DNC Elects Shasti Conrad After Ousting Hogg, Embracing Even More Identity-Based Leadership

“As the first AAPI chair in the contiguous 48 states,” DNC Chair Ken Martin said, “she is a trailblazer… deeply committed to the DNC’s mission of organizing everywhere, year round.”

Only the Democrats could finally get rid of David Hogg, just to replace him with someone even more painfully on brand for the party.

After months of drama, leaked Zoom calls, internal complaints, and an escalating generational feud, the Democratic National Committee officially closed the door on Hogg’s short-lived tenure as vice chair by handing the job to Washington State Party Chair Shasti Conrad, a progressive millennial who is already embracing the identity-first messaging that got her the job.

In a statement posted to social media, Conrad wrote

“I’m honored to serve as Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee and am deeply grateful to the members who placed their trust in me. This was the longest election in DNC history, and every vote cast reflected our shared belief in building a stronger, more inclusive Democratic Party.”

“As a millennial, I’m committed to creating more opportunities for young people to get involved and become the leaders of today – not just tomorrow. And as an AAPI leader, I’m proud to represent America’s fastest-growing voting bloc and ensure we have a seat at every table where decisions are made. I am ready to work side by side with Chair Martin and Democrats across the country to win elections and live up to the values we all share.”

Conrad won with 56% of the vote in a runoff against Kalyn Free, a longtime party activist whose procedural complaint forced the re-vote that ousted Hogg.

“This was never about Malcolm Kenyatta or David Hogg,” Free told Fox News Digital. “For me, this was about ensuring that the Democratic Party lives up to our ideals as the only political party to believe in and stand up for election integrity and a free and fair democracy.”

Hogg saw it differently. He stepped down after the re-vote, calling it a “fast-track” effort to push him out of party leadership. His real offense? Proposing to primary incumbent Democrats through his PAC, Leaders We Deserve, and demanding a greater role for young progressives in shaping the party’s future.

Meanwhile, the DNC wasted no time rallying behind Conrad’s ascension.

“As the first AAPI chair in the contiguous 48 states,” DNC Chair Ken Martin said, “she is a trailblazer… deeply committed to the DNC’s mission of organizing everywhere, year round.”

In the end, Democrats swapped out a loud Gen Z agitator for a textbook millennial progressive identity credentials, talking points, and all.

Comments

I can envision a pending shoving match at the next DNC buffet between this one and Stacey Abram’s.

Thanks, LI. Now I have a jones for some pancakes.

The Democrats are going deeper than Fordow, and look what happened there!

Oh look. The dramacrats elected another hog.

I propose that anytime a politician of any stripe uses the phrase “As an (insert marginalized group here)” they should be poked with a cattle prod.

No one other than rabid leftists care what demographic you belong to.

There are no marginalized groups in this country and there haven’t been for over 25 years. Just more drama and victim claiming.

Appalachian coal mining communities callously told to ‘learn to code’ as the economy of their areas was purposely destroyed for ‘green energy’ nonsense might have a valid claim as marginalized.

      Church goers.

In other words, another feckless femboi. A bit more chonky than Hogg, but still a femboi.

Did I miss it? What are her pronouns?

Same old shit. Boring brown Karen that only knows buzzwords and no policy.

Just learned May is AAPI month.

The words sound like she wants unity. But she wants everyone to live up to their values. Does anyone know their values? They spend our tax money; have many recipients of grift; and really get upset when people disagree with them. So, what are your values?

Talk about rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

The d/prog got serious issues. They say they want to reach out and bring young men into their coalition then throw out the young man they previously elected to replace him with this woman proudly proclaiming her ancestry as if it matters. Outside the DEI bubble it doesn’t mean jack squat especially among the demo the d/prog are shedding; men of all ages and younger folks neither of which want anything to do with the diversity olympics.

They picked a fat (*body positive*), color photo op (*diversity) woman (*representation*) that will be compliant with the old guard.

They picked a minority token* that they think will go over better than little Davey Hogg. Wonder if she’ll stay on the plantation and do as she’s told or will go off her rocker like Hogg did.

Funny. How can someone who represents less than 3% of the population hope to bring in more young male white people?

Couldn’t they find someone who had access to large donators? Since USAID was disbanded, and the gravy train derailed, the various interest groups who make up the Democratic Party need to make their own donations. The taxpayers are no longer footing the bill.

AAPI ain’t going to do it. The next presidential election will cost over $6 billion. The pillow princess spent more than $1 B in less than 60 days.

I don’t think it matters one bit who heads the Democrat Dog and Pony Show. The money will just keep on rolling in from the wealthy Soros progressives, PACs, NGOs, and leftist unions regardless, because the opinions of the rank and file are irrelevant to these players. Votes are a commodity to them that can be bought and sold as dictated by the enlightened political elites who self-assuredly know what is best, and are certain that the only opinions that matter are their own. So they will happily spend $20 million to rationalize why they are not really losing, just not messaging quite hip enough. Thank God these clowns are so clueless, and we can confidently count on them remaining so.

They’re investing heavily in the now trendy Biden Gambit.
They elected another puppet “leader” who is really a follower who will do what she is told.

That is the key here. It will do as it is told because this position is 10X better than anything that they are qualified for in the real world. She is KJP with a higher caloric intake. She is your basic tool, and in this case, one that is commonly used as a buffer between large motor yachts at the dock.

Sorry hogg you must learn your place in the dem party. You are white male. It doesn’t matter how “progressive” you are. They are looking for reason to replace you. One strike and you’re out.

As a millennial

yup…

Their first tri-gendered multi-species chair in charge of vice?

I liked her dad, William Conrad, in that show “Cannon” and, to a lesser extent, “Jake and the Fatman”.

The Democrat party is toast.

Of course they had to find a “first…” to fill that position

Democrats really love their “Firsts “

Their latest DEI hire shows they have learned nothing which is good for America. Her “I represent millinials” blast ignores the fact they are deserting the Dem party in droves and it’s people like this from a progressive bubble making it happen

OINK. ONIK. ONIK. ONIK.

Impersonating Arnold Ziffel, the pig on the TV show ‘Green Acres’.

She’s been spending too much time @ the Hog Trough……

She’s a threefer: A plus sized woman of color.
