Window Smashed at Kosher Grocery in Brookline (MA) by Brick With ‘Free Palestine’ Written on It

A Kosher grocery store in Brookline, Massachusetts, had one of their front windows smashed over the weekend by someone who threw a brick bearing the message of ‘Free Palestine.’
Democrats and the media spend every day comparing Trump to Hitler, but if we want to get specific, this is an example of what happened during Kristallnacht in Germany in 1938.
The real antisemitism is coming from the radical left, and this is just one incident of many.

Kosher Brookline grocery window smashed by brick with pro-Palestine message: police
A masked person threw a brick with a pro-Palestinian message through the window of a kosher grocery store in Brookline, Massachusetts, early Sunday morning, police said.
The Butcherie’s owner reported the incident to Brookline police on Sunday, the department said.
Investigators found that a group of at least two people, wearing masks, turned from Coolidge Street onto Harvard Street and threw the brick through the window, according to police. Written on the brick, in large red letters, was the phrase, “Free Palestine.”
The exterior of the smashed window showed a map of Israel and its wineries.
The people ran back onto Coolidge Street and haven’t been located, police said, noting that no other businesses appeared to have been targeted.
Kassy Akiva of the Daily Wire has more:
Surveillance footage obtained by The Daily Wire shows a group of masked vandals behind and beside the store before one of them runs up and hurls a brick through a map displaying winery locations in Israel. The group quickly ran away down the street. Police are investigating the incident, but no one has been apprehended.
“There is a non-political statement here. This is a map of Israel with all the best wines that Israel has to offer,” Zilberberg said. “This is just a pure hate crime.”
One of the grocery store’s employees found the brick and shattered glass when coming to open the store Sunday morning.
The 54-year-old store is the only kosher grocery in the Boston area and has been in Zilberberg’s family since his grandfather opened it in 1971.

Here’s hoping authorities catch the person responsible for this and make an example out of him.

There is plenty of antisemitism from the hard right. Wanna see? Just go to zerohedge and look at the comment section. In numbers though the progressive left and not just the radical left has fully embraced antisemitism. This is driven by the bogus theory of intersectionalism and their believes that Jews are white oppressors while arabs are brown oppressed. This ignores essentially facts that Jews are all shades of color while arabs have 22 nation states at present as part of islam’s 57 states, arabs also come in many shades and of course iranians are not arabs but are aryans and white or whiter as any of the elite progressive left.
I don’t disagree, but, the distinction that you should underscore if you’re appraising the situation in the two parties is that Jew-hate on the right is strictly a fringe phenomenon, staunchly rejected by every GOP leader, whereas Jew-hate on the left — masked as alleged “anti-Zionism” or “criticism of Israel/Netanyahu”) is unabashedly and manifestly a mainstream tenet of the contemporary Dhimmi-crat Party, trumpeted and embraced by the Party’s most prominent and celebrated apparatchiks (e.g., Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Keith Ellison, Occasional-Cortex; etc.
The Dhimmi-crat Party’s apparatchiks and apparatus gleefully whitewash, rationalize and enable Jew-hate and anti-Israel vilification/slanders, whereas the GOP leadership does not.

This is indeed the key distinction. It’s not as true now as it was 10 years ago. There was a time when any antisemites in the Republican Party were careful to keep it quiet, because they knew if it became known they would become persona non grata anywhere in the party. Even Pat Buchanan kept up plausible deniability until he left the party. The last known antisemite I can remember who rose to prominence in the GOP was James Baker. But now we have Tucker Carlson, who’s taken the mask off and yet hasn’t been frozen out of the party. Candace Owens hasn’t been shunned. And it’s getting hard to keep making excuses even for the otherwise excellent Thomas Massie.
Whereas in the Democrat Party, even when antisemites were a small minority they were never shunned, and were welcome at the highest levels. An Al Sharpton in the GOP would not have been able to show his face at a party convention; if he dared he would have been evicted and warned that if he came back he’d be arrested for trespassing. But at Dem conventions he always had a very honorable seat, and leaders from all factions would line up to kiss his ring.
And now it’s got so much worse than that. Antisemites are still a minority among Dems, but not by nearly the margin they used to be, and they might not remain a minority for long. So that’s the key difference.

The “squad” aren’t part of riots either. But they’re certainly antisemites. And the same is true of some people not just on the “hard right” but even in the mainstream of the GOP.

The true absurdity of this story is the reprobates who threw the brick think that anything positive can come from this act of terrorism. These are the exact same actions of the Brown Shirts in 1920-30’s Nazi Germany. It’s time to root them out and shut them down!

Um, it clearly is seen as a hate crime. No one suggests otherwise. In the very unlikely event that the perpetrator is ever caught, whatever criminal charges they face will surely be charged as hate crimes.

What a cheap, easy and guaranteed way for the perpetrators to get attention. Rather than news crews, national feeds, candle light marches etc, just ignore it and put in an insurance claim. This coverage encourages copycats, including simple adolescents seeking only excitement.

Yes, of course the statement in the window was non-political, exactly as the article states. A map of Israel should not be regarded a political statement, any more than a map of the USA or of Mexico. But nowadays that is political.
My reference was to the message on the brick but I guess applies to the map of Israel being smashed. Israel is a political construct but I don’t think that was the message although destroying it and it’s boundaries could be.
