Kash Patel Declassifies Report Alleging China Mass-Produced Fake US IDs to Influence 2020 Election
Around the same time the FBI received this information, U.S. Customs and Border Protection intercepted nearly 20,000 counterfeit U.S. driver’s licenses.
FBI Director Kash Patel submitted newly declassified intelligence to Congress on Monday night, alleging that China mass-produced counterfeit U.S. driver’s licenses intended to validate fraudulent mail-in ballots during the 2020 election cycle, according to Just the News’ editor John Solomon. The confidential source who provided this information to the FBI claimed this operation was intended to help former President Joe Biden.
Sources told Solomon that the draft report, dated August 2020, had only been “partially corroborated” because it was “recalled from intelligence agencies” before a full investigation could be completed. Notably, Solomon pointed out that the report was withdrawn around the same time then-FBI Director Christopher Wray testified that there were “no known plots of foreign interference” ahead of the 2020 election.
The report was delivered to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), who had previously raised concerns with the FBI regarding the intelligence. According to Solomon, Grassley’s warnings were dismissed by agency officials—despite the existence of evidence pointing to the production of fake driver’s licenses.
As you may recall, Grassley and Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) were actively investigating Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings during the summer of 2020, including connections to Chinese nationals tied to the Chinese Communist Party. Their findings were detailed in a comprehensive report released in late September 2020. In response, Senate Democrats issued a rebuttal, claiming the Grassley-Johnson report had “amplified Russian disinformation.”
In a statement to Just the News, Patel said:
Thanks to the oversight work and partnership of Chairman Grassley, the FBI continues to provide unprecedented transparency at the people’s Bureau. To that end, we have located documents Chairman Grassley requested, which detail alarming allegations related to the 2020 U.S. election.
Specifically, these include allegations of plans from the CCP to manufacture fake driver’s licenses and ship them into the United States for the purpose of facilitating fraudulent mail-in ballots – allegations which, while substantiated, were abruptly recalled and never disclosed to the public.
In accordance with Chairman Grassley’s request for documents, I have immediately declassified the material and turned the document over to the Chairman for further review.
Officials familiar with the documents told Solomon that the FBI recalled the report in order to “re-interview” the “relatively new confidential source” who had originally provided the intelligence.
They also noted that around the same time the FBI received this information, U.S. Customs and Border Protection intercepted nearly 20,000 counterfeit U.S. driver’s licenses.
A seizure of that magnitude is hardly routine. So the question remains: why didn’t the FBI immediately reopen the investigation?
The FBI threw its full weight behind Biden in 2020, just as it had done for Hillary Clinton in 2016. Had a scheme like this been aimed at helping President Donald Trump win reelection, it would have dominated front pages nationwide.

Granted, even if the report is accurate, this operation alone wouldn’t have been enough to secure Biden’s victory. But it was hardly the only irregularity to surface during the 2020 election cycle.
The Twitter Files exposed a level of corruption few ever imagined they’d witness in America—culminating in a coordinated effort by Democrats, the FBI, Big Tech, and legacy media to sway the outcome of a U.S. presidential election.
Who can forget the infamous 2020 letter, signed by 51 former intelligence officials, suggesting the Hunter Biden laptop story bore all the “classic earmarks” of a Russian disinformation campaign—just weeks before voters went to the polls?
Adding to the scandals, whistleblowers later revealed that senior Justice Department officials slow-walked the Hunter Biden investigation, in some cases delaying it so long that key charges were lost to expired statutes of limitations.
Democrats also found other ways to interfere in the electoral process. According to the Constitution, changes in election law must be ratified by state legislatures. Ahead of the 2020 election, however, the secretaries of state in crucial battleground states bypassed the legislatures entirely and changed rules pertaining to signature requirements and collection procedures for mail-in ballots in the name of the pandemic.
One need not believe every allegation of election interference, Dominion machine corruption, or late-night ballot box stuffing floated by Trump supporters to recognize that some of our most powerful institutions deliberately coordinated with each other to remove him from office.
Considering the startling number of so-called “conspiracy theories” that have been proven true in the years since, the outcome of the 2020 election will always be surrounded by doubt.

