Biden Claims European Leaders Are Reaching Out, Asking Him to ‘Engage’

Biden Claims European Leaders Are Reaching Out, Asking Him to ‘Engage’

“Many of the things I worked so damn hard [on], that I thought I changed in the country, are changing so rapidly.”

Former President Joe Biden was the keynote speaker at a conference for the Society for Human Resource Management, an HR trade organization, in San Diego, California, on Wednesday. Biden’s remarks to the group of roughly 20,000 HR professionals lasted for more than an hour. The speech itself was unremarkable. He is still capable of reading from a teleprompter.

It was during the Q&A session with SHRM President Johnny C. Taylor Jr., afterward that things went downhill. Speaking in his now-familiar subdued and slightly slurred manner, he made several striking — and questionable — statements.

Biden expressed frustration that some of the most significant accomplishments of his presidency had been reversed by the Trump administration.

Biden told the group, “Many of the things I worked so damn hard [on], that I thought I changed in the country, are changing so rapidly.”

First, Biden himself was incapable of working “so damn hard” on anything. But the small, unelected group of progressives surrounding him was both willing and able to act in his stead. The policies they advanced on his behalf set America on a path of decline. Another four years under either Biden or former Vice President Kamala Harris would have cemented those policies.

There is a reason why President Donald Trump won a decisive victory last November: a majority of Americans wanted to see the damage his administration inflicted on the country reversed. From his first day in office, Trump set out to do exactly that.

Biden’s next claim was pure delusion. Since leaving office in January, he said, European leaders have reached out to him for advice. He noted that “a number” of them would like to see him “get engaged” in politics again.

“How can you just walk away?” Biden asked. “You don’t see me out there publicly doing a lot of this. But I’m also dealing with a lot of Democrats and Republican colleagues, all of them, wanting to talk, not because they think I have the answer, just to bounce things off me. I’m seeing a lot of officeholders. … I’m not looking for them. They asked to see me, I see them.”

“I stayed engaged because I really cared about what I was doing,” he said.

“We strengthened NATO in a significant way,” he explained. “I’m getting calls — I’m not going to go into it, I can’t — from a number of European leaders asking me to get engaged.

“I’m not,” he said. “But I’m giving advice.”

As I recall, the last time Biden was among European leaders, they were seen guiding him back to the group after he’d wandered off.

The Wall Street Journal reported that while Biden never mentioned Trump by name, he warned about the dangers of the U.S. stepping back from global leadership and highlighted his administration’s efforts to strengthen NATO. He repeated his worn out talking point that NATO had been “in shambles” when he took office.

Taylor asked Biden what he would most like to be remembered for. He replied, “Being a good father.”

He boasted, “Every single day, I contact every single one of my grandchildren.”

Taylor didn’t ask him if that included Hunter’s youngest daughter, Navy Roberts.

The Daily Beast reached out to the White House for a comment on Biden’s remarks. Spokesperson Anna Kelly replied with the following statement:

Absolutely no one is calling Joe Biden for advice because his disastrous foreign policy left America weaker than ever before. Thanks to President Trump, NATO allies have made a historic five percent defense spending pledge, Iran’s nuclear capabilities are obliterated, and our country’s standing on the world stage is restored.

Whether Biden received his reported $300,000 asking price for public speeches remained unclear.

“So many European leaders are reaching out to me. You know, like that dago lady did, the one dressed in pink..”

Yeah, I believe that. No, really, I believe that. If Biden says it, it’s true. His word as a Biden is rock solid with me. Good as gold.

“Malarkey? That’s just another word for ‘bullshit’ isn’t it?”

He finally has time to be a grandpa to Hunters love child.

Two toddlers in diapers. What a pair.

How is Hunter’s art business going?

The trivia question of who came in the middle of Trump’s two terms quickly fades into obscurity, except when it comes to news of infamy.

Combine three parts of pathological liar plus two parts of senile old fool and what do you get?

Five parts of the worst president in my lifetime (maybe in history).

He may be asked to engage, but I believe the clutch is slipping.

