Election Day 2025: Democrats Demolish Republicans in Major Races
Who will come out on top?
Democrats snatched all the major races:
- Former Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger is the next Virginia governor.
- Democrat Jay Jones, who fantasized about murdering a rival and his kids, is the next Virginia attorney general.
- Democratic Rep. Mikie Sherill is the next governor of New Jersey.
- New York City elected Zohran Mamdani, a socialist anti-Israel man, as its next mayor.
The Democrats also retain control of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Virginia
Virginia will elect a new governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general.
Spanberger projected to win.

The guy who fantasized about murdering children? Yeah, he just won the attorney general job. Only 45% of Virginia voters considered his texts disqualifying.
There it is.
Virginians decided that fantasizing about murdering kids, driving 116mph, and then scamming a judge to use community service for your own campaign was exactly what they needed in their next AG. https://t.co/eUgHmRnVA4

Former Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger or Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Spears will become Virginia’s first female governor. Earle-Spears could become the first black female governor in the country!
Then we have the attorney general race. Democrat Jay Jones leads Republican incumbent Jason Miyares, 49% to 47%.
Almost 1.5 million people voted early in Virginia.
New Jersey
As Elizabeth noted earlier, several polling stations faced bomb threats on Tuesday morning.
The governor’s race is probably the closest one out of all the races.
The last poll I saw had Democratic Rep. Mikie Sherill leading Republican Jack Ciattrelli 49% to 48%.
Despite the closeness, places already called it for Sherill.

New York City
Congratulations, New York City. You have a socialist.
The Mayor of America's largest is going to be a foreign-born Communist:

However, over 1.4 million people voted in New York City by 3 PM EST. It’s the highest count in two decades.
Only 1.15 million people voted in the 2021 mayoral race.
California
I bet California passes Prop 50, which would push aside the nonpartisan redistricting commission for the rest of the decade.
The Democrat-led legislature would redraw the lines, making more blue districts.

All the pink, blue haired facist Muslim commies, anti Trump, anti American , illegals and old ladies voted in NYC
And everywhere else
This is their moment
Congratulations, Virginia. You have voted to retain the second class citizen status for biological women and have elevated the feelings of mentally confused men. Way to go.
Virginia confirms its racism and xenophobia by voting against the black immigrant.
On my way home a little bit ago, I heard on the talking-type wireless that 90% of the black vote went against Sears. So, whe the chips were down they didn’t vote color, they voted welfare.
Money over color. Makes sense to me. Besides she isn’t a real black american. Not like Kamalatoe. Oh wait. Ok not like that Obama fella. Oh wait….
They voted welfare.
That’s fur shure
I expected nothing else. The 20% that went for Sears are producers. Not takers.
The only color that doesn’t run in Black America is Green.
Black dems go through mental gymnastics to accuse black conservatives of being race traitors.
The d/prog voters in VA certainly did and I suspect the AWFLs in the suburbs and boomers played an outsize role in putting the d/prog into power…just as they did for Biden in 20. Both demographic groups skew left.
The only race that actually surprised me was Jay Jones but I guess Dems in VA are quite happy with someone that wishes death on the children of other people. Others are making a big deal about the votes but Dems were expected to win all the races.
I wonder if he can he still be sanctioned by the Virginia Bar. Not that I expect that to happen, but it would be nice.
Would be nice, but won’t happen.
LOL
‘Nonpartisan redistricting commission’.
What a joke. It’s full of leftists pretending to be nonpartisan. They’ve already gerrymandered the ever loving CRAP out of California.
The idea that they’re ‘non-partisan’ is a joke.
Make no mistake, if Prop 50 fails, they’ll just redraw the maps anyway.
It won’t fail
They have the votes
And really, what difference would it make? California already has a permanent democratic super majority.
When people have opportunity to see these new Democrats in action, rather than in theory, support will swing against them. It’s always up and down on the roller coaster, but making it all about Trump and implementing extreme policies will not go over well, as was seen in 2024. Then again, hate sometimes knows no bounds, and that is in no short supply from moral pretenders who will coerce you to obey.
Doubtful. Democrats will vote Democrat regardless of how shit their lives have em made by democrats.
Don’t be so sure about that. The people that voted these Dems into office will be fine as long as they continue to get free stuff and see others with more than them punished.
Leftists never admit mistakes. They double down on stupid.
I live in California. Charles Manson (D, Dead) wins in any statewide race.
In fairness to the California voter, only by about 10 points as opposed to the usual 20+.
When I retire, I’ll be leaving Virginia for good.
The very next day.
I too will be leaving VA when I retire. I was hoping that DOGE would relieve us of some of these insufferable bureaucrats and then they would leave Virginia, but it hasn’t happened. The deep state is ever so resilient.
I voted for Winsome, but it was clear for the last two weeks that it would not be close.
I will not be at all surprised if she winds up with a position in the Trump administration.
That takes time. People don’t move all that quickly. And yes, it was clear who would win for the last several weeks, but the Democrats outperformed their polls by about 5 points, and outperformed in every part of the state. They had the more motivated turnout. Next year’s Midterms will be a very tough election, no matter how much redistricting our side can do. You can’t afford to spread your voters too thin when you gerrymander, or else you can lose the whole map.
This is a factor of why blue strong holds will not flip.
You leaving is part of their plan.
Ca will never be flipped back.
Wa, will never be flipped back.
NYC will never be flipped back.
I’ve got 10 buildable acres just across the border in Greeneville for sale. I was going to build, but bought a house in Johnson City instead.
I did that already. After McAuliffe was elected.
All the Dems are winning
All
What did you expect in Democrat shit holes?
Blue States, although NJ has a weak shot at one they are neck and neck in polling so ballots will be popping up there till the Dem wins.
I hope Jay Jones and his family enjoy the safety he would rescind from others.
Amazing how the GOP lost every race.
Not really. Off year elections have low turnout compared to a Presidential election or even a midterm. Same for local elections in the spring. By holding these elections off cycle it increases/magnifies the bloc voting power of lefty organizations. That’s the big built in advantage the left holds over the center/right. Combined with off cycle elections it becomes very tough to overcome the structural advantage d/prog hold.
These are heavily blue States. It would’ve been a miracle if a Republican had won.
People don’t understand this. Also the media won’t reflect in this. It’s going to be wall to wall slobberinghappiness from the Democrat media for the rest of the week 🙄
TY Paula.. Party affiliation was amplified by the shutdown. Blueish went deep blue.
Yep. NJ is a blue State. VA is usually blue and occasionally purple. The d/prog should have been expected to win these elections. The brief glimmer of ’21 in NJ with a closer contest and 17/21 in VA where Youngkin and the GoP won statewide have created illusory potential wins on an ongoing basis for GoP.
VA’ turnout was fairly high. As of now 3,354,810 voted in the governor’s contest. More than in the last Midterm. VA normally goes against whomever is elected President the previous year. Comparison to past years:
As of 9/1/2025, the Commonwealth of Virginia has 6,302,486 registered voters.
Year Total Registered Percentage Change from Previous Year Total Voting Turnout (% Voting of Total Registered) Voting Absentee (Included in Total Voting)
2024 6,434,637 5.15% 4,535,314 70.48% 2,344,581
2023 6,119,552 -0.21% 2,507,159 40.96% 826,174
2022 6,132,331 2.89% 3,021,956 49.28% 992,227
2021 5,959,692 -.02% 3,276,572 54.9% 1,183,280
2020 5,975,696 6.18% 4,486,821 75.08% 2,687,304

2018 5,666,962 3.31% 3,374,382 59.5% 337,315
2017 5,489,530 -0.73% 2,612,309 47.6% 192,397
2016 5,529,742 6.41% 3,984,631 72.05% 566,948
2015 5,196,436 -1.60% 1,509,864 29.1% 62,605
2014 5,281,011 0.78% 2,194,346 41.6% 123,221
2013 5,240,286 -3.5% 2,253,418 43.0% 121,359
2012 5,428,833 6.1% 3,858,043 71.06% 447,907
Trump lost CA, NY, NJ and VA in 2024. Why? Because they have more Democrat voters. How is it amazing that one year later those states are still blue?
