Jeb Bush Fails to Move the Needle in Post-Debate Poll
Lashing out at Trump isn’t helping.
Despite acting a bit more aggressive in the last Republican debate, Jeb Bush has been unable to move his poll numbers up and break away from the pack.
Dana Blanton reports at FOX News:
Fox News Poll: Trump jumps, Cruz climbs, Carson sinks in GOP race
Donald Trump, a candidate even Republicans once considered a side show, increases his lead yet again in the nomination race, according to the latest Fox News national poll.
The poll also finds Ted Cruz ticking up, Marco Rubio slipping, and Ben Carson dropping.
Trump hits a high of 39 percent among Republican primary voters, up from 28 percent a month ago. The increase comes mainly from men, white evangelical Christians, and voters without a college degree — and at the expense of Carson…
Support for Trump in the GOP race is more than double that for Cruz, who comes in second with 18 percent. That’s up four points since mid-November and nearly twice the 10 percent he had in October.
Rubio garners 11 percent, down three points from 14 percent last month.
Carson drops to 9 percent. He was at 18 percent last month and had a high of 23 percent support earlier this fall.
After that, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina, and Rand Paul get three percent each.
See the full poll results here.
Bush is now lashing out at Trump in a way that’s become a metaphor for his campaign:
Bush calls Trump “a jerk” https://t.co/FRpEs7294m https://t.co/oe0Z4weG4V

CNN reported:
Jeb Bush: ‘Donald Trump is a jerk’
Although Jeb Bush has been railing against Donald Trump all week, he still had more to say on Saturday, uttering perhaps his strongest comments yet about the Republican presidential front-runner.
“Just one other thing — I gotta get this off my chest — Donald Trump is a jerk,” Bush said to laughter and applause at his town hall Contoocook, New Hampshire.
Here’s the video:
He’s also eating your lunch, Jeb.

The only people who want to see another Bush in the presidency is the political ruling class, lobbyists, the Washington D.C. cartel.
He and his superpac can waste all the money they want, but it’s like throwing it in a big hole. They should use that money against Hillary instead of the other GOP members.
Cruz 2016
Actually, the Bush “superpacs” will spend the money they don’t spend on Bush LOSING on Hitlery WINNING! That has been the plan all along. Bush was DESIGNED to lose to Hitlery. Since 2000, it has been BIG BIZ v the world. And GWB, the Klinton cabal, etc. have been willing allies in propping up BIG BIZ and fleecing the middle class. Otherwise, WHY would the “Republican” House and the “Republican” Senate PASS a “budget bill” that gives the half white Obama and “democratic socialist” party EVERYTHING THEY WANTED?
…”break away from the pack.”? That ship has sailed. He’ll be lucky at this point to escape with his dignity, such as it is.
The pack broke away from him. He’s choking in their dust.
Too many siestas will do that to you.
Trump ate Jeb!’s lunch and dignity by slapping him down and treating him like the whiny kid brother that he is. I’d bet good money that Dubya used to pound the hell outta Jeb! when they were kids so the latter’s face naturally fell into those pouty, beat-up-kid-brother lines after a while.
Like I said months ago…
get out the marmalade; he’s toast.
It has gotten to the point that if any Republican candidate is associated with Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell will not be getting the Republican nomination for president. JEB! is one of many candidates who will be watching either Trump or Cruz make their acceptance speech for president. I just wonder how long it will take JEB! the jerk to realize this?
I understand and agree that being allied with the Ryan, McConnell, and the GOPe will be electoral poison, up and down the ticket. However, I do not rule out manipulating the nomination process [we have in the past discussed several ways they could do it, some more blatant than others] to put one of their own, even ¡Jeb!, in as the nominee. It would be the equivalent of the Omnibus Spending Bill treason but purely inside the Republican Party. If they were willing to do the one, there is no doubt they would do the other if they thought it was to their short term benefit.
They have proved again and again [and hopefully by now finally] that the Republican Party only considers its own voters to be the enemy, and it considers the Democrats to be their mentors. Do not trust either party to follow the law or the rules.
In a way, I hope they do force a nominee against the will of the primary voters. It will mean a quick end to the GOPe and we can start trying to build a SECOND party.
How many tens of millions have been wasted on this dork?
He single-handedly kept the GOP consultant class afloat this past year.
Jeb’s campaign was toast before he announced. If he’s too stupid to realize that nobody likes him or wants him in the race then he’s way to stupid to be given the nomination. The fact that the party elites and money men think he had any chance supports the idea that the GOP isn’t in it to win. They just like playing the game.
Jeb’s problem isn’t that he’s attacking Trump. The problem is that no one believes him. Hell, with a couple of possible exceptions, who believes ***any*** Republican these days? At least the Dems get what they vote for.
I believe Trump but he also isn’t a politician.
Poor Jeb. Even his friends don’t like him.
Out with the old: “You can’t insult your way to the presidency.”
In with the new: “Trump is a jerk.”
I think Jeb just feels like he can’t in good conscience drop out until after votes are actually cast in at least Iowa and New Hampshire.
Jebra needs to face the truth Mr. Trump kicked him square in his act of love vagina.
Really funny SNL skit on GOP debate linked at Breitbart.
Don’t any of you people remember? It wasn’t that long ago Jebbie was touted as the conservative Bush. What’s happened to you, don’t you believe the crowd that told you that anymore?
In a way, he is the conservative Bush. He’s just conservative on the wrong things.
Jeb is conservative on Terry Sciavo and Liberal on immigration.
That’s exactly the right combination of beliefs to turn off pretty much everyone across the political spectrum.
Jeb has been finished from the start!
Why he continues to say just wait and see where I am in a few more weeks?
The grassroots folks want nothing to do with him. Every time I see one of his goofy commercials I think what a waste of good money that could be used to fight the democrats in the general election!
Trump 2016!
The (word) Salad Shooter(tm) strikes again…!!!