I can think of many things that I’d like to “bounce” off of him. Words are not one of them, and I doubt many of those things would be capable of bouncing.

Did they thank the Big Guy for doing so much to get DJT elected?

Leaders everywhere want to know what Joe thinks, and they should. BECAUSE then they can do the opposite and be correct.

Re: “Many of the things I worked so damn hard [on], that I thought I changed in the country, are changing so rapidly.”

Thank God, given that I think that his open borders policy was his most consequential, with long lasting effects. We will be paying the tab – for problems in crime, drugs, health care, housing, education, potential terrorism, etc – for decades, even if Trump manages to get some of the worst illegas out.

Keeping in mind the value of executive orders as opposed to real legislation. At least bad ones can be undone.

I can believe that many European and other foreign leaders want Biden back. They loved having a patsy who was easy to manipulate.

Elizabeth,By ‘damage’ do you mean record job creation? Low unemployment? Booming Dow? Solid GDP? Biggest deficit reduction in history? Inflation ( never his fault in the first place) under control? Record domestic oil production?

Oh waaaaaait. I forgot . Border border border border border border border border border border border border . Mexicans are sending rapists and poisoning our blood and Haitians are eating pets. Trump won because of racism. PERIOD. THE END.

It’s nice to know that Biden is speaking to many European leaders. Unfortunately it’s just voices in his head. Why does Jill allow this dementia patient to appear in public? Oh yeah, that’s right, they need the 20k he gets for an appearance. Times are tough for the Biden crime family.

.Why does Jill allow this dementia patient to appear in public?

Jill desperately needs the money as the whole Biden Crime Family Syndicate money making scheme collapsed when Joe finally declared he wasn’t running for a second presidential term of office.

Who cares? Biden isn’t even a has been. He’s a never was or could have been.

Ex-Prez Joey Bananas to HR group (none of whom would hire him): “I’m getting calls … from a number of European leaders asking me to get engaged.”

Yeah – Queen Victoria, Napoleon Bonaparte, Archduke Ferdinand … it’s a long list ….

“…he [Biden] warned about the dangers of the U.S. stepping back from global leadership and highlighted his administration’s efforts to strengthen NATO.” I think Joe is just miffed that he didn’t get called “daddy” at a NATO conference.

I would say Biden is a legend in his own mind but he would need to have a mind to begin with.

Now Joe, are those European leaders in the room with us now?

If NATO sticks to the promise they made to Trump and pony up more money for their own defense, NATO it will be in better shape than at the end of the Biden administration even if the US leaves NATO.

Name them. I double dog dare ya to name them all. Name all those democrats and republicans colleagues that want to talk to you.

Face it Joe, nobody wants to talk to you. Nobody wants you to stay “engaged”. They’d all prefer that you just disappear so that they can pretend that your disastrous four year regime never happened.

Whether Biden received his reported $300,000 asking price for public speeches remained unclear.

I’m more than sure that Jill made darn sure that the $300K was deposited, in cash, in one of their many bank accounts before he showed up for his speech.

Perhaps they were asking about the favors that they paid for. I went to Goodwill today and none of Hunter’s paintings have shown up in the 99 cent bin, yet.

looks like dr. jill is still writing the script……..”worked so damned hard”. Yeah right.

I have no doubt these calls happened, with a mixture of reasons:
1. Curiosity to see if he’s as senile as they’ve been told.
2. Mindless platitudes to keep on his good side. “Yes, we loved you in office, you’re fantastic, best President ever.”
3. Quiet inquiries to see if the favors these leaders paid for and received are going to be used as evidence against them.

They all know he’s (thankfully) out of the driver’s seat. But he can do *immense* damage to foreign leaders with misrememberings blathered to the tv cameras or interviews. Say for example he recounts (name of leader) saying they should have nuked (name of country) when (historical event happened) and that gets out. The opposition of (name of leader) would go off the edge, the media would frantically cover in a way that would drive up their ratings and blame Trump, and he’d wander off to the next open microphone with his mouth open. I’m amazed his minders let him talk to *anybody* let alone a stage with an uncensored microphone.
