I loved the commentary by George Will on Progressives in the Prager University video.
It would be interesting to do a follow up video on the differences between Oliver Cromwell and the Progressives too.
For example:
Cromwell outlawed Christmas. Progressives have too.
Cromwell outlawed Christmas carols. Progressives have too.
Cromwell destroyed Religious symbols. Progressives have too.
For many years, Cromwell ran the UK with an iron fist thus causing the people to cry out for the return of the monarchy.
We have gone from the witch hunts of Salem in the 1600s to the burn the conservatives in the 2010s.
How very enlightened we have become.
Ben Shapiro is due to speak at Cal State LA this week and he and Young Americans for Freedom, the group sponsoring him, are getting a lot of heat.
One especially deranged sociology professor is leading the lefty charge.
I hope to take a couple hours off work that day and attend.
I wonder …
… with the passing of Harper Lee, will there be a renewed interest in reading and celebrating To Kill a Mockingbird on university campuses?
By campus leftists who fomented the mob hysteria trying to lynch the Duke Lacrosse team members?
By campus leftists who swallowed hook, line, and sinker Rolling Stone’s fabricated University of Virginia frat gang rape fantasy?
By campus leftists who supported the mattress-lugging nutcase at Columbia and who insist all accusations of rape must be believed?
The lack of self-awareness among leftists co-opting Harper Lee on my Facebook feed is something at which to marvel.
