Michelle Obama wrote college recommendation for ‘Black-ish’ actressFormer first lady Michelle Obama wrote “Black-ish” actress Yara Shahidi a college recommendation letter, W Magazine reports.In a profile piece in W Magazine, Shahidi reveals that Obama wrote her a college recommendation and also gave Shahidi a “go get ’em, tiger” back-rub as encouragement before she took her AP exams.“She is very amazing and such a supporter, which is something very surreal to say,” Shahidi said of the first lady.The 17-year-old actress has appeared onstage with the former first lady during public speaking engagements, and attended the Obama’s final White House Easter egg roll, where she met Beyoncé for the first time.
