Sen. Padilla Dragged Out After Disrupting Noem ICE Briefing
If Democrats think scenes like this, heckling press conferences, and dodging responsibility for the fallout are helping their cause, they may be in for a rude awakening.

A U.S. Senator was forcibly escorted out of a Los Angeles press conference after attempting to confront Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem during her remarks.
Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) interrupted Noem at a briefing she convened to address the ongoing controversy surrounding ICE raids that have sparked unrest across Southern California for nearly a week.

Despite the senator’s outburst, according to KLTA5, Noem continued speaking:
“We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate this city from the socialist and the burdensome leadership that this governor and mayor have placed on this country and what they’ve tried to insert in this city,” she said, raising her voice toward the end to speak over the protests of Padilla.
NBC Los Angeles reported the reason for the removal:
Noem was speaking in Los Angeles about recent ICE operations in the region when Padilla was removed from the room after saying, “You insist on exaggerating.” At least two men approached Padilla, a Democrat, near a wall and removed him through doors near the rear of the room.
Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass condemned Padilla’s removal despite his childish outburst:
“This is outrageous, dictatorial, and shameful,” Newsom said on social media. “Trump and his shock troops are out of control. This must end now.”
Bass also expressed her support.
“What just happened to [Padilla] is absolutely abhorrent and outrageous,” she wrote on social media. “He is a sitting United States Senator. This administration’s violent attacks on our city must end.”
After the spectacle, Padilla’s office released a statement claiming the senator was handcuffed but not detained, and said they are awaiting further information:

DHS’s official X account also released a statement saying that the Senator “lunged” at Secretary Noem:
Senator Padilla chose disrespectful political theatre and interrupted a live press conference without identifying himself or having his Senate security pin on as he lunged toward Secretary Noem.

Padilla’s office also provided its footage to the media, which shows the takedown outside in the hallway and the moment he is handcuffed:

Noem, for her part, handled the interruption with composure and even promised to call Padilla after the conference despite his behavior.
If Democrats think scenes like this, heckling press conferences, and dodging responsibility for the fallout are helping their cause, they may be in for a rude awakening. As tensions rise and communities demand accountability, political theater won’t cut it.

Senator temper tantrum needs a time out and no dessert tonight.
he should get a modeling fee for starring in a ’26 GOP campaign ad
Numbnuts narrative of what happened fell apart immediately when film showed up. How he thought it would fly with a televised press conference and all those cameras is a mystery. Dude is unhinged and juvenile which pretty much describes the rest of the antics of the Dems as of late. From Auntie Maxine showing up at a building she knew she wouldn’t get in to the Dem now charged up in NJ to that fool screaming obscenities on the Floor of the House not to mention the circus hearings on Capitol Hill the Dems are out of control and show why they should not be let near the reigns of power until adults are back in charge of their party.

