AOC Cornell Event Hosted by DSA Begins With ‘From the River to the Sea’ Chant

AOC’s campaign described the event as “part of an effort by the Congresswoman to boost turnout in Democratic strongholds ahead of the November election.”

The Cornell University Young Democratic Socialists of America kicked off an event for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) by singing “from the river to the sea.”

Of course, they chose the notorious anti-Israel slogan. From Fox News:

The Cornell University Young Democratic Socialists of America hosted the event for AOC, which her campaign labeled as a “Students vs. Billionaires” town hall. The group’s president, Mina Petrova, and co-Chair Zoe Reisman led the crowd of roughly 2,000 people in chanting “from the river to the sea,” after declaring, “long live the student intifada.”

“Cornell is fundamentally a capitalist institution that prioritizes billionaires and profit over students and community and is controlled by CEO trustees that are profiting off of genocide and war,” Petrova told the crowd at one point, triggering applause.

Then…then why do these students attend Cornell if it is such an awful place??

AOC’s campaign described the event as “part of an effort by the Congresswoman to boost turnout in Democratic strongholds ahead of the November election.”

The congresswoman also did not apologize for the chants.

Instead, AOC accused Cornell of suppressing free speech:

“Whether it’s the issue about Palestine or many others. Whether it’s about people trying to fire those who are forming a union in their workplace, whether it’s people trying to speak up about a number of different issues, we have to respond to that first crackdown,” she said.

“When we come out in numbers, they cannot take us all,” she added.

A perfect university is one where you can say (profess) anything that you think is true.

The “from the river to the sea” chant is not a statement of fact, truthful or otherwise, but is instead a call for the elimination of the Jews in their rightful home of Israel.

It is, essentially, a call for violence, fueled by antisemitism and hatred. The Democrat Party has accepted this, and even embraced it.

Of course you get to say whatever you think is true too. Ideally that winds up a thesis/antithesis/synthesis and everybody is smarter. Ad hominem though is the usual result, a laying out of irreconcilable sides.

Try taking the Palestinian point of view but synthesize it with the Israeli point of view, which Israel seems mostly able to do but without arguing it. I.e. minimizing collateral damage while insisting on a right of self defense.

Why does Israel minimize collateral damage? That’s a way in to the Palestinian point of view that retains Israel’s.

The ‘Palestinians’ want to murder all Jews.

Jews don’t want to be murdered.

Are you pretending to be particularly dense? It is speech expressing sick antisemitic propaganda. But as speech, it is NOT a statement of truth my pathetic gaslighting friend. It is a cry for the destruction of the state of Israel with the necessary consequence being the ejection/murder of all jewish residents.

Have you ever heard the expression that when you are digging yourself into a deep hole to stop digging? You are correct to say we all have freedom of speech but not freedom from consequence. You just said it so wrong!

Perhaps, deep in the antisemitic recesses of his mind, he does appreciate that “from the river to the sea” is indefensible. Thus he now changes the topic to a weird characterization of Israeli military strategy.

A perfect university would allow passionate debate, free exchange of ideas and eliminate the hecklers veto …but with the caveat of speakers providing evidence and facts to support the premise of their arguments. Some rando sky screaming nonsense, gibberish and clinging to proven falsehoods as you suggest for the model University is better suited for the insane asylum.

Calling for mass murder would not be accepted from any other group.

Probably not. Its been said that we can tell what groups/tribes hold power when we observe which groups/tribes society puts off limits for criticism/humor. We should probably add to that which groups/tribes can get away with calling for mass murder (directly/indirectly) without suffering serious social/professional/political repercussions.

    Sarcasm bell not working apparently.

I thought it was only supposed to be a 2 minute hate.

These are morons. Whatever degree they end up with from Cornell won’t change that.

from the river to the sea the land will be arab (or muslim) free

works for me.

you know i used to be a bit towards the middle regarding this issue but like with so many issues the protestors tend to be so stupid and ignorant that I end up pushed to the conservative side out of disgust.

AOC is publicly identifying with the enemy. This is news to anybody?

Of course they did. Now interview the ignorant lemmings in the room, and have them tell us what they think the phrase means.

I believe it’s:FROM THE LIVER TO THE KNEE “

‘From the river to the sea’ isn’t very inclusive. In fact it seems very exclusionary especially so when paired with ‘by any means necessary’.

Unbelievable.

The Dhimmi-crats’ “long march through the institutions” has succeeded in turning tens of millions of former and current college students into unthinking, lemming-like, narcissistic, conformist, Islamo-Marxist morons who embrace Islamofascist “holy war” as a fashion statement — “jihad-chic.”

So the rallying cry for the Democrat presidential front runner is one that wishes all Jews dead. Yup, sounds about right as to where their party is in terms of this moment in time. The “anti-racist” BLM, BDS dumbocrat party fully embraces bigotry, historical revisionism, hatred, exclusion and violence. Just in case you didn’t guess I’m not planning on voting for her. I happen to like being alive.
