CNN Devotes Less Than Five Minutes to Hillary Uranium Scandal in a Week

It has been pointed out many times that media bias is just as much about what they don’t cover. CNN has been called the Clinton News Network repeatedly as a joke but it’s a fitting name.
Since the news broke last week about Hillary’s Uranium deal, CNN has devoted less than five minutes to the story.

CNN: After 7 Days, Only 4 Minutes On Clinton Uranium Scandal
For the first seven days after The Hill published startling new information about the Clinton/Russia/Uranium scandal, the 24-hour cable news giant CNN had produced less than five minutes (3 minutes, 54 seconds) of actual news coverage about the case.
From 7am ET October 17 through 7am ET October 24, CNN’s reporters and anchors only mentioned the scandal twice: first, on October 19, after President Trump scolded reporters for failing to cover the story, anchor Wolf Blitzer offered a 19-second explanation of what Trump was talking about.
Then, on October 20, Blitzer’s 5pm Situation Room included an interview with an ex-Obama administration official, Jake Sullivan, who told Blitzer that Trump’s charge of corruption against the Bill and Hillary Clinton “had no basis in fact.” Blitzer, to his credit, at least pushed back, asking Sullivan about how “some of these Russians who were involved were giving the Clinton Foundation thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of dollars, and Bill Clinton was going to Russia to deliver speeches for huge speaking fees?”
That interview lasted a total of 3 minutes, 35 seconds.
When the story came up again Tuesday afternoon, it was promptly dismissed:
This afternoon, CNN also went live for a press conference by House GOP members announcing an investigation into the story CNN hadn’t bothered to cover in the past week.
After the press conference, CNN Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash dismissed the story as little more than a conservative conspiracy theory.

Launch probes! Congressional GOPers try desperately to take focus off Trump
For months, Congressional Republicans have watched in a combination of wonderment and terror as President Donald Trump has swerved all over the political world — picking fights, fueling controversies and, generally speaking, making a mess of things.
On Tuesday, Republicans finally took some action — doing one of the only things left to them: They launched investigations of the past Democratic administration and the last Democratic presidential nominee!
House Intelligence Commitee Chairman Devin Nunes announced Monday afternoon his committee — along with the Oversight and Government Reform Committee — was opening up a probe into a US-Russia uranium deal that occurred during when Barack Obama was president and Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. “We’re not going to jump to any conclusions at this time,” insisted Nunes…
To be clear: House Republicans are totally within their rights to open these probes. Doing so is one of the luxuries of being in the majority in the House (and Senate). (Related: The ability to open these sorts of congressional investigations is why Donald Trump should be very worried about losing control of the House or Senate — or both! — in the 2018 midterms.)
But, it is not a coincidence that these two probes were announced on the same day — and amid Trump’s ongoing circular firing squad routine. There are NO coincidences in politics. Just not a thing.
Cillizza is correct, there are mo coincidences. CNN is deliberately ignoring this story when it’s not spinning it to make it look like a problem for Trump.
These are not serious journalists. They are progressive activists acting in the best interests of the Democratic Party, not the American people.

Iowahawk said it best: to paraphrase, The media’s job is to cover a news story. With a pillow. Until it stops breathing. CNN is the classic case.
Hillary is on her way out the door. She’ll fade from public view for 2-4 weeks and then a Breaking News report will come out how there was a ‘Tragic Accident’ at the Clinton compound. Ignoring safety precautions, Hillary was examining the barrel of a pistol with her mouth. Another week of unearned plaudits, and then she’s forgotten.
In an ordinary world she would, but you’re forgetting about Tom Perez, her “creature” that was placed at the top of the DNC and who is already purging all of her opponents.
This is gonna be epic!

In a million years, she’ll never kill herself: like everything else, she’d screw it up.
As with all progressive/socialist/communist figures, at some point you go from being a useful idiot to no longer being useful. Hillary has reached this point and soon will be scorned, reviled, and erased from memory.

The only way an honest reporter for CNN can get a story on the air is to write a story about actual Clinton crimes and then substitute the name Trump for Clinton.
Now that’s news!

The sale of Uranium One assets is just one aspect of an anti-native, transnational conspiracy that also captures the Obama administration, whose role was not limited to merely a coverup.
CNN is going to be embarrassed when they’re scooped by all the other media (except MSNBC). But then, CNN isn’t a purveyor of news, so maybe they can’t be scooped.
CNN constantly reminds me of the guy who killed his mother and then demanded that he be shown mercy in the trial because he was an orphan.

They’ve been howling about Russian influence on the presidential election for a year, like a dog chasing its own tail. Now that they caught it and gave it a big bite, they’re finding it strangely painful.
There will have to be some catch-up now that Sen Grassley calls for special counsel.

The MSM HAS to ignore, or at lest downplay, the U1 deal. This is not strictly a HRC scandal. There were at least 10 people who signed off on this deal, including then President Obama. And exactly WHERE did that $145 million dollars in donations to the Clinton Foundation, from investors in the U1 enterprise, actually go? If I were the Clintons, I would be very careful to avoid becoming so despondent that I committed “suicide” or suffered a fatal accident.
The people in danger of going to jail, for their activities during the Obama administration, allowed the Russia/Trump collusion BS continue for two reasons. One was because it would harm the Trump agenda. The other was to divert attention from their own improper, potentially illegal, activities prior to Trump’s election. Their big mistake is that do not understand Trump and his supporters. If they had left him alone to pursue his agenda, then he would have used his influence to ignore what went on during the Obama years. But, they didn’t. So, now he and his supporters have counter punched. And, those involved in these matters are scurrying out of the light, while the MSM attempts to shield them.
