"Defendant contends that the Constitution grants him “absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions performed within the ‘outer perimeter’ of his official responsibility” while he served as President of the United States, so long as he was not both impeached and convicted for those actions.... No court—or any other branch of government—has ever accepted it. And this court will not so hold."

The motion itself highlights several areas on which Trump could lose the motion, but they are issues of law not fact. Which makes them ripe for an appeal if (and likely when) the District Court Judge denies the motion. This is going to end up at SCOTUS, and that's about as far a prediction as I'm willing to make at this point.

Judge finds "no standing" to sue. Are the attempts to get judicial decisions keeping Trump off the ballot over? Of course not, but this is another sign that such attempts are likely to be unsuccessful. Hence the urging for state and local election officials to go rogue on their own, which of course then would be the subject of more lawsuits.

My appearance on the Tony Katz show on July 21, 2023, calling for formation of an impeachment committee in the House: "this is potentially the biggest scandal, dwarfing Watergate by far. Certainly dwarfing the inaccurate Russia collusion allegations, which were never proven. So this is massive.... We better get to the bottom of it. We can't allow the media and the FBI to squash this thing, just like they did in 2020."

Team Biden may not have known of the "raid" in advance, but their fingerprints are all over this. John Solomon: "the Biden White House worked directly with the Justice Department and National Archives to instigate the criminal probe into alleged mishandling of documents, allowing the FBI to review evidence retrieved from Mar-a-Lago this spring and eliminating the 45th president's claims to executive privilege."
