Attack on Jewish school in France

Attack on Jewish school in France

Via The Times of Israel:

Four people were shot and killed at a Jewish school in the French city of Toulouse Monday morning.

A rabbi and his two young children were among the dead, as well as an 8-year-old girl. Several more people were injured.

Rabbi Jonathan Sandler, 30, was on his way to drop off his kids at the Gan Rachi kindergarten, adjacent to the Ozar Hatorah school where he teaches, when he was gunned down along with his two sons Gavriel and Aryeh, 6 and 3 years old. Miriam Monstango, 8, the daughter of the head of Ozar Hatorah, was shot as well and died of her wounds shortly after.

There’s a special place in Hell for people who intentionally harm children.

Burn in hell, you bastard.

Hell is too good for them.

      Terri, I agree.

You know, the story is way too long for here, but suffice it to say that I had absolutely no choice but to kill a pigeon one time when I lived in Japan.

I’ve always hated pigeons, they are filthy and give me the creeps. But the experience of killing that bird left me shaking uncontrollably. Killing even a lowly animal like that freaked me out. I’ve never shaken like that before or since. I remember telling my wife I don’t know if I could ever be a farmer, much less a soldier.

But, that being said, I’d have no problem pulling the switch on someone like this. I’d volunteer … maybe slap a few pounds of bacon in his lap and not flip the switch back until it was completely fried. Killing that bird would bother me more than killing someone who had intentionally killed children. There is no lower life form.

You must be an “Israeli-firster” for reporting this news.

It strikes me as very strange that apparently there is a “national manhunt” for the perpetrator but no description of what he looks like. And this wasn’t a drive by. He got off of his bike and started shooting so someone must have seen something about him. Are the politically correct powers that by trying hard not to blame it on muslims? It could just be a French racist, France is known for being abnormally racist, but my guess is that they would be letting everyone know this if this was the case.

“France is known for being abnormally racist…”

Not trying to pick a fight, but I’ve understood the opposite to be true historically.

Are you familiar with the National Front? They are a group of historically racist anti-semitic fascists who as recently as 2002 received 17% of the popular vote in the Presidential elections. In 2007, they “only” got 10% of the vote.

Then let’s not forget the Vichy collaboration with the Nazis and the Dreyfus affair.

Further back, Jews only became welcome in France thanks to Napoleon. Before that were a series of pogroms, seizures and expulsions.

Ah, I see your point. You meant to say “anti-semitic” but not racist.

I don’t know that I even agree with that. The history of European…even British…anti-semitism is very well established. I know of no happy exception to that, and France was not worse.

The National Front is not just anti-semitic but anti anyone not French.

Ragspierre in reply to Ragspierre. | March 19, 2012 at 1:58 pm

Yep. Like the other nationalist-xenophobic reactions to the excesses of multi-cultural dogma breaking out all over Europe.

Being “not French” is not being of a race, either. There are French citizens with long French heritage of many races, as I figure you likely know.

France was considered a haven for American blacks, as I hope you know, for instance. Along with Africans, Asians, etc. during periods of American history (i.e., the Progressive Era) when they were heavily discriminated against here.

Whether there is some visible identification of the shooter or not doesn’t seem apparent in the coverage. The style of the attack links it to similar attacks on French soldiers which occured as the soldiers accessed an automated teller. Clearly they use cameras as our banks do for similar reasons so I’m sure there is footage from that attack.

It is not so unreasonabllle, though, to think that the attacker could wear a full-face visor, tinted with a motorcycle helmet. His getaway vehicle in both cases was a motorbike of some sort. It is not out of style in March in France for someone to be clad in a bulky jacket wearing a full-face visor with a tint. You would be hard pressed to tell the gender of such an attacker, let alone their ethnicity.

While the choice of target would make this antisemitism I am not willing to conclude anything about an attacker without more evidence on the table. I don’t work for the New York Times so I can’t immediately leap to the conclusions they did after Loughner went on his insanity induced shooting spree.

