Pat Austin at And So It Goes In Shreveport is one of my favorite bloggers. I am a big fan of hers.
Pat was part of the Not One Red Cent group which launched Marco Rubio’s primary challenge against Charlie Crist. I have communicated with her pretty much since the start of Legal Insurrection, .
So it’s with sadness that I read today, On the Passing of My Mother:
I have written a great deal in this space about my mother through the five or so years of this blog but now mom and I have ended a long journey together. I got the call Tuesday morning that she had moved on without me.
Mom died in her sleep during the night.
It’s sad for those of us that loved her but she was more than ready, was totally at peace with it, and was looking forward to seeing my father, her parents and her good friends. And I know she isn’t suffering anymore.
There’s more at the link.
Our condolences.

My mother wanted to see her favourite dogs again.
I think secretly that is the case with many people.
May she rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers to the family of this lovely woman.
I recently read “Proof of Heaven” by Eben Alexander, a neurosurgeon’s journey into the afterlife. Since he was destined to return to earth, he saw a part of heaven with green grass, people, and dogs, but didn’t spend any time there. I only wish he could have described that realm in more vivid detail.
Yay dogs!
Thank you. You’re one of my favorites, too!
With the inevitability of death, the ideal passing happens with peace of mind.
Since Mary enjoyed that peace, may her family also benefit from her wisdom and good fortune.
Prayers for her mother’s spirit and the comfort of her family.
