In response to my post, Harry Reid’s Iraq Failure, reader A.W. alerted me to a story which should define the Harry Reid-Sharron Angle race.
If you want a good idea at how upset people are with Harry Reid, take a look at the story in The Las Vegas Review-Journal about a former Harry Reid supporter whose dying wish is that voters vote Reid out of office (emphasis mine):
Election 2010 has just heard from a member of the Silent Majority.
You know, from a deceased person….
And she was at one time a loyal supporter of Harry Reid.
Her obituary, printed in Tuesday’s Review-Journal, reads in part, “We believe that Mom would say she was mortified to have taken a large role in the election of Harry Reid to U.S. Congress. Let the record show Charlotte was displeased with his work. Please, in lieu of flowers, vote for another more worthy candidate.”
Ouch.
Indeed. Expect the Reid attack machine to call Mrs. McCourt an “extremist” “teabagger” who is “crazy” and “outside the mainstream” and “unhinged” and potentially “violent” and “racist” and …..
But no, attacking the dead is so gauche. The children and grandchildren, however, better watch out.
Update: It appears that Mrs. McCourt was more than just a Reid supporter in the past. According to one of the comments to the LVRJ story:
Charlotte McCourt was a force of nature she stood for all things that were right and just, she was not just a strong supporter of Harry Reid she was his manager when he first started to run for the U.S. Senate, she help him win.But she was very unhappy with him and the fact that he has forgotten the people of Nevada and who his employer’s really are.
