Scott Jennings Reveals Embarrassing Detail Marjorie Taylor Greene Tried to Hide
“He did her a big favor, which is to show her information that a candidacy statewide in Georgia for her would have been a disaster.”
Once one of President Donald Trump’s most loyal supporters, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has become one of his most outspoken critics. Their feud reached a fever pitch on Friday night when Trump took to Truth Social to announce he had withdrawn his support and endorsement from the Georgia congresswoman.
In his incendiary missive, Trump listed his administration’s many achievements to date and lamented, “All I see ‘Wacky’ Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN! It all seemed to begin when I sent her a poll showing that she should not run for senator or governor — she was at 12% and didn’t have a chance.”

Minutes later, Greene returned fire on X. She insisted Trump was angry over her support to release the Epstein files, writing, “And of course he’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next weeks vote to release the Epstein files. It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level.”
President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently this is what sent him over the edge.
The Epstein files.

On Monday morning, Trump called her bluff, telling House Republicans they “should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.” Mary covered this story here.
Despite Greene’s insistence that her clash with Trump began over the Epstein files, the rift appears to have started after he sent her private polling on how she might fare in a potential Georgia Senate or gubernatorial run.
During a CNN panel discussion on Sunday’s State of the Union, analyst Scott Jennings shed some light on why those polls may have upset Greene so much: the Senate survey showed her trailing Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) by a staggering 20 points. It’s one thing to lose an election; it’s another to be publicly humiliated.
Here’s what Jennings told his colleagues:
[Trump] didn’t tell her not to run [for Senate]. What she didn’t say was that he sent her a poll privately, discreetly, and it had information in it. And it showed her down 20 points to Sen. Jon Ossoff.
In politics, when you want to send a message to someone that you like or that has been an ally, you don’t embarrass them publicly. You privately send them information and show them what the reality is.
I think it’s true that he didn’t tell her not to run, but it’s also true that he did her a big favor, which is to show her information that a candidacy statewide in Georgia for her would have been a disaster.

Greene may have been positioned to win the Republican nomination for the Senate race, but the poll pointed to a devastating loss to Ossoff in the general election. Such a defeat would have been humiliating for Greene and damaging to both Georgia Republicans and the party’s hopes of maintaining a Senate majority.
Aside from Trump’s remark in his Friday night Truth Social post that Greene was polling at 12%, earlier reports indicated only that the private polling showed her losing to Ossoff. They did not reveal just how large the margin might be until Jennings’s disclosure.
Greene has taken her clash with Trump to such extremes that any path to reconciliation now seems remote. Their widening rift offers Democrats a ready-made opening as they work relentlessly to reclaim the House in 2026. And while Greene is hardly a political heavyweight, she remains perfectly capable of creating headaches for both Trump and the Republican Party—an unwelcome prospect heading into a pivotal midterm election cycle.

I can’t parse the headline-language title, trying various words as noun and then verb and still not finding the solution.
I was about to post the same thing.
You aren’t alone.
I think the title should be “Scott Jennings Reveals Embarrassing Detail Marjorie Taylor Greene Tried to Hide”
Or: “”Scott Jennings Reveals Embarrassing Poll Marjorie Taylor Greene Tried to Hide”
“Trump Feud” is the category. Maybe with some punctuation, its clearer:
“”Scott Jennings Reveals Embarrassing Detail Marjorie Taylor Greene Tried to Hide–Trump Feud”
It was a failed attempt to put the headline in iambic pentameter.
I thought it was a Haiku but I’m just baffled. Missed punctuation and a dropped word or two I think.
Sorry about that. Fixed it!
That’s better!
Greene is a politician. Trump is a businessman. Entirely different mindsets and worldviews.
Somebody was whispering into her ear… feeding on her self-importance. Reality just hit her full face. By the way… where did she “earn” so much money? Nancy Pelosi School of Investment?
She has a majority stake in her construction company. Most sites have her net worth increasing substantially during her time in Congress but don’t say it was from stock trading like savant Pelosi but that the majority of her wealth is from her company. One source I found though, is wildly different and says her net worth went down drastically when she joined Congress then has been slowly increasing but still below what she was worth before joining.

Maybe instead of no standards a standard of “If you think wild fires are caused by the Jews you are not welcome to a safe seat for Republicans” would have helped avoid this Democrat propagandist being in a position to sew discord?
This is yet another example of “basic standards”, MTG should never have been given prominence.
Sow discord.