The commie Muslim and the child killer
We also can’t ignore the amount of questionable antics that went on yesterday;
–a county in Pennsylvania that “forgot” to include ballots for independents, so they had to complete provisional ballots; and the polling places didn’t have enough provisional ballots.
–In several precincts, the voting machines were down in the red districts (this happened to us in Mesa, AZ in 2020)
–A person on social media said that he voted for Mandami six times in NYC (easy to do since voter ID is not required)
–In California mail-in voting, the mailing envelope had a hole in it that showed if the vote was NO against Prop 50. How convenient that they could just be sorted out.
How do we ever have fair elections again?
They were expected to win, but they outperformed their polls by a lot. Their voters were motivated.
No, not amazing at all. In every race Dems were projected to win with the only question being by how much. Jones does surprise me some, though. I had thought wishing death on people’s children would be a bridge too far for even Democrats but I guess not.
Jones reveals the rot at the heart of the Dimtard party. They simply don’t care as long as it’s a Dim.
When you elect someone who wants to
Murder Republicans children
And your ok with that
Civil war must come
Let’s just get it over with while we have the military
1. No thanks to a Civil war, hard pass
2. Any civil.war in the US won’t be limited to military, there won’t be any outsourcing to ‘someone else’. It will look a lot more like Mogadishu, Ramadi or Fallujah where everyone is forced to play…whether they want to or not.
I have nothing but blood to shed. I vote for secession and the war that follows. This is not the time to roll over and play dead when your opposition openly calls for your murder.
Quit trying to polish a turd.
If you’re advocating for beginning a civil war you don’t understand what that means in practice. Far better to seek to avoid it if possible. If you live in a blue State or blue enclave then I’d suggest getting out before you kick off a civil war. There won’t be a ‘front line’ you can view on TV from afar, it will take place in neighborhoods including your own. That neighbor who doesn’t like you, who has a grudge will use the chaos to ‘get even’ despite the fact your political ideology may align.
Seeking to avoid armed conflict when possible isn’t ‘rolling over’. It’s simple prudence. As for.shedding blood…I know how much I’ve shed in my 26+ years in the Army in some very hostile places. Those of us who’ve been there and done that have far less desire to see our Nation devolve into a civil war bringing the devastation to our doorstep.
The alternative to a civil war is to be the target of a genocide. There is no third option anymore, and that was true even before yesterday’s results. Leaving the usual moochers and parasites aside, the Left has an alarmingly large percentage of rich, credentialed supporters who sincerely believe they have both the right and the duty to exterminate “racists” (read: anyone who does not bow the knee to Karl Marx).
The Communists will look at yesterday’s results and conclude (correctly, I am sorry to say) that politically-motivated killing and terrorism are electoral winners.
recovering,
I don’t advocate voluntarily allowing yourself to be put on a train. If the ‘left’ begins a ‘civil war’ then sure by all means join in to defeat them. I didn’t make any argument to the contrary. I am saying not to want one, call for one and definitely not to begin it …and no, the random mob violence or even target assassination as with Kirk or the attempts on Trump are not the start of a ‘civil war’. Indications one may emerge? Sure.
One suggestion is to get away from any location in a blue State or city/enclave where you are ‘behind the lines’ so to speak. When a modern civil war/strife kicks off nobody is coming to ‘save’ someone in Chicago or LA or NYC. Probably not even in a place like Austin TX, at least not before the wokiesta lefty mob gets through threshold of suspected/actual center/right folks. Red State forces would save Houston b/c it has things that matter way before trying to save Austin which doesn’t. UT and the Capital run a distant second to oil/gas port facilities/personnel.
If you really think a civil war is coming then go get a rural property with a well, a small orchard, a garden. Put in some solar power. Stock up on food and ‘hunting gear’. Become more self reliant and make your home a hard target to offer safety to your Family to ride out the storm. Make friends with new neighbors having already made sure they are like minded folks before you relocate. I don’t think the wokiestas would perform very well outside their own familiar urban locations.
Secession can come w/out bloodshed.
Secession is not an option unless the state wants to take on its portion of the $37 trillion national debt. I’m not aware of any state that could do that.
1. No thanks to a Civil war, hard pass
Too late.
The US is in one already.
The left started it the first time they stole a presidency. THEY have been fighting it ever since while the right has tried to talk it away.
The right is afraid of the civil war because the right has the guns. The right understands that it would be a bloodbath that would be hard to stop.
But the left doesn’t care.
They are not ‘calling’ for murder. They are killing.
And soon, so will the right.
Contrary to CommoC’s remark… the other side will outsource it. Captain Islam suicide vest and Lt stabby stab reporting for duty.
Sure but the folks on the right who seem so eager for it will not be able to outsource, which is what I meant if that wasn’t clear.
Let’s say that’s true and a state of civil war exists as you claim…what specifically did you do today to combat the opposition? Apart from an internet post?
I submit that b/c you have time today and a working internet to post and persuade folks that a civil war doesn’t exist. When it comes it will be at your doorstep and you’ll be too busy fighting to survive to bother with posting comments.
09/01: “We will never forget!”
11/25: You forgot.
100%
While the Democrat wins may have been because of off cycle elections could the Democrats had some “election reinforcement” assistance like they did in 2020?
There was plenty of it posted on X yesterday.
The legacy media will have a field day tomorrow. It will encourage the extremists in the echo chambers to scream more. People will suffer at their expense. In the real world, what will happen? After Autopen is sharp as a tack and the other hoaxes, it’s become too easy to make some swallow.
No bailouts for blue states…take the land and run off the politicians and leeches.
To be clear the Republican party of Mitt Romney and Bush was rejected by the voters. That Republican party has nothing but contempt for President Trump and the new movement that supports him. In fact, they reject that movement and the voters that support it, They are contemptible elitists and deserve to lose, Good riddance.
Thank you, Lord, that I live where I live. If the Old South swings Dimocrat, we are well and truly lost.
.
Thank you, Lord that AC works well down here. I’m a blue state refugee voting to make the south redder than it was.
Won’t happen in Louisiana. We’re weird that way. Even our Democrats are conservative.
It’s the Congress / senate worry about in 2026
Now you see the plan Dems have been up to all along. Delay, shutdown, drag feet over judicial and executive nominations and find rogue judges to stop anything Trump does until the midterms hoping you will retake control of the House and maybe Senate.
Nothing really unexpected. Virgina was going to go Blue because of the federal workforce cutbacks. I hate to say it, but the “Old South” likely prevented some people from voting for Sears. I would like to see how close the New Jersey Governors race is compared to prior years. I believe the Republicans are making inroads. New York. That’s liberal communist cesspool. Zohran will find it much harder to implement his plans when all the money leaves New York.
I agree that VA was going blue. I live in rural Georgia and I completely disagree that they didn’t vote for Sears due to her race. I understand that she did not have a well-run campaign
She didn’t have a well run campaign, but neither did Spanberger. The Democrats had a massive wind at their backs, though. The race of a Republican candidate can have an effect, but only at the margins. It was not relevant in a blowout like yesterday.
Extremism is the major victor today left and right.
This is not a defeat for right wing extremists, when leftwing extremists wing right wing extremists get more powerful in reaction.
Today was utterly catastrophic, and I hope Trump gets a major fund for returning looted antiquities to their rightful owners.
