rick Harrison on ‘Life, Liberty & Levin’: Capitalism Is ‘Survival of the Fittest’Rick Harrison, of the hit reality TV show “Pawn Stars,” sat down with Mark Levin for a discussion on capitalism.Harrison said that the economic system is “survival of the fittest” and that everyone involved in it ultimately has a better life because of it.He gave Levin an example of its success through the watch-making business in the 1850s…”By 1890, the best watches in the world, hands down, were American watches. … That’s because in London, it took 17 different unions to make a watch. Massive bureaucracy.”Harrison said that example is just one of a million more about how capitalism yields success.”Socialism doesn’t work,” he said. “Big government doesn’t work.”

Katie Jerkovich of the Daily Caller has more:

“Pawn Stars” Rick Harrison explained why “socialism doesn’t work” and capitalism, in the end, works in such a way that “we all have a better life because of it.”“You know, it’s survival of the fittest. And in the end, we all have a better life because of it,” the 53-year-old reality TV star shared Sunday night during his appearance on “Life, Liberty & Levin” on Fox News with host Mark Levin. The comments came after the host asked the reality star if he agreed that a “capitalistic economy” is a vibrant one.
