What about ICE’s latest Atrocity!, deporting a helpless elderly man who’s had a clean record for over 70 years, just because he told a little fib on his visa application? (At least he submitted one, even if it wasn’t true, which is more than most illegal undocumented immigrants have done.) Yet another example of ICE’s Cruelty! and Inhumanity! and Literal Naziness! we have fallen into the trap of describing INVADERS as the term undocumented immigrants, as if those people had just misplaced some paperwork and need to pay a small fine.

After a day of reflection on this- I’m going to go in a different direction with my reaction. Everyone is awash in the illegal immigrant angle. Yes important for our national policy. But I don’t ascribe to victimhood. As a daddy, you don’t really give a flying fig if this was Teddy Kennedy, Ted Bundy or Ted Valdez Garcia.
As a daddy, it is your responsibility to make sure the headline reads: Female college student kills attacker (with 9MM, protection dog, rear naked choke held for a weeeeeee bit too long).
Evil is evil. It exists and may visit any time. Never abdicate your duty as a daddy to make sure the headline reads in your daughter’s favor.
Granted, the San Francisco Pier murder could not easily be daddy-proofed, but that’s no excuse for not tilting the odds. I say this as my own wife and daughter are visiting the liberal cess pool that is downtown Portland today. Grrr.
