FBI Raids John Bolton’s Home

FBI Raids John Bolton’s Home

FBI Director Kash Patel: “NO ONE is above the law… @FBI agents on mission.”

https://twitter.com/marklevinshow/status/1222561156633632768

The FBI raided John Bolton’s home in Bethesda, MD, early this morning, according to The New York Post.

Bolton served briefly as President Donald Trump’s national security advisor during his first term.

FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X:

The Daily Caller’s Vince Coglianese heard from a source:

“This is related to a national security investigation of Mr. Bolton that was shut down by the Biden administration for political reasons. It involves stealing classified documents and weaponizing them for political purposes. Kash Patel and Dan Bongino have reopened the investigation. Hence this morning’s raid.”

From The New York Post:

The probe — which is said to involve classified documents — was first launched years ago, but the Biden administration shut it down “for political reasons,” according to a senior US official.

Bolton’s X account blasted out a message at 7:32 a.m. criticizing Trump’s approach to Russia’s war on Ukraine as FBI agents were inside his home. It was unclear whether it was a scheduled post.

“Russia has not changed its goal: drag Ukraine into a new Russian Empire. Moscow has demanded that Ukraine cede territory it already holds and the remainder of Donetsk, which it has been unable to conquer. Zelensky will never do so. Meanwhile, meetings will continue because Trump wants a Nobel Peace Prize, but I don’t see these talks making any progress.

Bolton has previously been accused of including classified information in his 2020 book, “The Room Where It Happened.”

Ok, I agree with the sentiment that no one is above the law but Bolton would have been on page 547 on the list of people that need an early morning jolt from the FBI.

Get back to me when Barry Soetoro is being frogmarched to the back of a police cruiser in a pair of handcuffs.

I hope this is a prelude to more, and they just did Bolton first because he was the highest profile Republican on the list so they couldn’t use the excuse THIS IS JUST TRUMP ATTACKING DEMOCRATS

That won’t happen. The Left would light the country on fire from one coast to the other. And on a greater note, we don’t *want* that to happen. What they did to Trump was an abomination. Let’s try not to make it normal. (with the caveat that everybody involved gets exposed and fired if possible, which has started)

Bolton would be at the top of the page on a list of shady, self serving DC establishment grifting neocon goons who feel totally justified in their sanctimonious behavior and view themselves as untouchable b/c they are the elite. Applying consequences to Bolton will hopefully shake the rest of the misguided DC establishment/elite out of their sense of complacency that they are somehow immune from the statutes the rest of us ‘little people’ must follow.

The proper application of the law to any of our oligarchy regardless of party is something I approve of. One factor that has to be honestly accounted for, however, is what contingency plans the enemy has. We are creating a legal threat to the Leftist regime while they are actively trying to overthrow the Constitutional order. Unlike a proper military plan, politicians do not do contingencies and rely on hope and favorable assumptions. We cannot be sure that the administration is ready for such.

IF the Left begins to believe that they could be thwarted and indeed punished according to the law; they may move to a fallback position. That fallback position may include an overthrow of our Constitutional order and a seizure of power. We have to try to work within the legal system at least at the beginning, but we must be prepared for the possibility that the enemy which has been trying to destroy it has no intention of doing so.

There are rumors that I am not a nice person. Probably true. But I try to be a pragmatic one.

The leftists may be confused about what constitutes ‘seizing/controlling’ the reins of power. They probably believe it means ‘capture DC’ In reality the true power is widely dispersed in, with and among ‘We the People’. The authority of the gov’t rests upon the willing consent of the governed and if ‘We the People’ not only decline to grant consent but actively seek replacement then the trappings of power, possession of the marbled corridors of DC don’t mean jack. The d/prog of today ain’t built for conflict. Sure they’ll LARP as protesters or antifa in a low risk environment where the opposing force (LEO) is overly constrained with foolishly passive RoE and where they can go home each day and eat hot pockets/play video games. I don’t see them adapting very well to the grueling pace and deprivation of a sustained kinetic conflict with a ruthless opponent who doesn’t have their hands tied operationally. Then there’s the fact the wokiesta leftists are largely concentrated in particular cities which makes using a siege/blockade very viable, especially in a world dependent on electricity and just in time delivery supply chains.

