Bill Maher Rips 9/11 Revisionism and the Left’s Narrative of ‘Genocide’ in Gaza
“Gaza equals genocide is a lie, an easily provable lie”
Bill Maher delivered a great monologue on his show Friday night. He tore into the media and education for trying to rewrite the story of 9/11 and then used that to dovetail into the left’s false narrative of ‘genocide’ in Gaza.

Comedian Bill Maher spent the first night of Rosh Hashanah taking aim at Macklemore and other anti-Israel celebrities, arguing that calling the war in Gaza a genocide is fueling a global rise in antisemitism.
During Friday night’s episode of HBO’s “Real Time,” Maher first criticized members of the Democratic Party who have spoken out against Israel during the Israel-Hamas war.
“Because nowhere has this moral confusion become more obvious than in a place called Gaza,” Maher said. “A little strip of land that was not part of the original Israel, but they won in a war launched against them, but then gave back, gave back as a peace gesture — did they tell you that part on TikTok, kids?”
Maher then turned his attention to Macklemore — whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty — after the musician repeatedly made calls to “Free Palestine” while performing his anti-Israel song “Hind’s Hall” as an opening act for Ed Sheeran at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, earlier this month.
“I think Macklemore spoke for all clueless celebrities when he said, ‘I know enough to know this is a genocide,’” Maher continued. “Actually, you don’t know s—. It’s not. It’s not a genocide. It’s a counterattack in a war.”
“Gaza equals genocide is a lie, an easily provable lie,” Maher said. “And the fact that so many prominent Democrats go along with it is, to me, the party’s worst moment since they undid Reconstruction after the Civil War. Democrats are policing their candidates really hard on this issue. Say it — say it’s a genocide. Say it.”…
“If you’re one of the many people these days asking, ‘This explosion of antisemitism around the world that we see, where is it coming from?’” Maher said. “This. This is where it’s coming from. Because if you really think someone is committing genocide, of course you have full permission to hate them. And history shows, for whatever reason, when it comes to hating the Jews, people don’t need a lot of permission.”

It’s always surprising when someone on the left actually speaks truth to party. Maher does it on some issues and I welcome it just as I do when Fetterman speaks out,
Speak truth to party is fine but it is a waste of time. The Enemy never gives in.
Maher just wants to avoid the secondary use of that street light in front of his building. If/when the tide shifts, he will be 100% pure lefty in a second.
Maher has the same shortcoming as Fetterman — he talks a different way on some things, but it never changes how he acts or votes.
It’s no different than the revisionism on 9/11.

Once again, I’ll say on here as I do; I’ve always liked Bill Maher. He’s always been very clear and brave when it come to Israel and understanding radical Islam. His burkah fashion show episode is legendary. If you hate his politics so be it. There’s nothing wrong with that. But its stupid to deny that the guy is funny and one of the few comedians, who actually is funny, and not just pandering to popular biases and trends. As far as the supposed Mackelmore moron, he’s been anti-Jew sisce his early days, dressing in “Jew face” complete with a giant rubber nose on stage for his crappy hit about being a cheapskate. His conversion to full on antisemitic conspiracy dude is hardly surprising. His music sucks and he wasn’t popular anymore, isnce he’s a boring talentless white dude. So he latched onto something to make himself seem edgy and interesting again without having any real consequences, as people love to hate Jews. He’s a dumb hack whose been trying to sound like a “serious,” musician for years. Now he’s found his way like so many grifters before him. Free palestine to this asshole just means lining his pockets.

One wonders how much longer it’s going to take “intellectual” Maher to make the obvious leap: “If my ‘friends’ are all lying about this, what else are they lying about?”
“Is Israel committing genocide in Gaza”. This is not the ranting of a nut but a litmus test for Democrats running in primaries in 2026.
Let’s be clear. Israel was brutally attacked on 10/7/2023. Three thousand Hamas and Hamas adjacent Palestinian neighbors crossed the border and raped and mutilated innocent women; babies were burned to death in ovens; 250 Israelis were dragged into Gaza to be abused and held as hostages; thousands of rockets were launched at Israel from Lebanon, Gaza, Syria Yemen, Iraq and even Iran; weapons used to attack Israel were stored in hospitals, schools, mosques and UN facilities; civilians in Gaza were cynically used as human shields while Hamas fighters hid in the hundreds of miles of underground tunnels that were built with the concrete that was supposed to go for the construction of schools and other civilian purposes.
Israel was forced to fight a war in which they were required to inform their enemy exactly where they were going to attack so as to allow civilians the chance to find safety. Then in spite of the overwhelming Palestinian support for Hamas barbarity toward Jews, Israel was assigned the task of providing for the survival of the civilians trapped in a war that Israel did not start and would have desperately wished to avoid.
I attended a meet and greet for a Democrat candidate for congress in Nevada CD 2. She was confronted by an angry constituent with the question “Is Israel committing genocide in Gaza, yes or no?
The woman who is now the Democratic Party candidate for CD 2 did not give an answer when the clear answer is NO. Her Republican opponent Dave Flippa served four deployments as a fighter pilot in Iraq. Voting for him is for me a no brainer.
It comes down to this. Would rather hear Maher say this than show support for the El Sayed’s running for office. Check plus for this.
I guess I’m a centrist, I loved his monologue and I’m glad to see someone who’s called himself a Democrat speaking out.
Both Maher and Fetterman have a certain amount of skin in the antisemitism game.
Maher is Jewish by birth; had he lived under the Third Reich’s rule they would stuffed him in an oven.
Fetterman is not, and of course the Germans didn’t think that everyone with a German name is a Jew. But the next time around it (probably) won’t be the Germans doing it, and the ones who will be doing it will (probably) go after anyone with a German name, including him.
