Cops Escort Fallen Officer’s Daughter on First Day of School

Vanessa Vega, 8, lost her father Jose Vega in the line of duty two weeks ago. Members of the Palm Springs Police Department wanted to let Vanessa know that they will always support and love her so they escorted her on the first day of school.
“Look it, Vanessa,” said one officer. “All of your uncles came by to take you to school this morning!”
Vanessa is Jose’s youngest of eight children. Her tribute to her father at his funeral will bring you to tears:
