Israel Intensifies Strikes on South Lebanon as Hezbollah Tries to Rebuild Terror Infrastructure

Iran-sponsored terrorist group Hezbollah “replenishing weapons supplies, and recruiting and training new fighters.”

Israel has stepped up strikes on Hezbollah targets as the Iran-backed terrorist group tries to reestablish its presence in southern Lebanon. Following waves of airstrikes on Thursday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out multiple strikes today, eliminating several Hezbollah operatives across the border.

Israel’s Ynetnews, on Saturday, talked of ‘tensions flaring on Lebanon border’ as ‘Israel targets Hezbollah.’

Since Thursday, Israel has intensified strikes on terrorist targets on the border with Lebanon. “After Thursday’s escalation along the northern border, during which the IDF issued five evacuation warnings to residents of southern Lebanon and struck multiple Hezbollah targets, explosions were again heard overnight and Saturday morning across the border,” the news outlet added.

On Saturday morning, the IDF confirmed in a statement that it “struck in the area of Chebaa in southern Lebanon, eliminating two terrorists from the ‘Lebanese Resistance Brigades’ terrorist organization, which operates under the direction of the Hezbollah terrorist organization.”

“The terrorists were involved in smuggling weapons used by Hezbollah, and their activities constituted a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF added.

A few hours later, in a second statement, the Israeli military revealed that it “struck and eliminated a Hezbollah terrorist  in the area of Baraashit in southern Lebanon.”

According to the statement, the slain terrorist “was involved in attempts to rehabilitate Hezbollah military infrastructure in the area, and his actions constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”

The Jerusalem Post reported today’s strike, noting the growing Hezbollah terrorist buildup across the border:

On Monday, two Hezbollah operatives were killed in southern Lebanon by Israeli drone strikes in two separate incidents. The strikes took place in the border town of Ait a-Shaab and in Nabatiya. These killings were the latest acts in Israel’s ongoing campaign to prevent Hezbollah from rearming and reorganizing south of the Litani River.

Over 300 Hezbollah members have been killed by Israel in this ongoing campaign since a ceasefire between Israel and the organization was officially declared in November 2024. Israel’s operations against Hezbollah reflect the complexity of the current moment in both Lebanon and the broader region.

The Iran-led regional alliance has been significantly weakened by two years of war with Israel. Yet the various components of the Iran-led Axis of Resistance, and the Tehran regime itself, remain stronger than their domestic opponents. As a result, they are now repairing their losses.

For Hezbollah in Lebanon, this means replenishing weapons supplies, and recruiting and training new fighters. It is also threatening civil strife to deter any inclination that the Lebanese authorities might have to disarm the organization. Hezbollah, it appears, is making steady progress in these areas.

Iran-sponsored Hezbollah is rebuilding its terrorist capabilities, which were largely destroyed in the 8-week-long Israeli ground invasion of southern Lebanon, which began in early October 2024. Following a ceasefire brokered by President Donald Trump, the Lebanese government had agreed to disarm Hezbollah by the end of this year. With the Shia-Jihadist militia now rebuilding its infrastructure on Israel’s border, Beirut has miserably failed to fulfill this obligation.

“Israeli security forces said the attacks were triggered by Hezbollah’s accelerated efforts to re-arm following their defeat in 2024,” the Daily Telegraph (UK) observed on Saturday. “The terrorist militia’s push to regroup has put Lebanon’s own military in a race against time to bulk up its forces and meet a US-imposed deadline to disarm Hezbollah by January.”

Unfortunately the left and Hamas/Hesbullah share the same objective, the destruction of Israel and the elimination of Jews everywhere.

This is why you never hear the left demanding Hamas/Hesbullah seek peace with Israel. Because the left doesn’t demand this there will be no peace and the very people they claim they are supporting will continue to die needlessly. To think; this all happens simply because the left hates Jews more than it loves peace.

Stop with the stupid evac warnings. You won’t get any credit for them and the terrorists will just leave after the warning. Just announce anything with 15 miles of the border is subject to destruction at any time and then burn it all down.
