The Transparency President Now Feels Your Pain

The Transparency President Now Feels Your Pain

The transparency President is now the President who feels your pain.

According to the NY Times, in the State of the Union address Obama will unveil some highly targeted tax credits aimed at families, and some caps on student loan repayments:

By focusing on what one White House official calls “the sandwich generation” — struggling families squeezed between sending their children to college and caring for elderly parents — Mr. Obama hopes to use his speech on Wednesday to demonstrate that he understands the economic pain of ordinary Americans. The proposals also include expanded tax credits for retirement savings and money for programs to help families care for elderly relatives.

These don’t sound like the sort of tax cuts which will get the economy moving. Individually some of these credits and caps may be appealing, but they will do nothing to create private sector job growth.

People need private sector jobs more than anything, and this President appears to remain clueless. At least that much is clear.

I wish Obama would define "ordinary Americans" and "middle class." Because based on his policies, he seems to have very little concern for the plight of actual middle class families.

From reading about his new proposals, the only thing that interests me is his proposal to limit student loan repayments. Other than that, I don't see how anything else that he will propose will actually help the "middle class."

I would point out that the 2 primary ideas floated for the SOTU are already on the tax books. Many retirement plans have elders care set aside provisions. And over 55 accelerated deposits to retirements already exist as well. So what exactly is he proposing 'new'?

Remember how B.Clinton wanted to re-define the meaning of "is" is: what is Obummers definition of "pain"?

I suggest the 'pain' is really just hangovers – since there is a party at the W.House every 3 days. (That is what taxpayer money is for, right, parties?)

Valid guess as any, don't you think…?

There's an old Italian saying, "The fish stinks from the head." Is that Barakala I smell?

Somebody tell B.O. that the money I've worked so hard for is already rightfully mine.

'TAX CREDIT' is an oxymoron. That's as laudable as the school yard bully saying, "Be grateful I'm only taking this much of your lunch money".

Who is B.O. and conceited Congressional Dems trying to impress with their patronizing and condescending tax-credit pittance (did I mention it's already our money) as they continue to ransack the economy and pillage our personal income?

We need to get this through our heads:

The Obamacrats don't WANT the economy to improve.

I don't want a president who feels my pain or who spends billions (of OUR money) giving us "credits" and telling us how to spend what little money we can still call our own. The last thing this country needs is to give more hand-outs to people, even the . . . no, scrap that . . . *especially* the middle class.

Here's an idea, how about cutting our taxes and letting us decide what to do with our money? Seriously, where does anyone think this "credit" money comes from? The subsidies for people who are caring for their infirm relatives? The "me time" for people who are stressed out caring for their elderly or ill relatives? The $500 government "match" for retirement savings (wth?!)? It's not coming from a magic money tree, that's going to be coming out of our pockets, likely in a VAT tax. So we get to pay and pay and pay, for what? It's absolutely ridiculous. I'm fuming mad about this "middle class commission" crap and its crazy backwards logic. Yeah, sure tax the crap out of all of us so we can finance other people's education and other people's retirement? How is that helpful to anyone, and I mean anyone at all? It's like loaning yourself $20 and then charging yourself AND your neighbors for the loan. *V-8 forehead thwack*

"People need private sector jobs more than anything, and this President appears to remain clueless"
My hope is that he is clueless. I'm growing more convinced every day he is destroying our country on purpose. Why?

I'm with Herb. Now that BO has made pretty clear, in the wake of the Brown victory and via his minions and this "middle class" crap, I'm at about 95% convinced that he's purposely and purposefully trying to destroy our country. I don't care why. I want to know how we stop him before it's too late. Protesting didn't work, voting didn't work (yet, we still have November, though!), what will?
