Breaking – Jesse Jr. ran ’cause he had the runs

Breaking – Jesse Jr. ran ’cause he had the runs

As Anne noted previously, Jesse Jackson, Jr. was on the run for weeks until he was found at a rehab clinic in Arizona.

There has been wild speculation as to the problem.

Now, via The Chicago Tribune, Jackson has been diagnosed with depression and gastrointestinal problems:

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota “for extensive inpatient evaluation for depression and gastrointestinal issues,” according to a statement from Jackson sent late Friday by Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo.

Jackson’s whereabouts have been a mystery since he went on medical leave June 10. The statement issued Friday said the congressman “has arrived at Mayo Clinic,” but did not say where he came from….

The full text of the statement, which was confirmed by a Mayor Clinic spokeswoman:

“CongressmanJesse Jackson Jr. has arrived at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., for extensive inpatient evaluation for depression and gastrointestinal issues.

“Further information will be released as Congressman Jackson’s evaluation proceeds.
“Congressman Jackson and his family are grateful for the outpouring of support and prayers that have been received throughout his care.

“NOTE: No additional updates are expected this weekend.”

Seems like a pretty “thin” excuse to me 😉

Gastric worry ulcers, caused by fear of going to the slammah?

He and Blago could be roomies. Who would be senior? Governor or House?

Anal leakage? Remind him that he is under investigation for the Blago debacle….that should tighten up his pucker tube.

rightatthebeach | July 27, 2012 at 11:13 pm

Had his stomach pumped?

Let’s not forget that he had, but lied about, gastric bypass surgery.
With good fortune he will not “bypass” the investigation, but become a cell mate with Blago.

Bypass surgery? Really? If you have a source for that it would be great to cite that.

Let me get medical for a moment: bypass surgery is serious surgery. There are a number of complications in both the near-term and long-term. If he had the surgery a while back, the most serious long-term issues are nutritional. One must have a diet that emphasizes providing all the vitamins, etc., because eating in the usual way won’t get it done.

So it’s possible (not likely but possible) that he has some issues from bypass surgery, and that would send him to Mayo. I can see why he wouldn’t want that broadcast.

Not to digress, but:

How is it that Blago went to jail for selling Obama’s Senate seat, but Obama gets off scot-free?

“Obama didn’t know!” his mindless supporters say. Yeah, right.

The scariest thing about the Democrats: they’re no longer a party; they’re now a fetish-cult. The fetish 150 years ago was slavery; today, it’s Stalinist government. These are frightening people.

Blago was convicted of several charges non of which were the sale of the senate seat. And, he did not benefit in any way for all his transgressions.

What did 0bama have to do with it? Even if he had known what Blago was doing, how would that be a crime?

I’d say he’s full of shit, but…

diarrhea of the mouth … RUNS in the family. Looks like it is spreading. If a Jackson goes down, who else will he puke up to reduce his sentence? Or maybe it was just the pressure, that moved him.

It must be hell to have to wear a diaper and sleep on rubber sheets in the summer heat of D C and Chicago. His condition is’nt helped by his compulsive masterbation.

Going first to Arizona for a couple of weeks only to transfer to the Mayo Clinic for “extensitve inpatient evaluation for depression and gastrointestinal issues” sounds like it could be serious. People say depression is brutal. Mike Wallace admitted he tried committing suicide during one of his bouts with depression. The brilliant writer David Foster Wallace successfully committed suicide a couple of years ago at age 46 after having endured years of treatments for his depression.

As much as I despise JJJr’s politics, he does have a family. I hope he gets the treatment he needs to recover.

Colitis and/or Crohn’s Disease can be terribly painful, so I can definitely see a situation where he “self-medicated” for a while, then finally caved in to get some help.

A lot of folks put off treatment of lower-GI problems for fear of what the treatment is going to entail (e.g., colostomy, ileostomy, removal of colon, etc.).

As someone who only recently went into remission for Stage III colon cancer, I find the headline and a lot of these comments well below the level of decorum I’d come to expect of LI. Pretty shameful and embarassing.

The Democrats seem to get the runs whenever people stand against them.

Remember the Democrat Wisconsin and Texas state house representatives fleeing their states to avoid a vote?

At what point does RICO start applying to the Democratic Party? And don’t say 1861, either!

Spew Progressive MESSage long enough and result is inevitably blown O’ring

Y’all know, of course, that people “taking the cure” from any kind of addiction to one of the opium based drugs have sever gastrointestinal issues. Urban politicians tend toward a different sort of addiction than the alcohol of the rest of the pols.

It sounds like a guilty conscience is the diagnosis.

Send him some of that scratchy toilet paper that is used in jails. Better yet, send him to where the scratchy toilet paper is issued.

JJ got da bubbleguts!

No doubt brought on by fear… which would imply that, unlike Sr, he has a conscience.

unless he’s pooping white any mention of the runs is a racist statement.
/typical lib

I still say he attempted suicide in a motel somewhere maybe in AZ or NV but the fambly got involved soon enough to clamp a lid on it.

Now there’s complications so he’s going to Mayo for further reconstruction/specialists OR to set the stage for “unexpected complications from surgery” resulting in his demise. (in other words they decide to take him off his feeding|breathing tube and pull the plug.)

Bets?

Nothing will tear your stomach up worse than booze.
