I think there is a misspelling in this bumper sticker. Shouldn’t it be “Obamanomas”?
Thanks to reader Ted, who writes:
Saw this one this past June while on vacation. The truck was parked in a parking lot in a little organic foods store outside of Santa Fe. Which reminds me – I need to go online and order some Pozole ingredients. But I digress….. Enjoy.

No, in Spanish “Vamanos!” (sorry, I don’t have the Spanish upside down exclamation point in front….my settings are English) means “Get the h*ll out!” (Or it could translate to something stronger, depends on who you ask.) 😀
Encouraging that there are Hispanics who want Obama to get the h*ll out! 😉
No. “Vamanos” means, “Let’s get going.” This definitely could be taken as pro-Obama. I like the ObamaNoMas, but that could be taken as threatening (and, of course, racist).
“Obamadios” is the proper pronunciation of Obamanos.
These bumper stickers are extremely common in Santa Fe and vicinity.
In 2008, you couldn’t throw a rock without hitting a car with an Obamanos sticker in Santa Fe or Taos.
These are pro-Obama stickers, guys. The chick that makes them also does the “Si se puede” crap and belongs to Latinos Unidos for Obama.
I thought it was “Obamandias”
Obamanos-We Are Obama!
Strange.
““Obamadios” is the proper pronunciation of Obamanos.”
Actually, that’s too easy to confuse with “Obama Dios” … *shudder*
