UC Irvine Panel on ‘Millennials and the Election’ Packed With Liberals

This sort of thing is bound to happen. People on the left don’t want to even acknowledge that conservative students exist.

‘Millennials and the Election’ panel packed with liberals at UCIThe University of California, Irvine hosted an event Wednesday about “Millennials and the 2016 Election,” with a panel consisting entirely of left wing activists.The event was part of UC Irvine’s “New Narratives” series, a series of programming dedicated to “conversations on identities and culture.”According to the official event page, “a panel of activists, journalists, scholars, and artists provide a lively interactive forum that will challenge the audience to explore strategic civic engagement efforts,” and while the specific focus is on millennials will “gain in the 2016 election,” the description does not mention that every single panel member was overtly liberal.The panel featured Michael Eric Dyson, a Georgetown sociology professor who said that “black people can’t be racist,” and claimed that “President Obama performed Herculean deeds in rescuing the banks, restoring the economy, bailing out the automobile industry, and getting his signature healthcare legislation passed.”Other guests included Jasiri X, a rapper who preaches Marxist black liberation theology, Lucy Flores, a Democratic Nevada state legislator, and Ashley Yates, a Black Lives Matter Activist and community organizer.
