So working "within the party" was a crock. These guys should at least have the honesty to switch to the Democratic party. It is only party power the elites can protect, not the party itself. If they insist that we accept a subservient position on the GOP Titanic, we can take the power with us. They will have given us no other choice but start a new party.
It's silly to rail at the "party power elites." Every element of the DC GOP and the Alaska GOP and the pro-GOP media and punditry have been and continue to be doing everything possible to keep Murkowski from running and to punish her if she does. Individuals politicians with enough ego and money do what they want anyway.
Socialist 'Republicans,' the lot. Let them eat cookie dough and find a new party home …as if they could wind a DEM primary. See that's the problem with double agents… no one ever really trusts them.
You should also mention John McCain suddenly switching right back over to the amnesty thing now that he has won his primary – a complete flipflop from 'build the darn fence'.
And Arlen Specter who we were assured was a good idea. Nothing else needs to be said there.
Something else I noticed today, we are not called "teabaggers" anymore. And we are not racists either. Suddenly, all of the politicians and most pundits are acknowledging that we have valid grievances and are largely correct.
The only ones calling us teabaggers now are a few fringe media types (MSNBC mostly) and RINOs. Anyone want to bet against the last one to use that term being a Republican?
One of these things is not like the other…one of these things didn't bolt the party after losing…can you tell which thing is not like the other by the time you finish this comment?
The Dorothy Thompson game "Who goes Nazi?" comes to mind. Imagine yourself at a Republican party sizing up people like Dorothy did 70 years ago, asking yourself "Who goes Democrat?" Her last paragraphs pretty much sums it up.

I've been s-o-o-o-o there for years now.

My perdiction: If we lose Delaware, it will be by a small margin. Only if we lose it huge will it have been worth the "safe" option of Mike Castle.
If we lose it small it'll send a message worth sending: Run true Conservative candidates and take the time the freakin' vet them.

Want to feel good? Go look at O'Donnell's fundraising numbers at her website. Unbelievable.

@Mason: Last I checked, he hasn't conceded yet either.
If Castle & Murkowski had won, I would have supported voting for them for the sake of the senate committees.
When the purpose of power and status is power and status then there is no purpose. I feel bad for both of them, how empty their lives must be?
It would be unfair to leave out Arlen Specter.