“With regard to the incident in LA this afternoon, the Senator in question was not wearing a security pin and physically resisted law enforcement when confronted. Our FBI personnel acted completely appropriately while assisting Secret Service and we are grateful for their professionalism and service.”
“the Senator in question was not wearing a security pin”
That’s the one they install through his ankles, right?
I am so glad that Dan B finally did something.
He wrote a scathing X tweet!
Sheesh.
Jesus, everyone is sorry the administration isn’t doing everything you want immediately. It’s a big job to try and clean up decades of corruption. Give it a friggen rest, will ya?
What happened:
“He barged his way into the room, interrupting a live press conference without identifying himself or having his Senate security pin. Being very disrespectful, he shouted and lunged toward Secretary Noem.”
Reported this way:
“He was listening to Secretary Noem’s news conference. When he tried to ask the Secretary a question, he was forcibly removed by federal agents forced to the ground and handcuffed.”
Yes. The lying hack did all you say, then had the unmitigated gall to insist, against video evidence, that he was just innocently asking a question—in his capacity as a senator. Sure, don’t they always show up sort of incognito and pretend to lunge at a government official? Nothing going on here except a little Democrat Propaganda Theater.
I hope there were cameras inside the briefing room. Showing him lunging would be gold.
There were. The clown was next door for a briefing, learned Noem was giving a press briefing and decided to crash it with camera’s in tow. He pushed into the door and start yelling stuff, security immediately stopped him and tried to get him out and he then turned and kept trying to get to Noem at which point they dragged him out. He kept it up and they put him on the floor, got out the cuffs and only then did he identify himself as a Senator. Before he could get off the floor Democrats were running the video on their websites and putting up X posts on it. Padilla then went outside and stepped up to a prepositioned podium and whined for a bit. When Noem found out who he was, she got hold of him and they sat down for a 15 min talk in private and that was that. He clearly wanted his “Spartacus” moment and engineered it. Now that the film and narrative of what really happened is everywhere the guy looks like a clown.
Not quite there yet but another Dem crosses the line….
Wiki..”The caning of Charles Sumner, or the Brooks–Sumner Affair, occurred on Thursday, May 22, 1856, in the United States Senate chamber, when Representative Preston Brooks, a pro-slavery Democrat from South Carolina, used a walking cane to attack Senator Charles Sumner, an abolitionist Republican from Massachusetts. ”
Sen. Padilla (D-Thug_El Norte) is a defender of criminals…. well…professional courtesy.
In all fairness, Brooks’ issue was that Sumner had libeled his cousin and his state in a speech.
Neil Kumar, a 2022 Republican candidate for the US House from Arkansas, named Brooks as the representative he most idolized.
I read that Btooks tried it with some other senator, who agreed to a duel. Brooks became medically unable to fight shortly afterwards.
Every democrat striving to get their revolutionary credits without actually being a revolutionary and getting themselves shot.
Just need them removed from their seats, and lose their voting ability.
I hope he was frisked (“officer safety” you know) and that his “Senate security pin” was found on him. This would be evidence that he didn’t simply “forget” his pin, but that he purposefully removed it in order to cause alarm and make his theatrics more dramatic, knowing the reaction his acts would elicit. I’d not be surprised to learn that his own security detail has reacted in this same way to somebody approaching him aggressively. Such an incident would have informed him what to expect, so he would know exactly how his self-generated incident would go down.
Karen Bass should be thrown into the ocean like her namesake
Or, beaten like her namesake drum.
Or beaten like the tom tom the old Indian beat on when approached by high school student Nick Sandmann.
Good to.see the Federal LEO in the room acted swiftly to forcibly remove some Jack leg who attempted to interrupt the briefing and refused lawful commands issued to him to move away. The fact this Jack leg is a US Senator is not material to the professional manner in which he was removed, detained and eventually after successful efforts by LEO to get the jack leg to deescalate he was released from the brief detention. Hopefully the US Attorney is scouring the statutes for the most serious charge that could be sustained.
Stunts intended to create a George Floyd moment.
Four years ago, the father of a sexual assault victim in Loudoun County high school spoke at a school board meeting and was arrested and prosecuted, not for barging in and assaulting security as Padilla did. But instead, he merely raised a subject the school board didn’t like.
He was aggressively prosecuted and then convicted (at a bench trial, I believe) of disorderly conduct, a conviction that stood until Glenn Youngkin pardoned him when he came into office. The media didn’t have anything to say about that incident and prosecutorial overreach. Bondi should throw the book at Padilla. Make the left live the rules they’ve established.
Clowns, thieves and subversive fifth columnists.
That’s the vile, stupid and evil Dhimmi-crat apparatchiks, in a nutshell.
Still not as dangerous as Jan 6…./sarc
it worked on the college campuses
so cant blame him for giving it a try
he just wants his peeps to know that they must do the same
stop lefty>>>re-gain freedoms
Deport him. He looks like a prehistoric fish.
Al Ichthyasaurus
The Senator from Easter Island.
Well he needs to be censured in the well of the Senate. And then stripped of all committee assignments. FAFO
Except jackwad Democrats control the Senate, and Chuck the Schmuck has already been doing his part in Democrat Propaganda Theater by crying for the Demo-jerk and deploring the LEOs guarding Sec. Noem.
Does he not Know that his fellow marxists will toss him aside like an old banana once his useful theatrical “”” cAreer is over ?”’
Didn’t this guy play for the Yankees?
I think he plays for Mexico.
Padilla is twice the size of the midget who pushed him out of the room, which makes Padilla look awfully foolish. Security acted swiftly when Padilla seemed to present a danger to Kristi Noem.. The Senator pulled a clownish stunt.
Okay which is the next Democratic senator to do something stupid to gain attention? Any guesses?
“Noem was speaking in Los Angeles about recent ICE operations in the region when Padilla was removed from the room after saying, “You insist on exaggerating.”
When a representative of the “white supremacist” deplorables who are “the most dangerous threat” to the domestic security of the United States is talking, you best keep your filthy mouth shut, Padilla.
When he needed to be physically restrained, too bad nobody had a baton in hand.
A wooden shampoo might have adjusted his attitude for the better.
Apparently, the Senator and his loyal minions don’t know what the words “press conference” mean.
Padilla was appointed by newsom because he was hispanic. lol
The Senator also needed a little night stick for his resistance.
Nah start with pepper spray and that’s 9/10 gonna end the idiocy. If not then apply taser and if that doesn’t work then compliance strikes from a baton to gain complete submission and total compliance with LEO commands. Repeat as required if/when the subject becomes the least bit disruptive or refuses remain submissive. As many times as it takes. Start doing that within a basic framework that they either comply and willingly walk where/how the LEO direct them or they will be lifted and carried….but only by EMS onto a stretcher into an ambulance. I suspect if we did that we’d see a dramatic decrease in the willingness to resist, fight or refuse lawful commands.
This was all planned by Padilla to cause an issue and make himself the center of being put down. The Senator could have identified clearly who he was, made a request for talking to the Secretary of DHS and then talked to her, but there would not be the issues and MSM making him a big center of the day (or BS as most normal people can see it).
So a protestor tried to disrupt an official act of government. What’s the word for that?
