WATCH LIVE: Inauguration Day Coverage

President-elect Donald J. Trump’s inauguration is finally here.  We’ll be streaming live coverage and updating throughout the day as events unfold.

Highlights that I am eagerly anticipating:

12:00 p.m. (EST):  Vice-president Elect Mike Pence requested that Justice Thomas swear him into office.  This is a hugely historic moment, and I think it will be a wonderful thing to witness.  Pence is also going to use Reagan’s Bible for his swearing in; again, an historic choice.

President-elect Trump will be sworn in by Chief Justice Roberts using the Lincoln Bible, as well as his own personal Bible given to him by his mother.

Shortly after being sworn into office as the 45th president of the United States of America, President Trump will deliver his inaugural address to the nation.

*CNN reports that President-elect Trump has said he will be signing executive orders “right after the speech,” so it’s not clear if he plans to do so immediately following the swearing in and his inaugural address or at the later, more traditional time following the inaugural parade.

3:00 p.m. (EST): the inaugural parade.

*This may be followed by President Trump signing some executive orders (see note above).