Why bend the law for New York a communist cesspool that knowingly made itself a source of extremism for both sides?
Are the extremists on the right in the room with you know Danny? 🤔🙄
I’m not worried about the fictional right extremists. It’s the actual left extremists you should be worried about.
Fuck you neo-Nazi
Because you are a neo-Nazi fuck you
and to the eight neo-nazi sympathizers who upvoted you FUCK YOU
I am sick to death of neo-Nazism on the right and it’s enablers.
Since Charlie Kirk’s death a major section of the right has been trying to rescue his killer while blaming the Jews, people like Tucker Carlson have been pushing the Epstein did it for Israel conspiracy theory while lying about what he actually did…..
But you nine jackasses do you, you nine jackasses however I promise while you may think enabling nazism is different now than in the 1930s I promise you it isn’t.
Enjoy the company of the Heritage Foundation President and Nick Fuentes.
Muh both sides.
HOW ABOUT THE MUH I HATE NAZIS YOU PIECE OF SHIT.
TOO MANY AMERICANS DIED IN WW2 FOR SCUMBAGS LIKE YOU TO HAVE A VOICE ON THE RIGHT. IF NEO-NAZIS RISE ON THE RIGHT IS FINE WITH YOU I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL.
HOW THE FUCK DO YOU JUSTIFY DENYING THE EXISTENCE OF RIGHT WING EXTREMISTS WHEN TUCKER CARLSON LAUNDERING NEO-NAZI PROPAGANDA IS A THING ON THE RIGHT IS CANDACE’ AUDIENCE IMAGINARY?
You’re a stable person, Danny. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Vinegar won’t attract as many folks to support or even listen to your position than would honey.
That said the center/right must absolutely reject the true loons, the crackpots, the whackos. No room for them in any leadership or prominent capacity within the broad center/right. TC and Owens among a few others who are seemingly apologists for Fuentes or his loony supporters should not be welcomed into the fold at places like Heritage. Doesn’t mean cancel them, censor them but don’t pretend they ain’t playing footsie with Fuentes and his lunatic supporters or offer the prestige of an invite to speak at Heritage.
We must reject the neo Nazis and antisemitism right alongside those who call for any sort of race based, region based tribal superiority. Similarly we also must reject those who make false claims of antisemitism or any other false claims of ist, ism, phobia. Legitimate criticism of any Nation or its US based supporters is not a good faith reason to label someone as ‘bad’ or beyond the pale. So long as we.stick to putting the well being of the broad US middle-class, the center 70% between the top 15% and the bottom 15%, as measuring stick for putting US Citizens first then we’re gonna be ok.
Dems had horrible candidates and horrible campaigns. They won anyway.
I am convinced that candidates and issues are no longer important factors. Tribalism and money dominates all.
Money buys votes and flips votes. Tribalism makes sure flipped votes are kept quiet. Money and tribalism determine who staffs the election offices, court-benches and TV studios.
Too bad. Let the pain of their collective decisions start in earnest especially New York City. All the freebie promised will surely make their lives better, until they run out of others people’s money. But alas this time socialism will work just right
Get out, get out while you can!
“We will prove that there is no problem too large for government to solve, and no concern too small for it to care about.” — Mohran Jihadi Ground Zero Victory Speech
i.e. “Government is EVERYTHING’
Okey doke, there …
How about this: “We are the future.” (to wit: we, the islamo marxists and the communists who support us). This is the beginning of the end.
Wasnt even close in NJ. The polls were way off.
Mandami got over 50%
I welcome all the financial services companies to Dallas and Charlotte. Youll love it.
The biggest losers of this election, once again, are the pollsters who were way off in every race.
38% californians voted for trump. But after gerrymandering, only 7% congressional districts in CA will now have republican representation.
Californians should vote with their feet and move to nevada and arizona and flip those purple states red.
Unsecured elections and ignorance are undefeated when getting the worst people in office under the democrat banner.
