Hamas Flotilla Activist Detained for Biting Israeli Medic

While Jerusalem has deported Greta Thunberg and hundreds of other activists who tried to violate Israeli waters on the Hamas-funded flotilla between Wednesday and Friday, a Spanish agitator has been charged with assaulting a prison medic.
According to Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on Sunday, an unnamed “Spanish citizen, a participant in Hamas–Sumud’s provocation, bit a female medical staff member this evening at Ketziot Prison after the staff member escorted her back from a routine medical examination as part of preparations for her expected deportation tomorrow.”
“The medical staff member sustained minor injuries and received local treatment,” the ministry said in a statement. “The Israel Police were called to the scene to handle the attacker.”

Israel’s Ynetnews and Spain’s El Mundo newspaper identified the female miscreant as Reyes Rigo Servia, a resident of the Spanish island of Mallorca, who illegally tried to enter Israel as part of the 42-boat flotilla.

Reyes Rigo Servia is the Spanish activist from the Gaza flotilla who bit a medical staff member from the Israel Prison Service yesterday, was arrested and is being held by the police. A request has been filed to extend her detention by seven days – after it initially appeared she would be deported. Rigo, who works as a Chinese acupuncture therapist, also participated in the global march to the Gaza Strip this past June – which was stopped by authorities in Cairo before reaching its destination.

The bizarre behavior was not limited to just one activist. Greta Thunberg claimed in a pre-recorded video that she had been “abducted” by Israel.
“I have been abducted and taken against my will by Israeli forces,” she said while grinning before the camera. She urged viewers to put pressure on the Swedish government for her “immediate release.”

The Spanish attacker was among 470 activists who were on board the flotilla, which was supported and financed by the terror group Hamas.
“The Israeli foreign ministry (…) has announced the deportations of 341 of the more than 470 people who were on board the 42 intercepted boats in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF),” BBC noted on Monday. Greta Thunberg was among those who were deported on Monday, according to news reports.
The Israeli Navy, backed by several IDF elite units, carried out a 12-hour-long maritime operation named “Horizon Shield,” intercepting 42 vessels trying to land on Israeli shores illegally. The naval blockade is in place to prevent weapons supply to Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist groups in Gaza.
“During Yom Kippur, in an operation that lasted approximately 12 hours, Israeli Navy personnel foiled a large-scale incursion attempt by hundreds of individuals aboard 42 naval vessels that declared their intention to break the lawful maritime security blockade adjacent to the Gaza Strip,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Friday.
IDF Special Forces took part in the operation on the high seas. In 2010, activists on board a similar flotilla ambushed Israeli troops with clubs and knives. Nine flotilla activists were killed when Israeli troops were forced to fire in self-defense.
“The operation involved numerous naval units, including Shayetet 13, Shayetet 3, Snapir troops and other naval units,” the IDF disclosed. “Following the operation, the flotilla members were safely transferred to Ashdod Port for further processing by the Israel Police.”
Despite flotilla activists seeking confrontation, the Navy executed the maritime operation flawlessly, stopping the illegal boats before they could enter Israeli waters. “The Navy stands up to a mission that requires determination and professionalism, to ensure that any attempt to breach the maritime security blockade will be stopped far from our shores,” Commander-in-Chief of the Israeli Navy, Vice-Admiral David Saar Salama, told the troops before the operation.
