Iran Launches Hundreds of Ballistic Missiles At Israel (Update – Additional Missile Wave Toward Jerusalem)

Multiple waves of ballistic missiles launched towards populated areas of central Israel and Tel Aviv – most intercepted but some reportedly get through.

Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel. This is developing news and will be updated once the impact and Israeli reaction is known.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Israeli likely to continue attacking Iranian nuclear and military sites. The big question is whether Israel will take down major Iranian economic assets like oil and gas and electric generation. Iran is very, very vulnerable in these areas, and since Israel has control of the skies, it would be easy to do.

DAMAGE ASSESSMENT

It appears that there were injuries and some impacts on residential buildings. Obviously this could change as more is known.

Iran has launched another missile barrage of approximately 150 more missiles.

Taking out Iran’s hydroelectric dams and water reservoirs should be early targets. Lack of water will quickly cripple Iran. Iran’s pain must be ramped up.

    In addition, Kharg Island since it is their main export platform for the oil they’re not supposed to be selling. Also, figure out where those missiles were launched from and flatten the surrounding areas as well. Seeing how much regard the Iranians have for Israeli civilians, I wouldn’t be too careful about theirs.

    Don’t think they will target water systems, that would counter the “Iranian people” message. Don’t think they will target the oil system either, world oil prices would skyrocket, giving Europe and UN more reason to complain. But EVERY military and police site are likely to get hit.

1) as far as I have heard, Iran has only launched conventional explosives at Israel. And Israel has only launched conventional explosives at Iran. As far as the geo-strategic situation is concerned it is not so far off of the norm up to now. Most of the missiles are reported to be being intercepted, but some are getting through. Reports are [remember agit-prop is a weapon in this war] that only Tel Aviv is being hit.

2) IF Iran starts using nuclear, chemical, biological, or radiological warheads, we enter “Herman Kahn territory” and all bets can be off.

3) I find some of the things that are NOT happening to be noteworthy: (a) as of yet there is no sign of unconventional jihad from Iran. This has not been a surprise deterioration of relations. They have had literally generations for planning and preparation. (b) similarly for the rest of the Ummah, which says some things about the popularity of the Imams in the Ummah. (c) So far, there have been no reported attacks by Iran or the Ummah on the wider world of us Infidels, which in a way is telling.

4) People are starting to breath easier. That is premature. At any bloody moment the organic waste can hit the rotating airfoil from Iran and/or the rest of the Ummah. Israel and/or the rest of us Infidels could find ourselves in Herman Kahn territory. And for that matter, parts of the Infidel world [the former East Bloc] could side with Iran and/or the Ummah, complicating things with military or economic war.

    I suspect a lot of their unconventional assets are still recovering in hospitals across Lebanon.

    4. I’m not breathing easier. We finished Shabbat dinner in our reinforced room, and were responding to sirens much of Friday & Saturday night, into the wee hours. Ppl here in Israel have been killed in the attacks & there has been serious damage. B”H it is not nearly as bad as it wd be without the interceptors but nothing is 100% effective.
