‘Louisiana Man’ Accused of Taking Part in Oct. 7 Attack Joked About Massacre, Mocked Victims on Phone
“If things go the way they should, Syria will take part, Lebanon will take part, and it’s going to be a third world war.”
A Gaza terrorist who fled to the U.S. after the October 7 attack mocked his victims and joked about the bloodbath on the phone, transcripts released by federal prosecutors show. Mahmoud Amin Ya’qub al-Muhtadi, accused of committing acts of terror on October 7, 2023, was arrested last year at his home in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Al-Muhtadi was heard calling the massacre of innocent Israeli men, women, and children a “celebration.” He referred to kidnapping as a “game” and rejoiced that he caught Israeli defenders off guard in the wake of Jewish festivities. Reveling in death and carnage, he hoped that “If things go the way they should, Syria will take part, Lebanon will take part, and it’s going to be a third world war.”
Al-Muhtadi, an operative of the Gaza-based Martyr Umar al-Qasim Forces terrorist group, organized and led a terrorist unit to join the Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023. According to the Justice Department, the 33-year-old terrorist “learned about the Hamas invasion, armed himself, gathered others, and crossed into Israel with the intention of assisting in Hamas’s terrorist attack.”
Widely reported in the media as the “Louisiana man,” the suspected terrorist entered the U.S. in 2024, making false claims in his visa application. “A year after the attack, Mr al-Muhtadi allegedly travelled to the US on a fraudulent visa and became a permanent resident,” the BBC observed. More than 1,200 people were murdered in the terror attack, including 46 U.S. citizens. Out of 251 hostages taken on that day, 12 were Americans.
He was well aware of the consequences of his actions and even hoped for a harsh Israeli response. “From now till the afternoon, half of Gaza will be lost,” he said.
The Times of Israel published excerpts from the disturbing phone calls made on October 7, 2023:
Gaza terrorists joked about the October 2023 invasion of Israel as the attack was taking place, according to contemporaneous phone calls released in a US federal investigation on Tuesday that gave an inside view of terrorists’ immediate reaction to the Hamas attack and their preparations to join the invasion.
The call logs were released in the case against Mahmoud Amin Ya’qub al-Muhtadi, who allegedly assembled a team of armed terrorists and crossed into Israel to join the attack, and later lied on his visa application to enter the US. He was arrested in Louisiana last year. (…)
As part of the federal probe into Al-Muhtadi, investigators released transcripts of phone calls he made while preparing to join the attack. The calls were intercepted, recorded and translated from Arabic into English. Prosecutors had previously released fragments of the conversations in court filings.
On the calls, Al-Muhtadi and his team are heard scrambling to join the Hamas attack by sharing information about the invasion, coordinating transportation and assembling weaponry.
At 8:12 a.m., Al-Muhtadi told an associate on a phone call to “get ready,” that the “borders are open,” and that other individuals were passing by in a Toyota pickup truck, apparently to join the invasion.
Thirty minutes later, still in Gaza, Al-Muhtadi and another individual celebrated and joked as they exchanged information about the attack.
Both hailed the invasion, saying, “Our guys are celebrating inside [Israel],” and that Palestinians were celebrating in Gaza.
The transcript indicated the pair repeatedly laughed during the call, including about the expected destruction of Gaza.
“From now till the afternoon, half of Gaza will be lost. There will be nothing left except my kiosk,” Al-Muhtadi said.
His associate said, “The Jews are still in shock.” Al-Muhtadi responded, “They are still drunk, because it’s the last day of their Eid,” using an Arabic term to apparently refer to Simhat Torah, the Jewish holiday on which the attack took place.
The pair already knew that Israelis had been taken hostage. Al-Muhtadi said, “There is kidnapping, and it’s a game, which will be a good one.” He said he expected a hostage deal to lead to a ceasefire.
“If things go the way they should, Syria will take part, Lebanon will take part, and it’s going to be a third world war,” he said. “This war will last two months, a month, or it will be a war of attrition.”
They also joked about Palestinians who worked in Israel, saying, “No other workers will enter Israel, and Gaza will be set back about fifty years.”
“The guys are calling, I swear by God. They want to go inside,” Al-Muhtadi said.
Other call logs showed the banality of the preparations, as the terrorists discussed getting coffee, lacking space in a car used to invade Israel, searching for a “welding machine,” and whether they should close their stores. One of the terrorists on a call said he would meet the others inside Israel without any weapons because he couldn’t find any.
By 9:33 a.m., Al-Muhtadi said on a call, “I went inside,” while laughing and telling two other terrorists, “Come in, boys.”
Al-Muhtadi told his associates to turn off their phones on that call. Investigators later found that his phone had linked to a tower in Israel, near Kfar Aza, at around 10 a.m., indicating he had crossed the border.
It's been clear to those of us watching Gaza that the IDF/ISA are running a targeted campaign to track down 10/7 perpetrators.
I've identified 10/7 attackers and I know some are alive and well in Gaza. It's possible some terrorists have fled abroad, like Mahmoud al-Muhtadi, who… pic.twitter.com/V7c9Y46Q18

