UW-Madison Distances Itself From Racist Anti-Police Hoodies Sold by Students

This story got very little play from the mainstream media for very obvious reasons. It points out a double standard that makes the left very uncomfortable.

Media Trackers reports:

UW-Madison Disavows Anti-Police, Racist HoodiesCampus Reform published a story yesterday exposing a group of UW students that were selling racist, anti-police hoodies. Hoodies ranged from ones reading “All White People Are Racist” to others promoting violence against police reading “If I Encounter Another Cop With A God Complex I’m Going To Have To Show The World That They Are Human.”In response to a request for comment from Media Trackers, UW-Madison disavowed any responsibility for the actions of the students, saying, “The clothing shown in these Facebook posts is not produced nor endorsed by the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In this case, the individuals involved are exercising their rights to free speech and engaging in a private activity unrelated to their status as students.”According to a cashed version of the Insert Apparel‘s facebook page these shirts appear to be entrepreneurial endeavor of Eneale Pickett who runs the company out of a home and makes, “inspirational t-shirts for students of color, students with depression, low self-esteem, and college students in general,” he sells on Etsy.