Hearts Putin, attacks Cruz.
Whadda Collectivist!
Trump does get along with people better than Cruz. That is just a fact.
Just like Ryan and McConnell, you mean.
Can’t tell what you are trying to say.
He certainly gets along better with Hellary Clinton, Dollar Bill Clinton, Nanny Pelosi, Chuck (Cameras) Schumer, Dirty, Filthy Harry Reid, etc, though not so much with conservatives.
According to the polls Trump draws republican primary voters evenly from all sub groups from conservative to liberal. But this election is not about who is most pure conservative. It us about who is b est leader and manager/executive. It doesn’t matter how many johnny come latelys like “I will build a wall too” Cruz get religion about walls and immigration AFTER Mr. Trump has led the way.
Yeah, stupid, but “Mr. T-rump” IS a johnny-come-lately.
Jonah Goldberg, just for instance, has advocated a fence/wall/barrier of over a decade.
He’s not the Lone Ranger, either.
Phyllis Schlafly, an icon of the conservative movement who has been active for half a century, is warning the nation: Donald Trump is the last hope for America.
Phyllis Schlafly: Trump is ‘last hope for America I don’t see anyone else who’s eager to fight’
“He does look like he’s the last hope [for America],” Schlafly said. “We don’t hear anybody saying what he’s saying. In fact, most of the people who ought to be lining up with him are attacking him. They’re probably jealous of the amount of press coverage he gets. But the reason he gets so much press coverage is the grassroots are fed up with people who are running things, and they do want a change. They do want people to stand up for America. It really resonates when he says he wants to ‘Make America Great Again.’”
Schlafly said it’s not only Republicans who feel betrayed, but Democrats, too.
http://mobile.wnd.com/2015/12/top-conservative-trump-is-last-hope-for-america/
“They are betrayed,” she said. “There’s no doubt about it. The working man and woman have been betrayed by both parties. They’re ready for a change … anything they think would be better.”

That’s what T-rump said about Obama.
How’d that work out…???
At this point in time for the GOPe it’s all about electing shrillary. Every single thing they do will be with that goal.
Trump/Cruz/Carson have +60%. That will not be tolerated.
However, the GOPe will fail.
Poor Jeb!, even we he tries to look an aggressive alpha male, he still comes across as spineless beta male.
Why does thinking about this make me wonder what a face off between Jebra and Al Gore would look like? Would it be Walowitz versus Koothrappoli on big bang theory or Spence versus Danny on King of Queens.
Trump is an idiot. Unless you believe Putin’s critics are just extraordinarily accident-prone.
Ask former World Chess Champ Garry Kasparov, who has spent the last decade as a democracy activist. He’s been accidentally beaten and taken away to be held without charges for hours on several occasions. Only his great popularity has saved his life, and he will tell you all about Putin.

