Trump Levels “National-Security Flamethrower” at Hillary

In the wake of the Orlando terror attack, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, delivering a stinging assessment of both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on their handling of national security.

Donald Trump leveled a national-security flamethrower at Hillary Clinton on Tuesday, blaming her for embracing an immigration policy that would drive more Islamic radicals to stage terror attacks like the one from which Orlando, Florida is only beginning to recover.Clinton, he said, would negligently implement a ‘catastrophic immigration plan’ that would ‘bring vastly more radical Islamic immigrants into this country, threatening not only our society but our entire way of life.”Ignorance is not bliss,’ he said in a half-hour speech at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.’It’s deadly. Totally deadly.’

In remarks to Fox News the day before this address, Trump took on President Obama:

“Look, we’re led by a man that either is not tough, not smart, or he’s got something else in mind,” Mr. Trump said on Fox. “And the something else in mind — you know, people can’t believe it. People cannot, they cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and can’t even mention the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism.’ There’s something going on. It’s inconceivable. There’s something going on.”Mr. Trump, who in a statement Sunday called for Mr. Obama to resign his office over the shooting, then added: “He doesn’t get it or he gets it better than anybody understands. It’s one or the other and neither one is acceptable.”

Interestingly, a report has just surfaced that indicates the FBI was told to downplay terrorism by the Obama White House, as it related to the San Berndardino mass shooting in December 2015.

A source told Jack Murphy of SOFREP that the FBI instantly believed the shooting, which left 14 dead, to be a clear act of terrorism. The White House, however, didn’t feel the same way and quickly moved in to squash the terror classification. This source added that as soon as the shooting took place, Obama convened a meeting with the National Security Council and the heads of other federal enforcement agencies to discuss a public relations strategy.Part of the reason for trying to avoid the designation of the shootings as terrorism is because it threatens to upset the Obama administration’s strategy in Syria. A case of Islamic terrorism in the U.S. would put additional pressure on the administration to play a much more active role in the conflict.

Trumps foresight and strong rhetoric against Islamic terrorists a welcome change from the saccharine inanity offered by Obama. At least Hillary Clinton now seems open to citing radical Islam as a problem.

American pastor John Calvin Maxwell once wrote, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” I think the evidence is clear as to which one of these three is a leader.
