School seeks admin for social justice ‘advocacy and activism’
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking to hire a new administrator to supervise “social justice education programs” and promote campus diversity.
The job listing, posted Tuesday, advertises for a “Program Director for Social Justice and Leadership Education,” specifying that the university is “seeking individuals with diverse backgrounds who can help create and foster communities that strive toward our vision,” a role that includes “respecting, appreciating, and advocating for the diversity of our student population.”
According to the posting, the new administrator will “assist with social justice and leadership education programs and opportunities for Residential Life staff and students,” as well as “supervise Multicultural Advocates, a comprehensive student paraprofessional staff position that addresses education, advocacy and activism around issues of social justice and inclusion in the residence halls.”

If they really wanted to “promote campus diversity,” they would look for a conservative to fill this political position. Fat chance that will happen. This will just be one more case of administrative bloat that will contribute to rising tuition.