Of course, the brain-dead cultists who think Trump is some great businessman – even though if he had simply invested his inheritance in mutual funds tied to the SPX, he would have at least twice the fortune he’s made in real estate, without having the bankruptcies or screwed partners or contractors – don’t care what stupid thing he says.
And the white supremacists don’t care, either. He had them at “round ’em up.”
Who is it you support Estragon, Bush is it or Hillary?
If Trump is an idiot then that makes whomever you support completely catatonic because Mr. Trump is kicking their arse but good !! So what kind of a fool loses so badly to someone you say isn’t smart. LOL
Your comments about Mr. Trump as a businessman besides being completely false and/or out of context reveal someone who has absolutely no understanding of what the real estate and construction industry and casino industry in Atlantic City have been through over the last 30 years since the real estate and business bubble crashes of 1986-1987, 1991, 2001-2002, and 2008-2009. It is easy for a fool like you with no experience who has never risked his own livelihood and the well being of his children’s futures on staking and running a business to criticize those who have taken such risks.
Mr. Trump’s businesses have supported many 1000s of workers and their families, providing income for their current living needs, the needs of their children and their retirements. His businesses and his employees have provided millions in tax revenues to the federal and state governments. So that even the chickenshits who have never risked anything can survive to criticize those who provide the engine of their own survival.
In the 1986 real estate recession everyone involved in the real estate industry and construction went bankrupt and out of business. That included people like a former democrat governor of the state of Texas and every company big and small devoted to housing and office construction. But Mr. Trump survived and did not go out of business and did not go bankrupt. In 2008-2009 many companies went broke and bankrupt and out of business because of the recession and deflation in real estate prices. But Mr. Trump survived and did not go out of business. Yes some casino related businesses in Atlantic city had to reorganize under the bankruptcy laws. So did the casinos owned by every other large company in Atlantic City including Caesars.
It is offensive to see risk adverse cowards like you who never risk anything and aren’t even brave enough to publicly say who they endorse for President write lies about any businessman that has risked literally everything to invest in our economy, hire people, meet payrolls and put up with all the bullshit from government red tape and regulation.
Stick to writing what you know about because it sure as hell isn’t people, politics, or business.
The time for your elitism and snobbery is over. You are neither better than or smarter than the people who support Mr. Trump or any other conservative. You lie to yourself that people who don’t agree with your opinion are somehow less intelligent or beneath you, rather than admit the truth which is you just aren’t all that smart or understanding of the things around you.
I support Trump. I am quite confident I am a hell of a lot smarter than you and likely substantially better educated. I’m white and I’m not a supremacist nor a mindless bot. I find your mindless windbaggery is just the same old unoriginal bullshit people like you have been shoveling towards non-establishment conservatives for 50 years. You can take your insults and shove them where the sun doesn’t shine.
In short, F.U. stronger letter to follow.
Note that this is ALLLLLL ad hominem, economic STUPID, and chest-thumping by Gari (the liar) Britt.
But is IS fun to imagine Gari slaving mightly over his keyboard to produce what is essentially an intellectual fart in worship of his little yellow god.
Rags, its always good to hear from you the homophobic wing of the Cruz contingent.
It’s always good to see that all you have is lies and ad hominem. Usually in combination.
“Note that this is ALLLLLL ad hominem, economic STUPID, and chest-thumping by Gari (the liar) Britt.”
And what is this?
“Of course, the brain-dead cultists who think Trump is some great businessman – even though if he had simply invested his inheritance in mutual funds tied to the SPX, he would have at least twice the fortune he’s made in real estate, without having the bankruptcies or screwed partners or contractors – don’t care what stupid thing he says.
And the white supremacists don’t care, either. He had them at “round ’em up.” “
Polls likely UNDERSTATE Mr. Trump’s support according to LA Times quoting from Morning Consult analysis:
Republicans are more likely to say they want Donald Trump in the White House if they are taking a poll online versus in a live telephone interview. And, if you’re a highly-educated or engaged Republican voter, it turns out that you’re far less likely to tell another human being you want Trump as president.
That’s what we found in a new Morning Consult study, where we aimed to answer a prominent question raised by Trump’s sustained lead in the polls: Does he perform better online than on the phone?
How much this divide matters is hard to gauge. In an election like the Iowa caucus, where delegates vote in secret but are much more closely watched than the average voter, social desirability bias could play a role. But the vast majority of voters make their choice for president in the privacy of a voting booth – a method mimicked most closely by the anonymity of taking a poll on the internet. What this divide does suggest is that some polling may be understating Trump’s actual level of support.
This study was just our first step in understanding this phenomenon and we hope to start a conversation that can lead to a better understanding of the key differences between prominent polling methodologies today.