IDF eliminates senior Hamas commanders in recent strikes
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) kept up its counter-terrorism operations in Gaza, targeting senior Hamas terror commanders.
On Monday, the military eliminated Nael Abu Obeid, commander of Hamas’s southern Gaza-based Rafah Brigade. The Jerusalem Post described Obeid as “a key figure among Hamas leaders.”
The IDF, in a press release, said that “Abu Obeid was responsible for managing the activities of the brigade’s terrorists and directing them to advance and carry out terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.” He was working on the Rafah “brigade’s force buildup, which suffered severe damage throughout the war,” the IDF added.
The strike comes as the Israeli military took out several Gaza terrorists in recent strikes. “The IDF struck the commander of Hamas’ Rafah Brigade, after earlier this week the commander of the Khan Younis Brigade and other senior figures in the organization were eliminated,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged in his statement.
An Israeli strike on Tuesday killed Hamas commander Rafat Abu Zamar, who trained terrorists for the October 7 attack. “The terrorist advanced and led training for operatives in Hamas ahead of the October 7th Massacre, and more recently continued to train operatives and develop Hamas’ combat capabilities,” the military disclosed.

Try him for being a terrorist. Sentence him to the appropriate end. Hang him.
No crowing or gloating on Truth Social, no grand trolling. Just DO IT. A single sentence in a press release or statement at a press conference: “We took care of that terrorist son-of-a-b***h.”
Then go look for the next one.
Try him, sentence him, go through years of appeals, appease the wacko .Muslims here already in my country, some writing laws in my country, or
…”shot while escaping”.
Tough choice.
The USA can’t try him for being a terrorist. He didn’t commit those crimes here. All the USA has on him is his fraudulent visa application. And if any of his victims were US citizens they can sue him. But I’m sure Israel will ask for extradition, and he can be tried there.
Meh, try him as a modern analogue to piracy; hostis humani generis. Past time for the USA to incorporate terrorists, hijackers, torturers, narcoterrorist traffickers, human traffickers and slavers as = to ‘pirates’.
He took part in the the October 7th attack, and attack which included Americans.
That’s all the justification we should need for trying him as a terrorist.
The attack resulted in the deaths of American citizens. At least four American citizens were killed in the exact area where federal investigators place Al-Muhtadi—therefore the U.S. has a direct statutory right to prosecute. And they will.
Actually it appears that he’s been charged with providing material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, i.e. Hamas, which is a crime that doesn’t depend on there even being a victim, and that support resulted in someone’s death, which makes it a more severe charge no matter who the victim was. So I was mistaken about the charges and he is indeed being charged, not directly for the crimes themselves, but for them having been done in support of Hamas.
First time for everything. Milhouse admits to being wrong.
“The USA can’t try him for being a terrorist.”

I dream of things that never were, and say why not?”

Wow, I have quite a few men from Louisiana, and not ONE of them is in the habit of wearing a table cloth on his head. Seriously, get these people the f*ck out of our country NOW. All of them.
As a Louisianian, he certainly fucked up. We don’t have ANY enclaves for that type of person here, especially Lafayette. He’d have been better off in Michigan or something.
Are crawfish halal? His soul may already be damned.
It depends on the madhab. Hanafi fiqh forbids most or all shellfish; the other three major madhabs permit it.

