NJ Gov. Sherrill Under Fire After Illegal Alien Injures Democrat Mayor’s Wife

New Jersey Democratic Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s anti-ICE policies after an illegal alien crashed on a highway, injuring a Democrat mayor’s wife.
The illegal alien fled during a targeted ICE operation. The person zoomed onto U.S. 130, where they crashed into a Tesla after running a stoplight.
Dr. Penelope Cohen, the wife of East Brunswick Mayor Brad Cohen, was in the Tesla. Doctors treated her at the hospital.
Republicans are furious at Sherrill, who has limited cooperation with local and federal law enforcement. From Fox News:
The Wednesday crash is fueling a renewed fight over New Jersey’s limits on cooperation between local police and federal immigration authorities. Republicans are arguing Sherrill’s approval of the “Trust Directive” creates public-safety risks by limiting the ability of ICE to work with police officers. They also contend that Democrats are wrongheaded to respond to such incidents by calling for ICE’s abolition rather than stronger enforcement.
“This is just the latest in a long line of traffic incidents and vehicular incidents that wouldn’t occur if New Jersey didn’t have our sanctuary status that got codified as soon as Gov. Sherrill came into office,” Assemblyman Paul Kanitra, R-Point Pleasant Beach, told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview Friday.

State Republican Sen. Mike Testa also blasted New Jersey Democrat Rep. Bonnie Watson-Coleman, who wants the government to abolish ICE:
“I think it has only emboldened illegal aliens to engage in illegal behavior,” Testa said. “This illegal alien was stopped lawfully by federal authorities, ran through a red light, fleeing federal authorities and unfortunately ran into the mayor of East Brunswick’s wife.
“This is just another example of lawlessness,” he continued. “And sadly, there’s been a stamp of approval from radical leftists like Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman saying ICE should be abolished rather than actually punishing the criminal that put multiple citizens’ lives at risk.”
In January, Sherrill launched a portal to track ICE agents, allowing people to upload videos and alert people.
Sherrill also issued Executive Order 12, which limits cooperation between ICE and local law enforcement and expands sanctuary status.
The Executive Order allows arrests only in public areas if “authorized by a judicial warrant or judicial order.”
The DOJ sued New Jersey over the executive order.
The DOJ says the Executive Order obstructs the federal government from performing lawful operations:
The New Jersey Executive Order obstructs such operations in at least three ways. First, the New Jersey Executive Order prohibits federal immigration agents from accessing non-public areas at all. Second, the New Jersey Executive Order prohibits any court security staff that are members of “Executive Branch departments and agencies,” from cooperating with federal immigration agents for the purpose of civil immigration enforcement. Third, even as to entering and exiting the building, federal immigration agents are restricted from accessing non-public entrances and exits. There is no indication on the face of the New Jersey Executive Order that officials working for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, and Firearms, or the Federal Bureau of Investigations are subjected to similar regulation and discrimination.
A judge tossed the lawsuit a few days ago.

I struggle with this. I don’t wish the “consequences” on anyone. This woman is not the policy maker. Neither are their kids.
God will not be just in who bears the consequences of the suicidal empathy. It’s not that it “NEEDS” to happen, but it’s going to happen. Lot bargained with God and lost, so will everyone in the blast zone.
I struggle only because the harms these evil people commit so seldom affect them directly.

This sounds dangerously close to obstruction of justice to me. If I were the U.S. Attorney I’d test this theory out to see if it were the case. If nothing else, the process is the punishment.

In the near future democrat Brad Cohen will announce it was okay for the undocumented migrant to injure his wife because he’s undocumented and deserves his support. Besides his wife too is down for the struggle and they always wanted to get rid of that nasty Tesla and now they can. He only wishes that the migrant had been an undocumented muslim.

Close the sea and airports. Establish traffic control points inside the 100 mile border zone. Refuse all Federal LEO cooperation to include database access and armed access to Federal property/installations including Courts to all NJ LEO. Bar all NJ officers/officials from same list of the sorts of places NJ has barred ICE. No SSA or USPS office access for NJ officials/officers under same terms applied to ICE so if ICE is ‘prevented’ from performance of duties same applies to NJ officials in Federal offices.
This will be ignored until it goes away.
If only we could arrange the world so that ALL the victims of crimes by illegal aliens, and injuries/deaths by illegal driving trucks, were sanctuary-promoting democrats.

When it comes to survival of the colony, of maintaining collective power, dem/leftists are much like ants. They will throw as many as it takes into battle to preserve their overall survival and that collective power. To them, in the big picture, the health, safety and even life of a democrat mayor’s wife is an extremely small price to pay in order to keep illegal aliens in this country. Preserving the continued attraction of more illegal aliens to the U.S. goes hand in hand with protecting those already here. Illegal aliens = dem votes. This means dem/leftists can’t and won’t punish illegals in any way if they can avoid doing so, which is one of the reasons why sanctuary policies exist. The tell here will be whether the democrat mayor, the wife herself, the democrat governor or any other democrat suddenly changes course on illegal immigration and illegal aliens. Further, Congress has used the Interstate Commerce clause to subsume jurisdiction over all sorts of things. It’s high time for a reckoning.
