NFL owners have research “clearly showing the president is right”
While the NFL struggles to figure out what to do with its players engaging in anti-American political activism on the field, NFL owners reportedly are very aware that President Trump is correct in noting that ratings are declining.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:
CNN host John King said Sunday that NFL owners have data supporting President Donald Trump’s claim that television ratings have gone down because of players’ protests during the national anthem.
“NFL owners so far siding with their players for their right to free speech, but they’re also keeping close tabs on the financial impact and the public relations impact of this confrontation,” King said.
He went on to say that the NFL owners have research “clearly showing the president is right” when he claims the national anthem protests are one factor in TV ratings dropping.
“Since the president weighed in, the owners are now dealing with a surge in ticket holder requests for refunds,” King said.

I don’t care about the NFL anymore.. High paid players, $ hungry owners.. the dog took me on a long walk, read a book & didn’t turn the TV on once… my flag hangs proudly. I only take a knee at Holy Mass.
In the past few years, the only exposure I’ve had to CNN is watching (and, yes, I admit it – occasionally re-watching) their election night coverage on youtube, and the only one of their talking heads who didn’t seem flat-out certifiably insane was John King. So they’ll probably get rid of him soon.
I would imagine that most people agree that the players have a *right* to protest; the issue is, again for most, the wisdom of doing so in the manner that they do. The right does not carry with it a shield from the responses some might have to the activity.
They claim to be drawing attention to oppression, or bodies of people littering the streets because of police murders, or something…. as they enjoy their incredibly high salaries and unearned status (in some minds) as role models seems like hypocrisy to many, especially since the examples are nonexistent.
If there ever was a case of one biting the hand that feeds it, this is it. The usual response to this biting is that the feeding stops.
A huge number of kneelers are doing so to tell donnie to mind his own business, or words to that effect. Donnie CAN’T stop now–it’s got attention focused on him AND he gets to demonstrate his power over VERY successful owners.
Had donnie not joined the battle, the kneeling “problem” would have been solved in the sports market place.
Don’t worry, it’s being solved every Sunday, Monday and Thursday. Oh, and his name is Mr. President.