As I’ve written before: Jews, it’s time to leave. If you have young children, it’s time to save them from a life of submission. This organization will help you.
https://www.nbn.org.il/
The shutdown will end now the left is regaining power.
the ostriches have come home to roost
head in the sand and look ma they snuck up on us
no they did not
they took over while in plain sight
I’m very worried about midterms now, without Trump on the ballot the Republicans appear totally inept
Who will take the mantel, who will push us forward
the dems ARE pushing us forward
we will have to make a very very uncomfortable decision based on the *choices* the left is giving us
Huh, it’s almost as if transforming the GOP solely into a vehicle to get one man, who will never be on the ballot again, elected to one office one time is NOT the the best of long term strategic plans ever.
Presidential elections always are built around the President. Always. I am concerned about 2028. If conditions stay as they are Vance has a good shot, but the timing of the next financial crash concerns me. If it is 2026, the Democrats will take both the House and Senate next year. 2027 would be best because that gives a year to recover, but 2028 would be disastrous, just like how 2008 elected Obama.
It is like our elections are in a resonance pattern, where it goes back and forth and in shorter time frames. I think because the government is way too big. Lot of people with finances tied into government piggy bank. The public is impatient for results, complaining that Trump hasn’t run the economy so everyone is hunky dory, then turning around and saying they are afraid he has too much power and a dictator. We want a benevolent dictator like Santa Claus or something I guess.
We truly are divided by race and gender. Exit polls for Virginia showed the dividing lines for AG.
Among males, Miyares got more votes 55% to 44%. Among females, Jay Jones won decisively 61% to 39%.
Among whites, Miyares led by 57% to 43%. For non-whites, a whopping 79% went for Jones compared to 21% for Miyares.
Obama was in Virginia campaigning for Democrats. Now we know why. His job was to get women and non-whites to turn out, and it clearly worked.
The only polls that really mattered are the participation/turn-out trends along these dividing lines.
exactly
the gender/race wars are not new
but them being brought into the spotlight NOW that wht women are siding more and more against themselves…is the real news
I voted early on Saturday, and turnout was very high. I don’t know how anyone else voted, but I can say most of the people at the Government Center didn’t look like Republicans to me.
Trump sounded a bit down at the Republican senators meeting
He wants the filibuster to become reality
The senators are ready to show their Dino colors and give the Dems what they want
Sickening, hope Trump vetos, unfortunately think with Dems they would have the vote
And THAT would be a disaster
A lot of cope going on. Oh, it’s far worse than this post would indicate.
For the first time since they moved to four year terms for Governor, the same party won the New Jersey governorship three times in a row.
Virginia was a purple state. Since 2004, when Bush won the state, the GOP has controlled the House of Delegates almost all the time, controlled the state Senate half the time, and won the governorship multiple times. Since the end of the cold war this is only the second election where the Democrats have won a trifecta in the state. Not only were the GOP thrashed on the statewide level, but the GOP lost over a dozen seats in the House of Delegates, giving the Dems a near super-majority. Before Trump the GOP had the near super-majority. Guess this is what they call “winning”.
Colorado approved tax hikes “on the rich” to literally fund free lunches.
But what should frighten Republicans the most is the absolute ass kicking they got in the statewide races in Georgia. The Democrats picked up two statewide elected offices by over twenty points. Sure, it was very low turnout, but this demonstrates that the Dems have highly motivated high propensity voters while much of the GOP doesn’t care if Trump is not personally on the ballot. That sheer magnitude of the Democrats’ victory in Georgia should be making everyone in the GOP hit the panic button.
It’s odd how coping used to be a positive, constructive response to adversity—the opposite of psychological defense mechanisms. Now coping and reliance on defenses appear to be same thing: “cope and seethe” and all that.
Does PH ever visit sites frequented by Democrats, to spread fear, uncertainty, and doubt among them? Or is this privilege reserved for sites like LI?