I sincerely hope the d/prog don’t believe their interests would be best served by plunging the Nation into a civil war. That would be a horrific outcome that should be avoided if at all possible. It would get out of hand quickly as old scores are settled in the chaos and confusion and that’s the least of it. Far better to seek to avoid that if possible but if not then the one constant through line of history re civil wars is be sure to win, nothing else matters but victory.

Nice thought, but not gonna happen. I’ll take the perps on page 547 as a warning to those on page 1 that retribution is coming.

We may not be able to jail all of the traitors, but we can break them spiritually and financially.

High profile arrest of a Republican before any D’s is better optics; “SEE? Nobody is above the law.”

henrybowman in reply to Peter Moss. | August 22, 2025 at 1:40 pm

Yeah… my first reaction was, “Of all the people they could have started with, why him?”
Bolton was a minor hero during the W administration for keeping the USA out of the UN Small Arms Treaty. Sad to learn now about his feet.

Joe-dallas in reply to Peter Moss. | August 22, 2025 at 2:50 pm

Peter Moss is Correct with his comment on bolton being 547 on the list. Maybe not 547 but far lower than quite a few others.

Quite a few intelligence agents, state department employees and other government offficials have leaked classified data for partisan purposes.

JackinSilverSpring | August 22, 2025 at 8:32 am

I objected to these early morning raids on non-violent individuals when done against Trump supporters, and I must object to this raid. There is no reason why, if the FBI wants to search a non-violent person’s home, the FBI can’t wait until business hours to knock on the door, show the search warrant and then search the home. Basically, there is no reason for the FBI to act like thugs when dealing with non-violent individuals.

Object all you want. Democrats established this as the new normal, we are following precedent.

Not just classified materials, they raided DOZENS of Jan 6ers lying about them being ‘violent’, and of course Trump himself.

We are THROUGH playing this game of ‘Republicans are required to follow rules Democrats freely wipe their asses with because principles’.

We are going to have ONE set of rules.

Your sentiments are not unreasonable nor are they unworthy.
But these people were told, over and over again, that they would not like playing by their own rules. So here we are.
Political operatives who break the law by stealing classified documents should be made to feel the same pain any of us “average people” would feel had we done the same thing.

      JackinSilverSpring in reply to steves59. | August 22, 2025 at 10:20 am

We, the average people, should not be exposed to such thuggery, and neither should non-violent suspects who are not average people. At some point, homeowners with guns will mistake what’s going on at 7 in the morning and start shooting. This will put everyone at risk. There is no need for that, nor for the embarrassment that comes with such raids.

I agree with JackinSilverSpring. I detest Bolton. I believe he was a backstabbing congenital leaker who leaked even more than Bannon. Bolton was and is a disgrace. But I loathe these raids. If you’re hunting for John Dillinger, maybe all right. Heavily-armed agents in big black cars sneaking up on you in the wee hours is wrong when you are an ordinary citizen. Patel is weird. I wonder about him.

    while in general agreement

the facts are that the left has declared war on those who love capitalism aka freedom

no wars are won at the debate table ( including djt>putin>Z right now)

they are only won when the population of both sides scream ENOUGH

currently the maga crowd is still on the loosing end

when criminals see weakness THEY POUNCE

that does NOT MAKE US CRIMINAL when attempting to stop the lefts agenda

sure, they say the same about us

but the PROOF is there for all to see

The left strives hard FOR THEMSELVES TO ENJOY THAT CAPITALISM

how many freedom loving capitalists IMPOSE SOCIALISM ONTO THEMSELVES!!!??

I would have been with you 8 years ago but today. Nah. F88k that! Democrats started this so it is high time they started having the same rules applied to them that they’ve been applying to conservatives ever since Trump denied them when he won his first term.

