Space Force Proves Its Worth as Trump’s Vision Pays Off During Epic Fury, Midnight Hammer

The Space Force that Democrats sneered at is now saving American lives and protecting our allies from hostile missile fire.

Back in 2019, I was excited to report that President Donald Trump had officially launched the “U.S. Space Force,” which would bring the nation’s military space capabilities under one organization.

However, many Democrats, progressives, and Trump-haters derided this development.

The idea was widely mocked when it was first floated, providing fodder for late night hosts, newspaper cartoonists and comedy writers. Senior military officials have previously raised concerns about what it will cost, and former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis warned against rushing into creating the force without clearly defined goals.

In fact, the Trump Derangement Syndrome was so great that Democrats (including the always detestable Rashida Tlaib and Maxine Waters) mounted an effort to abolish the newly created branch of the military.

But Democrats are always keen to abort things, so it was on brand. But, I digress.

Recent events have allowed Americans a chance to see the wisdom of having a military branch devoted to space operations. I would like to highlight a few successes.

In Operation Epic Fury, space-based infrared sensors and related systems have been used to detect and track Iranian ballistic missile launches in real time, helping intercept or pre‑empt many missiles and enabling rapid targeting of Iran’s launchers and support infrastructure.

Those strikes were made possible by satellites operated by the US Space Force.

The US Space Force, established in 2019, is critical for air and sea forces to know where and when to attack, when to take cover, and the locations of enemy missiles.

They do it “with satellites that have infrared sensors for finding where rockets are being fired,” Brent David Ziarnick, former professor in the Space Force program at Johns Hopkins University and retired officer in the US Air Force, told The Post.

“They can spot the missiles and pinpoint where the launchers are. The missiles can be intercepted and destroyed [often with Patriot missiles]. Field forces get notified that an attack is coming, so they can go to shelters or bunkers.”

Space Force’s infrared beams track the missiles the second they launch, via the heat they create. According to ABC News, hundreds of Iranian missiles have been destroyed with this technology.

US space capabilities (operated and managed by USSF) likely helped reduce successful Iranian attacks after the opening strikes by improving early warning and battle damage assessment via space‑based sensors.

Hence, why our mission in Iran is “ahead of schedule”.

Space Force also contributed to the success of Operation Midnight Hammer.

Following the January capture of former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in Caracas, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Dan Caine highlighted Spacecom’s role in providing non-kinetic effects “to create a pathway overhead” for troops during Operation Absolute Resolve.

At the time of the raid, guardians stationed at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado supplied satellite communications and position, timing and navigation (PNT) data to U.S. forces, Gagnon said. Notably, operators controlled elements of the electromagnetic spectrum to provide accurate geolocation data to forces deployed in U.S. Southern Command, while also monitoring for and preventing any interference.

Gagnon noted that similar overwatch capabilities were used during Operation Midnight Hammer, when the Defense Department attacked nuclear facilities in Iran. Guardians also played a crucial role in detecting Iran’s retaliatory missile strikes against U.S. forces in the Middle East only seconds after they were launched.

In the years since its creation, the U.S. Space Force has proven its worth not through fanfare but through precision, foresight, and results. Trump’s vision gave form to a capability our adversaries can neither match nor ignore.

As global threats continue to evolve, America’s guardians in space remind us that leadership sometimes requires looking upward — and thinking decades ahead.

Once again, reality has caught up with the Left’s mockery. The Space Force that Democrats sneered at is now saving American lives and protecting our allies from hostile missile fire. While progressives were busy writing punchlines, President Trump was writing history.

Ayatollahs, Seymour Butts hardest hit.

The hardest hit will always be civilians and children, but I’m flattered you think about me

You’re such a despicable and hypocritical piece of excrement, and a dim-witted fool, besides.

You don’t have any lament or sympathy to offer for the millions of Iranian citizens who’ve been murdered, tortured, abused, “disappeared,” etc., by the evil, goose-stepping Iranian Islamofascist/terroist regime, over nearly fifty years of its evil and wretched reign; nor the tens of thousands of citizens who were murdered by the regime in protests, mere weeks ago.

Your precious, alleged concern for “civilians and children” doesn’t extend to these victims.

Continue sucking off and servicing mohammed and the rest of the Islamofascist/Muslim supremacist cohort, vile and stupid reprobate.

You tell me why school children and hospitals get bombed in addition to the guy who did all that stuff.

I voted for a guy who said no no new wars then he fires a missile at a school for girls and says your sons need to suit up because Jared Kushner had a bad dream.

        But I’m the hypocrite?

        Fuck you, guy.

Milhouse in reply to SeymourButz. | March 11, 2026 at 6:50 pm

No one on our side fired a missile at a school. We fire missiles only at legitimate targets. Occasionally we miss, and someone else gets hit. There’s literally no evidence that that’s what happened in this case, but it does happen from time to time. That’s war. That’s how war works. The laws of war allow for it.

That’s why deliberately putting civilians at a military target, or deliberately siting a military target among civilians, is a war crime, and any deaths that result are their side’s fault, not that of the ones legitimately firing.

There is absolutely no requirement to refrain from firing just because the enemy has committed a war crime by putting civilians in danger. Those deaths are the enemy’s crimes and not our concern.

But in this case that did not happen. We fired at the base, and we hit it. No civilian casualties. And propagating enemy propaganda is treason, even without an overt act before witnesses that allows the person to be tried for it.

Literally NOTHING you posted is accurate.

Soon that will end because your allies, the leftist and islamoleftist scum will be dead.

The civilians and children are safer when our soldiers have the best, most up to date information and capabilities.

Well mentally speaking you do write like a child.

Fascinating! More clandestine that the other branches.

You do know that the Space Command inside the Air Force was already doing those things, right? Space Force is a continuation of their work?

The Space Force consolidated much of the expertice that existed within each of the services into one service. The article doesn’t do a great job of separating the service (Space Force) which provides trained and ready forces with its people and equipement, from US SPACE COMMAND, which controls forces and fights the fight by delivering space based capabilities to the rest of the force.

The post indicates that the Democrats mocked it because they didn’t think it would work. They may have mocked it because they thought it would work and they don’t want us to have defensive weapons that work.

I am happy to see the Space Force get credit for precision navigation and timing, ballistic missile target detection and identification, and satellite communications. In particular, the speed and accuracy of missile warning and defense have greatly improved since Desert Shield/Storm.

Since I was in Air Force Space Command, I feel free to be critical as well. The US has not developed an adequate response to Iranian drones. It appears that most (all?) US casualties have been from drones, which fly low and slow, making them a challenge for our defense systems. But the devastating impact of drones has been demonstrated for three years in Ukraine. This is a limitation that needs to be addressed quickly,

MoeHowardwasright | March 11, 2026 at 5:23 am

It was a consolidation of the various parts of the space based systems. That alone kept the competing services from creating their own fiefdoms. Instead we have an integrated approach to utilizing our technologies to our advantage.

“saving american lives” is the last thing they want to do as they bravely proved when they wouldnt even acknowledge trumps SOU declaration that that was main job of government

the sharia patrols are out in force and just beat up 2 guys speaking hebrew in a san jose restaurant

they mean what they say and they back it up on the streets

There is no way that Space Force has had time to develop much new tech on their own. The tech described was all envisioned by Ronald Reagan under his (also derided) ‘Star Wars’ initiative.

Perhaps Seymour could fellate the new Ayatollah and his goat?
A twofer..