Palestinians have an average IQ of 67 (disputed) which means that they notice that Jews are doing better than they are, and figure that it must be that Jews are stealing stuff from them. That’s the same dynamic that keeps US blacks resentful (86 average) which in turn keeps them from acting white and doing better.
Same dynamic everywhere.
Asians are immune (average IQ 105) even though they’re actively discriminated against by institutions. They act white regardless.
Why do you keep referring to “Palestinians “? No such country exists or ever was. At the time Israel acquired Gaza it was Egyptian territory and the population was mostly with some other Arab nationalities who were displace when the arabs invaded Israel in 1948 and were defeated. Even after the UK and France armed the Arabs and the USA set an arms embargo on Israel. Now those same arab nations refuse to repatriate their own citizens. And again France and UK are joining the arabs in attacking Israel. The next point is how did this terrorist obtain a visa and gain LPR status so quickly. Why do we give visas to people in Gaza, a land mass containing mostly terrorists and anti Americans?
How deep do the Feds need to “probe” on this guy? That he is still walking the face of earth is absurd. He should be 6 feel under by now.
6 feet.
They want all the content can squeeze out of him
Who exactly should carry that out? The US can’t do it. And Israel can’t do it on US soil, not without really upsetting the USA. And if he’s extradited to Israel they can’t kill him either, because he’ll already be in custody and the prosecutors and judiciary have already made it clear that they will refuse to seek or grant capital punishment regardless of the law or the government’s policy.
Good grief. Leave it at that.

Huh? What are you talking about? When have I ever referred to “Palestinians” without the scare quotes?
But for the record there was a country called Palestine, which existed from approximately 1918 to 1948. It was the British Mandate for Palestine. And generally Palestine has been the English term for the Holy Land since at least the 19th century.
Also, the Gaza Strip was never Egyptian territory. It was occupied by Egypt, but no one, including Egypt, recognized it as Egyptian territory. That’s why when Israel tried to give it back to Egypt at Camp David, Egypt refused.