    AF_Chief_Master_Sgt in reply to JackinSilverSpring. | August 22, 2025 at 11:23 am

    I disagree. What’s good for the goose…

When the left feels the strain of the world they have created, then and only then will they think twice about doing it ever again.

As I’ve mentioned before, that’s what game theory says. If you want your opponent to stop behaving badly, you behave the same way. As soon as your opponent realizes he has lost any advantage created by his own bad behavior he will then begin to play nice. When you play nice in the face of bad behavior, your opponent has no incentive to return to fair play.

henrybowman in reply to JackinSilverSpring. | August 22, 2025 at 1:42 pm

    I object to them, too.
But I’m no longer going to insist we limit ourselves to knives in a gunfight.

Good.

Early morning raids over classified material.

Enjoy the new normal, Democrats and RINOs.

Now do Schiff, Cheney, Swallwell and Kizinger.

CommoChief in reply to Olinser. | August 22, 2025 at 9:44 am

Agreed. No whining about FBI search warrants for classified info from folks who almost certainly posses the classified info b/c they used in a dang book they wrote.

THIS IS TERRIBLE. Breitbart should have been informed to take video.

I agree .. Schiff, Cheney, Swallwell
Hillary, Obama, Pence
Bolton is nice … but there are
bigger fish to fry …

    The_Mew_Cat in reply to jqusnr. | August 22, 2025 at 1:26 pm

If Bolton was stupid enough to retain anything, you can be sure the others on your list will get the message.

I hate this, but the Democrats went full Banana Republic against Trump during the last four years. In his first term, he declined to go after Hillary for her misdeeds and that merely encouraged them to go farther.

I think that there must be blood on the floor; the Democrats must come to realize that some games are too dangerous to play and there is only one way they will learn. They must be taught through consequences.

Bolton is an easy choice for a first example and a warning: no one on either side of the aisle likes or trusts. him. I would hope that Adam Schiff might be next.

Ultimately I would imagine that the goal will be a truce and a return to civilized norms, but not yet, not yet.

    AF_Chief_Master_Sgt in reply to Hodge. | August 22, 2025 at 11:34 am

I won’t accept a truce until quite a few people are financially and emotionally broken to the tune of millions of dollars.

dont know how they are going to piece together all the shredded documents

There were pics of Iranians taping strips of shredded documents together after the Ayatollahs took over the country and raided the US embassy in Tehran. There’s no way to know what information their patience might have given them back then.
    .

DaveGinOly in reply to DSHornet. | August 22, 2025 at 12:30 pm

I recall that the grunt work of putting the shreds back together was given to female university students and remember videos of them working in their hijabs, with the strips laid out on the floor of a large room.

    The_Mew_Cat in reply to destroycommunism. | August 22, 2025 at 1:24 pm

Proper destruction requires that the shreddings be burned. Bolton’s palatial house certainly has fireplaces. This is a guy who knows how to properly destroy information, both physical and digital. Was he too arrogant to do so? We may find out.

henrybowman in reply to destroycommunism. | August 22, 2025 at 7:47 pm

I think the DOJ storeroom still has a jar of the magic adhesive from Fawn Hall’s panties.

Good to see and I hope it’s the first of many. Break him and put in a hole for 5-10 years.

Not a good move! There should have been MANY OTHERS happening at the same time! Now the other “usual suspects” will know they better ACT quickly!
One “investigation” that surely needs to be REOPENED or just DONE should be the biden boxes of stolen documents!
John’s self importance is not covered by the usual DEMOcrat privilege – he might even be arrested and charged! BUT, given who he is, he’ll rat out the others! Better keep an eye out for the “Friends of the hilLIARry”!

destroycommunism | August 22, 2025 at 10:51 am

the waco raids>>>Clinton admin could have captured the guy they wanted as they knew he went to the post office every tuesday ( or whatever it was)

instead they opted to do full on military “training” on his home murdering allll those innocent people

DaveGinOly in reply to destroycommunism. | August 22, 2025 at 12:33 pm

The local sheriff said Koresh was known to leave his compound every day, out for a run, and could have been arrested at any time. The tactics used in that raid flew in the teeth of established protocol – if possible, isolate your target away from family and friends. In front of family and friends, a target is more dangerous because he may resist in order to “save face” with his friends and relatives. Also, the friends and relatives may interfere in the arrest. Assaulting a compound full of family and friends was never a good idea, and the feds knew it.

