Palm Springs Treating Explosion at Fertility Clinic as ‘Intentional Act of Violence’
Report: 1 dead, 5 injured.
Palm Springs Fire Chief Paul Alvarado described an explosion outside the American Reproductive Center as “an intentional act of violence.”
Palm Springs Mayor Ron deHarte confirmed “it was a bomb in or near a vehicle parked at the building.”
The explosion harmed “several nearby buildings, including a Desert Regional Medical Center medical office building and a liquor store.”
American Reproductive Centers is a full service center and IVF lab, the only in the Coachella Valley.
The clinic was not open at the time of the explosion.

The blast was reportedly felt more than two miles away and severely damaged the clinic and several other buildings. The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. at North Indian Canyon Drive near East Tachevah Drive, Palm Springs officials said.
Photos from the scene showed extensive damage to American Reproductive Centers, a fertility clinic and in vitro fertilization lab across the street from Desert Regional Medical Center. An office building two blocks from the blast had its windows blown out, as did a Denny’s five blocks away.
Palm Springs officials said that the explosion came from either inside or near a car parked on Indian Canyon outside the clinic.
“The blast appears to be an intentional act of violence,” Palm Springs Fire Chief Paul Alvarado said.
Alvarado said one person was killed, and their identity was unknown. ABC 7-TV reported that at least five people were injured.
Dr. Maher Abdallah wrote in a Facebook post “that no members of the team were harmed in the explosion.”
The explosion did not affect the clinic’s “lab – including all eggs, embryos, and reproductive materials.”

I assume that this being Leftist California, we will first be told that it was Conservatives. After that story can not be held up, it will become an unknown mystery that will never be solved. As will any repetitions.

Normally a “reproductive center” might be code words for “abortion services here”. However the clinics website shows they specialize in creating fetuses, not aborting them.

This is so weird. I actually live really close to there (in fact I went through Palm Springs very recently).
It was NOT an abortion center, it was actually a fertility center. So to be targeted is just so… weird. There wouldn’t seem to be a motive for it, unless they were particularly targeting somebody.
Whole thing is just so odd.
Given the nature of the ‘target’ this is likely to be spun as pro-life terrorism, conservative terrorism, right-wing terrorism, and other Leftist hated groups.
Is it terrorism? I certainly hope not, though my first instinct was to hope it’s not some nut that can be used to smear decent folk.
Now if it were a Christian, Conservative, or pro-life organisation authorities would likely be talking either accidental explosion, or suicide attempt – trying to downplay things. Time will tell!
It’s an interesting blast signature. Some of the damage is clearly evocative of a high-explosive detonation. But, (in that video), there doesn’t seem to be a significant crater. You can shape HE. But, that requires some skill beyond just improvising the HE itself. I do think it looks more like an HE event rather than a deflagration with a fuel of some sort (gas/propane/etc). In any event, I hope it’s not some pro-life nutter. That would be really unfortunate. I can’t think of any reason why a leftist would want to blow up a fertility clinic…except perhaps some ecology warrior worried about over-population.

That was my thought, also. But add IVF, and suddenly you are creating a bunch of fetuses and then throwing all but one away. That changes the territory, as the Tim Walz incident illustrates.

Ah, if the article had made it clearer that the “one person that was killed” was the car-bomber, I would have altered my initial assessment. The next sentence just confused things worse, looked like “battling Gell-Mann syndrome” between reporters.
The press has picked up this annoying and treasonous tic of including terrorists in the casualty/fatality numbers as if they were victims of their own crimes. It’s maddening and ridiculous, but all part of the left’s scheme erase the West/civilized society.