Brings to mind a sign I saw at a thrift shop in Birmingham Alabama. A sewing machine with “Make it sew. $55.00”.
The brand name of the machine was… Riccar.
She didn’t actually say that. What she did say was stupid, but not antisemitic. The “Jews” connection was pasted on by Democrats looking to make trouble.
In speculating about the origins of the 2018 wildfires in California she said they may have been caused by “laser beams of light from space and among the entities behind this conspiracy were former California Gov. Jerry Brown, Pacific Gas & Electric, and Rothschild Inc.” left seized on the Rothschilds who are linked to all kinds of conspiracy theories and labeled her anti semitic going so far as to ignore the others she talked about and claiming she believed in Jewish Space Lasers, a wildly inaccurate and distorted assertation.
Exactly.
Yes, the Rothschilds have for two centuries been the object of the most vile antisemitic conspiracy theories, and in many cases people muttering about “the Rothschilds” use them as a stand-in for “the Jooos” in general. But that doesn’t mean every reference to them, let alone to a specific company that they founded and that is still in business, is antisemitic.
Rothschild, Inc. does business and therefore will naturally attract criticism — fair, unfair, or downright lunatic — for things it does, or that people claim it does.
In this case it related to a specific person who was on the board of Rothschild Inc and also on the board of a space laser company and I think also of the railway boondoggle, so it’s reasonable to suppose that someone put 1+1+1 together and came up with 547, without intending anything about the Rothschild family, let alone Jooos.
And that person might be so ignorant, and so innocent of antisemitism, that they’ve never heard of the antisemitic use of “Rothschild” as a slur for Jooos, and it never occurred to them that anyone would understand it that way.
MTG is an oddity as she was elected in ’20 in the midst of Biden victory and the d/prog taking both GA Senate Seats. Her CD, GA 14, which she moved into after initially seeking to run in GA 7 despite her long term residence in GA 6 is deep Red, she’s won between 64% and 75% of the votes in her three campaigns. Consequently she has leeway to say/do off the wall things to pander to oddball/extremist people to ‘prove’ she’s more authentic or more in touch or whatever. Frankly I’ve always viewed her as a grifter. I’d not be surprised to see her out of politics having used her position as a springboard into National awareness with a B list podcast.
A politician whose a grifter? You dont say.
I suspect MTG is gonna end up as far more than a garden variety political grifter and ultimately be revealed as a ‘1st Ballot HoF Grifter’ but if you think she’s no more than a run of the mill political grifter feel free to disagree, time will tell.
I mean, a 1st Ballot HoF grifter is called a junior Senator. She has a long way to go, though, before she is a Nancy Pelosi-level grifter.
Your grifter HoF has much wider doors than my version. I reserve entry for the true ‘greats’ not just an average amiable dunce who manages to win a Statewide election.
Who’s.
-s- The Pædant.
Her desire for higher office motivated her pandering to the left. She obviously hoped to win support from anti Trump voters in a bid for one of Georgia’s Senate seats.
If a well funded MAGA populist primaries her she may be looking for a job next year.
If Trump and Musk can reconcile, then so can Trump and Greene.
Greene is just panicking about her reelection chances. Her district is especially hard hit by the loss of ACA subsidies – one of the worst impacted in the entire country (I’m not sure why that is, but it is.)
Fried Chicken and Crispy Cream Donuts would be my guess.
At this point… almost anyone without Governor Kemp’s name recognition would be down 20 pts to Ossoff. I am not sure the feud with Trump hurts her in a state where the governor (Kemp) publicly feuded with Trump and then outperformed him, and in a state that rejected Trump-aligned Senate candidates.
Someone once wrote (paraphrasing): even bad publicity is good publicity. (that was Trump, in Art of the Deal).
So far… Greene criticised the cost of living and Trump rolled back tariffs, and Greene was voting for the Epstein files to be released and Trump caved to that, too.
She’s running for Senate. Her real liability is not the MAGA palace politics, its her (maybe?) alignment with the Fuentes/Carlson groyper wing.
MTG is the AOC of the GOP
Loud, and not that bright
If they both win their respective states Senate seat, do they cancel out like matter and antimatter? lol
If they did, we could power the entire country for 20 years on the resulting energy.
That pairing would be like a Senatorial buttered toast / cat array.
“On Monday morning, Trump called her bluff, telling House Republicans they “should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.”
Say what you like, but she just proved her effectiveness over everybody else in Washington,
“Greene has taken her clash with Trump to such extremes that any path to reconciliation now seems remote.”
Yeah, like Musk — right?
Three months from now, it’ll be like nobody ever went off their political lithium.
I would assume that the ‘FILES’ are in the possession of the DOJ, so Trump can release them w/o Congress or MTG
Who needs another kamikaze candidate, like Roy Moore, AL Senate 2017, a seat lost to Democrats in a state that voted bigly for Trump…
And wtf is a groyper and how did it sneak into our tent. Kids these days
So the Senate and Governor seats are out. maybe she can run as Mike Pence’s VP Candidate in 2028. LOL
mtg is a good soldier and is looking out for her own career
trump for the win