Whether there is some visible identification of the shooter or not doesn’t seem apparent in the coverage”

From the report in Germany’s Spiegel there is a women who claims to have seen his face. There’s a tattoo or scar on his left cheek.

The shooter was wearing all black with a black helmet and tinted visor. The witness claims to have seen through the visor.

The report says it is the same guy who killed the paratroopers. They were of North African descent. One of the wounded is black, they didn’t say about the others.

The report calls him a calm, cold blooded killer. The other day he got on to the trail of the first victim through an intetrnet ad. Today he shot the teacher with a 9 mm pistol than got off the scooter at fired at will into the crowd with a bigger weapon. The weapons and the scooter are the same from the other killings.

The assumed motives thus far that were mentioned were a nut, an Afghan returnee with PTSD or a the revenge act of a man protesting the events after the Algerian war. The 50th anniversary of the peace agreement was last week.

There are pictures and video at the Spiegel link.

A connection with the Algerian War would make sense. Most Jews in France are North African immigrants.

The latest I saw seemed to indicate a neo-Nazi connection. Could be misdirection, could be accurate. I’m sitting in Texas and I can’t say what is going to be the story two days, two weeks or two months from now.

I do know that in the hours following a lot of traumatic events there are conflicting stories posted by different news outlets.

As I said, I don’t work for the New York Times. I can’t know immediately, without any facts, who is to blame for the crime. I’m willing to wait for more facts and trust that the French will do their best to nail whoever it is.

My first thought was that the three attacks (against the Jewish rabbi and children, the soldiers who were black Africans, and some French police) were committed by an Islamist. But it seems they have a witness who saw a tattoo on his cheek (face). Now there is talk of a neo-Nazi perpetrator.

There is no difference in the two, really. Same hate. Same targets. Birds of a feather.

Islam and Nazism have been aligned since WWII when Haj Amin al-Husseini of Jerusalem collaborated with Hitler in targeting and exterminating Jews and Christians world-wide.

The present Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, the mufti of Jerusalem uttered the same goals in January 2012. http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/id.11303/pub_detail.asp

Hatred and Murder of Jews, Christians and any non-muslim is written in the Koran as well as the official charter of Hamas.

Islam and Nazi fascism align perfectly in inhumanity, brutality, racial hatred, aggression, misogyny, perversion – they are a match made in hell.

In 1939, the joke in France was “Q: What’s the one thing wrong with Hitler? A: He’s not French”. Lots of Frenchmen knew what Hitler was all about, and they agreed with it. Anti-semitism is nothing new in France.

Tolouse is well-known for rioting by Muslims, including car burnings,

attacks on synagogues, and, well, both.

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3651343,00.html

In instances like these, there are always a host of political issues that rise to the fore — guns, cultural identity, national security.

It’s inevitable for politics to get intertwined, I know. But I wish, if these awful events are to happen, that we could all mourn for a day or two with the very real individuals whose lives are shattered, and then get to the other stuff.

It’s heartbreaking. Kids. Prayers for the families and loved ones….

Sounds like the French are all Ron Paul supporters.

I is wise to bear in mind the lesson of the Norwegian mass murder just months ago.

There are a lot of twisted people in the world, and many of them are quite willing to use terror.

French investigators have linked the attacks on the paratroopers last week with the Jewish school today. Both motorcycle and the weapon were used in all the attacks. However, the paratroopers were not Jews; they were Moroccans and Muslims. Someone or some group maybe trying to start an armed ethnic conflict. Those same French cops are looking at Neo-Nazi groups.

This is the on going fight of good against evil, as their extreme intolerace is translated into violent acts of murder, which they perpetrate on any and all innocent Jewish people. No amount of sanctified acts of violence and evil, must ever be allowed to go unanswered, or we will surely see another Holocaust in pour lifetime. This above all else we, the good people of Humanity, must never be allowed to happen again, for if we fail to answer back against evil itself, then we will surely as guilty as those who perpetrate it.

There is only one way to deal with evil, hatred, intolerance, and violence, and that is to defeat it, period.