I can hear document shredders running in several DC households all the way from Florida.

E Howard Hunt | August 22, 2025 at 11:03 am

I wish the revenge could be exacted in a classier manner than that deployed by the Democrats. This banana republic vibe is beginning to feel permanent.

This is not good. Going after Bolton for classified docs used in a 2020 book means that the clock is running out on the statute of limitations. The Trump DOJ and FBI is under a lot of pressure from the voters to get revenge and if Bolton running out the clock is all they have… then it’s not hopeful they can get a criminal conviction against anyone in the Obama-Biden-Clinton circle.

Unsure of that. *Use* of classified documents is nearing the statute of limitations, but *possession* of classified documents is an ongoing thing. If he was dumb enough to hold onto those documents instead of feeding a shredder…

Was the FBI authorized to use lethal force for the raid as they were with Mar-a-Largo raid? The anti-Trump camp will say the authorization was SOP, nothing special for Trump. Not true. Documents unsealed by Judge Aileen Cannon in 2024 reveal FBI plans to use lethal force should Trump show up with the SS. More to the point, if one or all of Obama’s mansions should get raided, would the same rules of engagement apply as in “Plasmic Echo?” Of course any such action against Obama would be unthinkable as he had a Kenyon father, which provides a general immunization with unlimited scope. Such is the state of racial politics in the the 21st Century. All the pols are frightened by the prospect of riots should any action be taken against the deified Obama. Even Trump.

In response to those who think Trump and the Republicans should not use the tactics normalized by the Democrats, I ask: would you get into the ring and obey the Marquess of Queensberry rules when you know your adversary won’t? Of course not. You would get severely injured and lose. Either stay out of the ring or reply in kind. This gentlemanly behavior is merely an excuse for cowardice.

    ____________________________________________________________________

don’t believe any judicial action will be necessary–cracks are beginning to appear in that deified facade–specifically whistleblowers and patels determined actions (so far)

the deep state (and particularly the a-list actors in this country and otherwise)) are not going to allow anyone, deified or not, to take them down, to get them locked up

he has ceased to be an asset and has instead become their #1 liability

Bolton was under investigation for a long time, and he certainly knew it. If he was stupid enough to still have any classified in his possession, he deserves whatever he gets. He literally had years to destroy any evidence, and he certainly knows how to wipe computer hard drives..

    Gremlin1974 in reply to The_Mew_Cat. | August 22, 2025 at 6:00 pm

One thing I have learned from the left is never ever underestimate their ego’s or sense of entitlement. They literally think they can’t be caught or prosecuted. Also, never underestimate how brain dead they can be.

It would not surprise me at all if all of the evidence was still right there. Why destroy it if you think your untouchable.

The Democrats Propaganda Ministry and insiders at DOJon there side why would they think they would ever have to answer? As well as thinking they wouldn’t ever lose the government power.
Bet many wish they wouldn’t have stolen 2020, they could have controlled Trump from underneath again.

Why, Hello Shoe! Welcome to the other foot!

I am eagerly awaiting the public release of the search warrant. I suspect this situation goes beyond John Bolton’s book or his animosity towards Trump.

Taking classified U.S. government documents home is one offense. However, it becomes a much more serious felony if someone sells that classified material to foreign nationals for profit.

This was a test run, a weather balloon.

I’m assuming Trump and Co. are 2-3 steps ahead, as they have been on so many issues thus far this go-round.

We’ll see.
