Happy 25th Anniversary to Professor Glenn Reynolds and the Instapundit Blog!

The Instapundit blog was launched in August of 2001 by Professor Glenn Reynolds of the University of Tennessee School of Law and is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Everyone here at Legal Insurrection would like to wish Glenn and the Instapundit team a happy anniversary.

For 25 years, Glenn Reynolds and the folks at Instapundit have had a remarkable influence on blogging, the news, the way stories are shaped and how much attention they receive.
There are many bloggers who can tell you the story of their first Instalanche.
For me, it came in the 2010s. I wrote a piece about the rise of the Tea Party and the resurgence of Libertarianism in the GOP, called “Barry Goldwater’s Revenge,” or something like that. When the piece got linked on Instapundit, it quickly racked up thousands of views. I was amazed at the level of traffic Glenn could drive to a post, and he still does it today.
The other amazing thing about Instapundit is the amount of amazing content that they create and link to on any given day.
All of this has earned Glenn Reynolds the nickname of ‘the Blogfather,’ and he truly deserves it.

It was closer to 30 years ago, while I was putting out a casual newsletter (read by dozens!) about Second Amendment issues, that one of my readers arranged for me to receive a copy of a Tennessee Law Review symposium on the amendment — with significant input from someone named “Glenn Harlan Reynolds.”