Double comment. See reply above.
Probe?
All the way to the back of his teeth.
“the 33-year-old terrorist “learned about the Hamas invasion, armed himself, gathered others, and crossed into Israel with the intention of assisting in Hamas’s terrorist attack.”
So once again, with all
Of the Israel’s sophisticated spy systems, literally making bombs out of pagers, spy’s embedded in all kind of high places in Muslim land
They didn’t have a clue about this prior and it took 7 hours to respond
I can’t wrap my
Head around this
This guy didn’t know about it in advance either. He heard about it on the news and rushed to join in. By that time of course the Israelis knew about it too.
You can’t tell me otherwise tales 7 hours to fly or dive to the area.
Israel is a tiny country
This does not pass the smell test
So… like David Hogg?
No, Hogg was there (not in the same building but close enough that he was in genuine shelter), went home to get his camera, and came back to make his propaganda.
>A year after the attack, Mr al-Muhtadi allegedly travelled to the US on a fraudulent visa and became a permanent resident
I want to learn more about how this was allowed to occur.
As it says, it was fraudulent. How were we supposed to know? Eventually we found out.
How were we suppose to know?
We have the means to know, we don’t have the will
What means would those be? Magic? Telepathy?
Records search?
What records? Which records would have shown this?
It’s time for the US to do “research” on every visa bearing individual coming into the country that has a name like Al Muftadhi or the like. Sounds dumb to Milhouse, but unless “dumb” extreme measures are taken (and there are ways to take such measures without a lot of trouble) the thugs from over there will continue to infiltrate the country. We do not want these people in our midst. Period.
There were no records that could have been discovered at the time that would have exposed this guy. In all likelihood the only way we know about it now is that Israeli intel told us.
The fact is we are long overdue to prohibit ANY immigration from the shitholes in that part of the world.
The Democrats claimed during Trump’s first term that he tried to institute a “Muslim ban”. The claim of a “Muslim ban” was an outright lie . . . but it probably would have been a good idea.
Except that an actual ban on non-citizen and non-resident Moslems entering the country would be illegal. Not unconstitutional, just illegal. Congress can change the law, but it hasn’t. The current law that authorizes the president to exclude people specifically forbids him from doing so on the basis of race or religion.
One must obtain a visa through the respective USA consulate or embassy. There is none in Gaza. The embassy then in theory does a background investigation of the visa applicant.
There doesn’t need to be a consulate in the Gaza strip. Presumably he applied at the embassy in Jerusalem, or at the one in Cairo, Amman, or some other place.
And there were no records that the embassy could have found that would have disclosed this information. It comes from Israeli intel eavesdropping on his telephone conversations. The Israelis must have informed the USA last year, after he was already here.
I am hoping to joke about him and mock him following his execution.
Unfortunately there won’t be an execution. Neither the USA nor Israel can execute him. The only way he gets his just deserts is to be extradited to Israel and then escape, whereupon the IDF can target him.
Yes we can. He is a cancer, and that is all the justification we need.
Sometimes, we need to sidestep the technical restrictions of our laws and simply do what is right.
Eliminating cancer is the right thing to do.
The government breaking the law is always wrong. No matter what the circumstances. The law is the only constraint on the government, the only thing that distinguishes it from a tyranny.
Not if the law itself is wrong.
Even if the law is wrong, the government’s entire legitimacy derives from the law, so the government can never be allowed to violate it, or to do something that the law doesn’t authorize. The moment it does so it has no authority to do anything, or even to exist.
Obviously a friend of El Sayed in Michigan. The socialists, communists and Muslims who profess their undying commitment to destroy and remake America need to sent back from whence they came. And if citizens by birth then charge them with attempting to overthrow the government. Build regional large prisons like CECOT and house them until they can be tried and sentenced. Enough of this crap. And if anyone thinks they won’t try this in the USA I have some swamp land for sale in Florida.
None of them have attempted to overthrow the government. Expressing a desire to do so is protected speech so not only isn’t it a crime but Congress can’t even make it a crime.
In this case he hasn’t even expressed any desire to destroy America. His desire seems to be only to destroy Israel, and of course attempting to do that isn’t a crime in the USA.
Just stop, have your brain examined
Why don’t you just go jump in the lake. Or try reading the constitution, for the first time in your life.
Ooo! Stinging comeback!
Have you ever bothered to read the constitution? If you had you would know that expressing a desire to overthrow the government is protected speech.
Do the “Lousiana man” and the “Maryland father” hang out and committ acts of horrific violence together? The media makes them sounds like sweet innocent dues, reality begs to differ. I sincerely hope he is extridited to Israel and rots in a prison cell forever.
Which means until the next hostage deal.
Unfortunately you are correct, maybe they will learn from so many past mistakes? We can pray.
This turd needs to have an “accident”.
He does, but that’s not how we do things here.
Maybe not, but if he was to be arrested and waiting for extradition to Israel, and he escaped into the Louisiana bayou, well, you know, hungry crocs don’t leave much behind.
Justice served.
Lunch served.
The enemies of all mankind don’t deserve due process.
Caesar threatened to crucify the pirates that captured him. When he came back and captured them, he was merciful. He had them killed before they were nailed to their crosses.
The constitution says that neither the USA nor any state may deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Any person, no exceptions.
I had to turn my hearing aids down to temper the laughter coming from Langley and the Clinton Foundation HQ.
Maybe it is time we start doing things here.
Sounds like El-Sayed without the political filters….
El-Sayed, as far as we know, hasn’t killed anyone (yet).
He just likes to hang out with them
More like cheer from the bleachers. I’m not aware of any evidence that he is personally acquainted with any terrorists; he just admires them and roots for them and wishes he were friends with them.
Yeah, one would expect a sowbug under a rock to say something like that.
What, the obvious truth? Yeah, we already know that you don’t give a shit about the truth. What makes you better than El-Sayid?
Extradite him to Israel. Let them try and execute him.
Dip him in chicken blood and stake him out somewhere in the bayou.
They can’t execute him either. Even if the Knesset passes a law allowing it, no prosecutor or judge will implement it.
Killed while escaping.
Can’t happen unless he genuinely does escape. Any attempt in Israel to manufacture an “escape” will only result in those responsible going to prison. That’s what the Israeli legal system and JAG is like.
Leave a door ajar or have Mossad dress as Muslim terrorists and break him out.
Alternately just leak that he is an informer and the prison population will take care of him.
Where there is a will there is a way.
Again, the Israeli JAG and legal system would come down like a ton of bricks on any serviceman who did that, or who allowed it to happen on his watch.
Typical Democrat
