“I Love War” Says The Donald in New Anti-Trump Ad

Pro-Hillary PAC Priorities USA is out with a new anti-Trump ad.

“I Love War” uses Trump’s own words against him, splicing together a soundbite reel that paints Trump as a trigger happy war monger.

According to NBC News, Priorities USA has dropped a whopping $5 million behind the ad. “I Love War” will run in markets across North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, Nevada, and Iowa.

If the ad looks or sounds familiar, that’s because it is.

Like the Clinton campaign’s official ads, it takes a page from President Lyndon Johnson’s campaign against Barry Goldwater in 1964. Back then, the invocation of nuclear war to scare voters was considered so controversial that Johnson’s camp quickly pulled an ad featuring a mushroom cloud. But the ad, “Daisy,” generated so much discussion that it went on to be considered one of the most successful and famous political ads of all time.

Based on the latest round of polls, Trump appears to be slowly narrowing the gap. Clinton is still consistently ahead, but current projections give Trump a 1 in 3 chance of winning.