Conversely…
Donald Trump dominates the national polls, but he’s second in Iowa, according to the RealClearPolitics average. And, as I pointed out in a recent column, “The more that polls refine for the likelihood of a respondent actually voting, the worse Trump does.”
At first glance, this suggests that Trump supporters are far less likely to actually vote than other voters are. But “likely voter” methodology used by pollsters is some combination of psychology and modeling off of past elections. Trump, it’s safe to say, is different from candidates in past elections. One reason people don’t vote is that they think all candidates are similarly awful — exactly the sort of dissatisfaction into which Trump taps.
Could Trump turn unlikely voters into voters?
“The thing about appealing to people who don’t usually vote,” Political scientist Thomas Holbrook told The Daily Caller’s Jamie Weinstein, “is that they don’t usually vote.”
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/will-trump-voters-vote/article/2578546
Time will tell…
Until you conduct a scientific survey of 3000 voters like morning consult did there is no conversely just your bullcrap speculation.
I will give you that your unscientific speculation is exactly the same as a couple of other politicians named Kasich and Graham. They have been shouting they don’t believe the polls for months. So your opinion is in some spectacularly good company.
Shorter Gari (the liar) Britt…
I can’t hear anything that might be heresy against my little yellow god! LALALALALALALA…
“The more that polls refine for the likelihood of a respondent actually voting, the worse Trump does.”
What polls, name and date and methodology of same? Then how was “refining” done?.. you see that is an allegation you have quoted but it is just a blowhard opinion without something to back it up. So what is the backup? What polls conducted by whom and on what dates using what methodology are the polls that supposedly support the allegation you put forward. If you don’t have details then l you have is unsubstatiated bullshit.
I’m betting on bullshit but you can prove me wrong by posting requested details.
Poor, slavish, fanatical Gari. Incapable of his own inquiry.
Here you go, tongue-bath boi…
“Here’s another telling fact: the more that polls refine for the likelihood of a respondent actually voting, the worse Trump does.
Trump leads Rubio in New Hampshire, 21 percent to 17 percent in a recent Adrian Gray Consulting poll. But when the pollster screened to “Likely NH GOP Voters,” the result was a tie—19 percent Rubio to 18 percent Trump. Refining further to “Very Likely NH GOP Voters,” Rubio takes a nominal lead within the margin of error, 19 percent to 17 percent.
Iowa’s latest poll tells a similar story. Ted Cruz leads Trump in Monmouth’s poll, 24 percent to 19 percent. The pollster notes, however, that if they limited the poll to voters who had participated in caucuses in the past, Cruz would lead Trump 25 to 16, nearly doubling his lead.
This pattern suggests how things might shake out in the coming weeks. As pollsters sharpen their likely-voter screens, Trump’s numbers will drop.
Trump’s numbers will drop still further as voters get more serious about choosing a nominee. A majority of Republicans in both Iowa and New Hampshire are still undecided. Every Trump supporter I spoke to in Iowa immediately named a secondary candidate, Paul, Rubio, or Cruz.”
The facts…they BURN…!!!
You could only go two posts before your use of homophobic slurs return. Your homophobia is like being a pedephile. You just can’t stop. Seek help.
LOL an Adrien Grey poll has Trump over Cruz in New Hampshire 21 to 17. Iguess they really had to search for a poll that would show what they were looking to find. Trump has always led Cruz in New Hampshire in every poll by large double digits. His RCP average lead is 16 to 20 percent.
Facts only burn when they are facts instead of just made up bullshit.
Shorter Gari (the liar) Britt…
I can’t hear anything that might be heresy against my little yellow god! LALALALALALALA…
“The more that polls refine for the likelihood of a respondent actually voting, the worse Trump does.”
Kenny Rogers Loves Donald Trump
How do you feel about Donald Trump?
I really like him. I think his problem is that he says what everyone wants to hear, but he doesn’t say it well. I love what he says, I have to admit. He can be president and not owe anybody anything; he’s one of the few people has the money to do it, and has the guts to do it. You’re biting off a lot by doing that. He believes everything he says: whether he’s right or not, he says what everybody fears. My older sons laugh at me when I tell them that. They are Democrats that live in California – there’s no hope for them. They’ll vote for Hillary no matter what she does. She’s a friend of mine, I’m not trashing her.

The fallacy of celebrity approval.
How many celebrities backed Obama? How many still DO?
Poor Gari…
I remember a “celebrity” who backed both Obama and Hellary.
His name IS Donald Trump.
You no doubt remember many things that aren’t true. Trump supported both McCain and Romney in general election
Oh, please, please, please lie just a bit more, Gari.
Than I’ll close the net and beat you like a dogfish.
Saw Trumps speech in Michigan tonight. Man he was on fire. Huge crowd cheering and wild applause. Biggest applause line “build the wall”. Other great lines on Hillary being a liar and Hillary being crooked. So crooked. It was fantastic calling her a liar and crooked in those words to wild applause. Also pointed out some of Obama’s reckless behavior and horrible deals and then said Obama 8s such a loser. Again to wild applause.
I’ll bet that made you all moist. Did you faint? Oh, the rapture…!!!
Besides being a demonstrated homophobic ass you are clearly at a disadvantage in relating to my comments about Mr. Trump’s speech because as a Cruz supporter you have absolutely no idea what it is like to see your guy give a real stem winder speech to a huge (many thousands) overflowing crowd.
Crowd envy. It is a terrible thing. Join a Cruz can’t get no crowds support group. I hear they can help the mentally deranged like yourself.
Another thing that T-rump and Bernie Sanders share, along with their hate of the free market and property rights!
Sqeeeee….!!!
