UC Davis to Hand Out $10,000 Grants to ‘Feminist Researchers’
“across a multitude of various academic and sociological disciplines”
Once again, an institution of higher education is going to spend real money advancing the left’s agenda.
The Washington Examiner reports:
UC Davis looking to award ‘Feminist researchers’ with $10,000 grants despite tuition hikes
Fresh off a recent decision by the University of California Board of Regents to hike tuition for both in-state and out-of-state students, one school in the UC system has decided to fork over thousands of dollars to faculty members willing to analyze new feminist approaches towards research. University of California, Davis is doling out up to $10,000 per application to study feminist approaches towards research.
According to the Feminist Research Institute at UC Davis, administrators are seeking research proposals that utilize a feminist slant in conducting research across a multitude of various academic and sociological disciplines.
“The Feminist Research Institute invites proposals from UC Davis faculty for collaborative projects that use feminist approaches to engage in transformative, trans-disciplinary research,” the site reads. “Potential projects may seek to reduce gender inequalities, engage methodologies shaped by critical examination of gender as they intersect with race, class, and other categories of difference,” as well as seeking to “address power dynamics in the collection, interpretation or presentation of data, or consider how the position of the researcher affects design, execution, and interpretation of research.”

How is this different from what’s already being done? I’m not seeing a new angle here…