I have no information nor an opinion on whether the ID’s facilitated fraudelant voters. Just noting that the 2020 voter totals were about 5m-7m more than both 2016 and 2024
No, they weren’t. the 2024 total was only 1.66 million lower than 2020.
A total of 156,766,239 ballots were counted in 2024, compared to 158,429,631 in 2020. In 2016 the total was 136,669,276. (Note: I couldn’t find the same document for 2024; given the publication dates for the 2016 and 2020 documents, the 2024 one is not likely to be published until at least the end of this year, and perhaps not till the middle of next year.)
The existing documents are pretty flimsy evidence.
The more significant evidence of wrongdoing is the way the FBI cancelled the investigation, hid it from Congress and destroyed all the copies of the report. FBI Directors are running around with their fingers in their ears yelling, “I hear nothing! I hear nothing!” proves nothing but bias.

Those were not fake IDs, and had nothing to do with China. Nor did they allow anyone to vote.

There is no reason they shouldn’t get bank accounts, and a driver’s license is not necessary. But it does help, since it identifies them. What’s wrong with that?
It depends. Are these ‘Mcloven’ kind of fake ids used by high school students to get into bars? Or a step up, the looks-a-lot-more-legit kind that an illegal immigrant might use to get a job? Or as had been reported at one time, ‘duplicates’ of real people’s identities made by trolling through Instagram and other social media so when presented and verified, would check out. That’s where the real concern is. A mail-in ballot mill run by your favorite Dem could crank out votes wholesale with that kind of ID.
George, we’re not talking about the fake IDs from China here. We’re talking about the 100% genuine drivers’ licenses that some states issue to illegal immigrants who pass the same test as anyone else. Those licenses can not be used to register to vote. They’re just so the person can drive legally and buy insurance like any other driver, for as long as ICE doesn’t deport them.

Trump talks too much about “loyalty” to suppress good old fashioned competition e.g. between himself and DeSantis for the R nomination in 2024. DeSantis had no duty to give it to Trump and never, that I could see, treated Trump badly.
But Wray took Trump’s nomination and immediately turned around and spent the remaining time to sabotage him. That’s real lack of loyalty.

Here’s my question: Why bother?
Seriously, there are so many places that don’t require ID to vote (because it be raycis!) I can’t imagine what those IDs would be needed for (in terms of voting). Was it some idea that they would turn red states blue with fake IDs? Which you would have to go register to vote, anyway?
(There are other things those fake IDs could be used for that have nothing to do with elections. And I would absolutely not put it past China to do those things.)

Because they already own the places that don’t require ID to vote. Boosting the vote there does nothing for Electoral College votes, they already have them. You want to flood red states with blue votes.
It burns the hell out of me that I have to make an appointment with some DMV schmuck, with several documents to be presented, to get a Real ID so that I can fly and maybe get served one drink by an old battle axe stewardess or simpering queer steward. This country has gone to the dogs.

This too shall pass…and when Real ID has been a requirement to get through TSA, enter Federal Military installations and so on for more than 12 months and late adopters have had a year+ since Real ID went ‘live’….no more whining and no more excuses from d/prog about Real ID requirements to obtain a ballot and reconfirm voter registration.

Even if true, it doesn’t negate the fact that this is direct evidence of cheating. Therefore cheating existed, and we don’t need the election result to prove it.
We know cheating existed because cheating always exists. The Dems have been the masters of electoral cheating for over a century. It’s a given. But in 2020 the cheating ramped up to a whole new level; we know that simply because the opportunities widened, and it’s impossible that no one took advantage of that opening. The only question is whether all the cheating, taken together, actually changed the result. That we will never know.
